Very strange views from Prof. Snyder sometimes. It doesn't matter which nation has fewer or more scars. A simple question from me: you have a serial killer and a one-off murderer. Do you think that a single victim is less important than those of a serial offender? To me, all the victims are equal. About Volhynia. It's complete bullocks, what the Professor says. He claims that the Ukrainians were afraid of the Poles collaborating with the Soviets. Nonsense. It seems that the Professor knows nothing about our mentality. We wouldn't have collaborated neither with the Soviets nor the Germans because their ideologies smelt the same, and we're a proud nation that wants to live in a free country. Just to remind Mr. Professor, the Volhynia massacre was not only about the Poles but also other nations. It just happened that the Poles were the biggest population over there, just after the Ukrainians. The roots of the carnage were nationalism, hatred, and greed. It was very similar to what the Germans did to the Jews because the Ukrainians wanted to annihilate anyone who wasn't them. Poland wants only the acknowledgement of the massacre, an apology, and to stop denying the murder. About the roots of holocaust. If you don't want that to happen again, then never ever let the radical nationalists who promote hatred towards others nations rule a country. Add to it poverty, and you have all you need to answer the question. Once you realise that this kind of body in power tries to restrict human rights and the way of governing, i.e., by changing the constitution, then you have a clear sign of what is about to happen. And it's nothing positive. Regards
