Similar to kaito from lost judgement dlc kaito files he got the girl unlike kiryu and majima. Lost judgement was a reference to yakuza 0 majima was going to kill Dojima to keep makoto safe but Sera stop him saying that she would end up paying the price because she's innocent and has no blood on her hand while kuwana did the opposite he killed all those bullies because he was running away from responsibility that it was his fault his student ended up in a coma and who paid the price

5:48 is just heartbreaking because it sums up exactly who Ichiban is. No one should have to thank their parents for giving birth to them, and akane breaks down because she feels like she failed ichi but he still became a great man.

Considering never met your mother for 46 years since you were born. It is normal to never acknowledge them as your parent but it is bittersweet considering Ichiban never care too much about that but decided to call Akane as his mother than another stranger.

Where Tatsuya (the protag), were trained under Taizan for his matches. And near the end, it is revealed that Taizan was actually Nogi all along (Tatsuya's father)
His father still died though
