The 🧱 Brick Piece in GSC is actually a poor translation of a Japanese “(roof) tile”. The ones stereotypically associated with karate demonstrations. Machop knows Karate Chop.

I literally spent like 8 hours trying to find A lucky egg Chancey but instead I got a shiny but it’s still not bad but it was a real pain😣
I recently replayed leaf green and googled it. I promptly laughed my way to the close tab button.
Just have a compoundeyes ability Pokémon like Butterfree or Yanma in the front of your party. It increases the chances of a Pokémon holding an item based on its tier. For 5% chance held items, compoundeyes increases that to 20%. Got 6 Lucky Eggs in my Heartgold game that way.
@@AlfredEiji I got one a while back (found 2 shinies along the way - got the nidorina but sadly failed the nidoran male). Apart from pick up and maybe one or two others, out of battle effects such as compound eyes weren't introduced until Emerald, which came out after FR/LG

I'm still pissed you can't plant berries in Sword and Shield.
Along with the Brick Piece, there's also the Gold Leaf and Silver Leaf that are only got by transferring specific Pokemon from Gen 1 to Gen 2. Those really messed with my head as a kid! I was totally convinced that if I got enough of them and brought them to the shrine in Ilex Forest I would be able to battle Celebi.

I’ve been looking for a lucky egg on & off in fire red for literal years now.
If you have pokemon XD you can get it in that game as well after doing a post game side quest.
I got it on the third Chansey I caught in the safari zone and used it to complete the Kanto dex and my nat dex in SS
Found it on the very first Chansey I caught in LG. Yes, too lucky.
The Lucky Egg is also available as the reward for the final side quest in the postgame of Gale of Darkness. Kelpsy berries are the lowest tier of berries that will work for evolving a Feebas in RSE. You'll need twelve of them, for what it's worth. You can find a batch of six Kelpsy berries north of Rustboro City after getting Surf, although they're the only native Kelpsy berries in the game (without help from the Berry Master's Wife), so make sure to get more than twelve before you go to evolve your Feebas, especially in Emerald.

You can get the strange souvenir and if the azure flute was never released then no one could legitimately obtain one
The strange souvenir isnt rare. You can buy it in Sun or Moon in the supermarket at Akala Island beside the Battle Dome.

Don’t forget, there was a bountiful harvest event in Sword and Shield back in November. For beating Dynamax Squovet and Greedant you got a massive reward of EV berries, stat raising berries, and event berries.

IIRC there was something with machop's code so it would always be holding an unprogrammed item, the brick piece was added to replace it as a quick fix.

As a kid I always wanted those funky E-Reader berries, and the Regi dolls! Even if the berries weren't super useful in the grand scheme of things, they just seemed like a cool thing to have.

Actually chansey has a 5% chance of holding a lucky egg in fire red and leaf green. You can also get one through a side quest in Pokemon XD. Still convoluted and annoying though 😅
yeah but the sidequest is a bitch and a half and even among players who've got xd, it's unlikely you're going to have the patience to grind your team 10-15 levels to fight in a bunch of competitively trained pokemon stadium matches to even have a chance to complete the segment.
I can see why some people say the newer games where simplified then
Man, I remember being so confused as a kid playing Platinum, I played the contests a lot and loved dressing my 'mons up, and there was a shop in Floaroma where you could buy more accessories with berries, but some cost so damn many and were kinds of berries I'd never heard of before and had no idea how to even get, like the Spelon and Belue berries, part of me thought they'd put those in as unbuyable items just to screw with you. Drove me nuts!

The idea of the Pokéwalker must've been really effective cause I would bring that thing EVERYWHERE.. Never really cared for the items so I didn't know the rarity of the Old Gateau for someone who didn't have the other Gen 4 games.

3:25 You can actually unlock the event Pokéwalker routes by connecting your DS to WiFi with a special DNS that works after 2014 when WFC shut down.

My husband arrived to the mirrage island when he was a kid .. the first time. Checked the islan... A berry and whynauts. Picked the berry and be. His brother noticed it later, and they tried so hard to recreate the event (which pokemons had, with who talked before, how many items, it had to be the first time...) They started a bunch of urban legends trying to arrive to the islan anew.
7:41 i used to have that rowap berry in pokemon brilliant pearl and wasted it on a single and very dissapointing poffin cause i didnt knew how rare it actually was and now im realizing the great mistake i have done
I didn't even know about the shed shell in Gen 7. As I found the razor claw to evolve Sneasel in Gen 7 to be the hardest evolutionary item to obtain in Sun and Moon (excluding Ultra) In fact I spent 2 weeks looking for that item and found a shiny Lycanroc before I found any Pokemon from the Jangmo-o line holding a razor claw.

In the Let's Go games, Master Balls can be found VERY rarely in Cerulean Cave. I only ever found one after spending countless hours shiny hunting in there.
I remember getting a Lucky egg as a kid without even having an idea how rare it was, on the other side, I couldn't find a single shiny on gen 3, and I played like 400 hrs of it

Also instead of going crazy trying to find Lucky Egg Chansey in FR/LG, in Gen 3 you can receive a Lucky Egg in Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness if you beat the 1st round of the Orre Colosseum and return to Eagun's wife in Agate Village. Doesn't make it any less rare cause you not only need to battle the hardest colosseum in the game, but you would also have to have the game itself and a transfer cable to get it to the mainline. But at least it is a guaranteed Lucky Egg once you've managed all of this.
You can actually buy Lava Cookies for SUPER cheap in Platinum's Dept. Store in the basement.
