Legit, I watched like 3 pickled vegetable videos before I found you. I knew instantly when you spoke this was going to be much better. And it is. thank you
I love your videos. You have such mild manners, you are very relaxing to watch. Your facial expressions are the best :-) I usually put the spices with herbs and garlic in the bottom of the jar, topped with raw veggies then pour the boiled vinegar water salt brine over. I leave it for days for the flavors to develop.
My mouth is watering watching you lol! Thanks so much for doing this video! My great Grandmother use to can her own veggies from the garden and of course pickles and I remember the flavor was just like nothing else. Thank you for making this so easy to do at home. : )
This looks A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!! Thank you for using a recipe with ACV and such a sweet, simple recipe. There's no way I can live with myself if I ever pass on this one. :D
I'm really excited to try this (as well as your asparagus, beet and cauliflower recipes!) Thank you for all the videos, you do an amazing job of explaining and production. I have a small tip... to save the edge on your knife, use the back side to scrape off your cutting board rather than the blade *smiley emoji*
nothing can grow in Houston. the dirt is all sand and mud.and the junk they sell as dirt in stores is nothing but mulch.people here have never seen what a real rich brown or black natural dirt looks like.that's why you can grow everything in California and nothing here. not to mention the heat and humidity and grub worms.
Yes that is an older or very transitional item to use in canning, it is supposed to keep pickles fresh and crisp I believe. Many old recipe call for alum, I do not use it as often but you can add it in.
Hello, I have been searching for weeks to find a recipe for balsalmic pickled mixed vegetables, I haven't found anything but a recipe for eggs, and figs..is it okay to just use in place??
I should have been clearer, it's dark balsalmic. ;) But, yes I tried mixed vegetable;carrots, cucumber, radish, celery, cauliflower, onion(Vidalia and Spanish). I used your recipe with coriander seed, tumeric, curry and ginger. It smelled incredible then but, tonight we opened our first jar..WOW! We did the eggs too, nice with grilled and marinated eggplant and zucchini on a bed on romaine..very strong by themselves though.. Blessings in all you do, and Thanks for your time.
Are you referring to ACV with the mother..? If so, I would not use it as when you are boiling the vinegar you are killing all the good stuff in it....! so I would just use the ACV without the mother, why destroy the good stuff.....! But the recipe sounds like a good one! Thanks for sharing!
totally enjoyed your videos will be using your methods and some combinations to make my own. Will tag you in my posts. Definitely subscribed hope you do the same.
