      @@theindependentclause3948 Yeah, miss it.
Need to get it working on a PC again...
      I bought it several times.
The 4 CD version probably 3 times, because CD 1 kept breaking, then the 2 DVD or 2 CD version (or whatever it was).
Then at least 3 different online only versions.
I remember visiting the forums during the wait after the game, before Dreamfall launched.
Apparently they had many different iterations with different gaming communities there.
      And some amazing fan art.
Wonderful desktop backgrounds and stories based on the TLJ universe.
I kind of partly remember some of the people in the community.
      A young German girl.
One guy that used the pink gorilla as his avatar and I think the first letter of his nick was "W" something...
And there's a few more I'd recognize if I'd see them in the forum...
But each iteration of the forum went down at some point or other...

Syberia, the memories, I love the first 2 games. This one is more intimate and emotional then the more adventurous past titles, but the story is just fantastic. After the death of Benoit Sokal in 2021 the world is going to be a bit less magical... I bet he's having fun riding mammoths with Hans in Syberia. Prepare the tissues Gab, this is going to be tough!

I don't make quite that level of aesthetic journals, either... BUT one trick I've found is to tape in anything that was of interest (especially if flat), or if there's a simple shape that matches the topic just draw it in around (bats and pumpkins on Halloween). A good rule of thumb is to be writing things that you may want to consider at a later time and adding a visual element that will help you recall where you put that idea as you flip through pages!

So I got curious about whether or not gas left in a tank for 60 years (the motorcycle/sidecar bit by the train) would work, and it turns out gas (petrol) oxidizes to the point of losing combustibility after 3-6 months so… no. But also, anyone reading this who’s been storing gas in your garage or something, keep this in mind haha

On the note of cheese. You can visit the Cheddar Gorge in England where they make different kinds of cave matured cheddar. When I went, we went through the caves and got glowstick necklaces with my parents and it was a really cool experience and then to walk by the areas in the caves where the actual cheese is kept was so cool. We also had a little tour in the cheese factory and saw how the cheese is made before its matured and it was nice and informational. At the end of the tour we ended up in the shop where you can buy those cheeses and there were many samples of different flavours. I tried some kind of spiced cheddar that was i dont even remember how old, but really really old. It was spicy and heavenly honestly. I'd love to go back there

At least in this opening sequence, it seems more laid back, highlighting the beautiful scenerie and story elements. the first two games in particular had some nasty puzzles (one train activation sequence comes to mind). the third one, though I still like it, seemed to bring in some outside 3rd party badguys that really made the story weird. I've always enjoyed hoe Kate became such a rebel just by not going home and I love how her signature leather trousers how made it in every game. I'm hoping for a happy ending for Kate. Hi, you just won a subscriber by talking about roquefort, a great cheese made from sheep's milk, soaked in cellars.
I put you a small description of the place.
The roquefort is thus raised in the cellars. These are natural caves. The origin of the cellars of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon is due to a gigantic collapse of a part of the rock of Combalou which took place one million years ago. This landslide formed faults and caves. Each cellar has its own personality, its character, its charm, but above all a microclimate which will induce a different way of maturing the Roquefort cheese.
This cheese on a slice of fresh buttered bread is to cry with happiness. 😊😉
Well otherwise I watch your game sessions very often, with translator I don't speak English well enough even if I end up making progress.
I like your enthusiasm for new games and your kindness. You were so nice with the little stray cat. I loved it.
I'll be back to watch you progress on Siberia

It seems that the third game was more of an adjustment period for the studio. This is my first Siberia game, so I was quite excited when it won in the stream poll! And just heck! Kate is so pretty. This game is so pretty, but the story is so dark lol. That being said I love the story so far. I like how much it builds but at the same time, its not afraid to go there. I still have to finish the second vod for this game, but I am so looking forward to see how this all ends.

I love that two timeline perspective between Dana and Kate. I wonder how they will collide later on? So excited for this. I haven't seen Syberia for such a long time, i never knew it had new sequel.

Yay! I've been waiting for a playthrough of this newest installment. I remember seeing the first and second game with Odd, and it wasn't till I found CJU that I finally saw the third game. Pretty excited to see the forth with Gab.

Ah yes, Siberia. The very first thing I pirated as a young child and never finished because it asked me for a second disc and I was not a good enough hacker to figure out how to fix that lol
Seeing the images from the first game brought back some locked away memories though! good times

Hey, I'm a new subscriber and really like watching you play, find it kind of relaxing and very entertaining. I especially like the horror/thriller games you play. I'm so impressed by your gaming skills!! I wish I could be as good at gaming as you! My boyfriend wishes that too, lol! We're playing Elden Ring right now and the struggle is real. Can't believe you beat it as quick as you did! Feels like we're gonna be playing that game for a looong loong time before we get to the Final Boss. Anyway, just wanted to show my support! Keep kicking ass, and I'll be here with my snack watching and feeling suspenseful with you!

The first series of yours I ever watched was the Alice in Wonderland series, and just from the opening, this game gives off similar vibes. I’m looking forward to the adventure ☺️

Thank goodness, they made a fourth game. I was so mad they ended 3 where they did, with a massive cliff hanger after it took them a decade to make it after 2. Would have been a supremely shitty end for such a good natured character.

Oh, Syberia....my first real gaming moments were on the clunky computer my parents bought when I was in elementary school, trying to figure out the puzzles in Syberia 1 and Myst. What a flashback!

For the record,m "grüezi" (2:23:39) is pronounced "gru-e-tsi", it's the swiss german version of "Grüss Gott" (kinda like "god bless"), it's used as a form of greetng. Swiss german is a, for lack of a better term, "dialect" of German spoken in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The accent itself can vary a lot from region to region and from person to person, and it tends to have some French words thrown into the mix. It's a bit faster and rougher than German, lots of rougher consonants and such, and the spelling is also extremely inconsistent, since it depends on the user's usual vocalisation.

Gab, I'm only about 10 minutes into the video, but I noticed that the voice actress for Dana is the same voice actress for Erica in Song Of Horror! I got a vivid flashback to watching you play that game and making sure Erica Färber made it through the episode without dying. Just thought that was a neat coincidence!

This is why I love Syberia. Their creativity and details are so beautiful and they don't hold back. Newer games don't seem to have the same...I don't know how to describe it...I feel like something is missing in their story or something 🤔
