At 1:50:20 Slime literally mixed all three jokes together off the top of his head like a true patriot
Nick, Aiden, Connor and Grant seems like a fun but chill combination. Slime, Aiden, Connor and Grant on the other hand is a chaotic mess. You don't have Ludwig or Nick reeling Slime in from spiraling out. But you have Aiden who will just be led on by Smile with his crazy bits.
About the Mister Donut thing, the founder was actually Dunkin' Donuts' founder's brother-in-law.
When they broke partnership, he went and founded Mister Donut and in the 80s it became Dunkin' Donuts' largest competitor.
Then in 1990, Allied-Lyons, Dunkin' Donuts' parent companty at that time, acquired Mister Donut and every branch in North America was offered to be converted to a Dunkin' Donuts.
Currently, both Dunkin' and Mister Donut are owned by Inspire Brands since 2020. Inspire Brands also owns Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic Drive-In, Jimmy John's, and Baskin-Robbins.
Mister Donut only has one store left in the US on 2720 Grovelin Street, Godfrey, IL. Other than that they operate in El Salvador, Indonesia, Japan, Nigeria, Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand, with the last being the biggest market second to only Japan.
So that's why there's no Dunkin Donuts in Taiwan
@@jack90054 Probably? But here in Thailand, where Mister Donut is the No.1 donut brand, still does have Dunkin' as a competitor alongside Krispy Kreme.
Edit: I did a little bit of digging and found out that
1. Philippines and Indonesia also have them.
2. They opened the first Dunkin' Donuts in Taiwan in 2007.
By 2013, people were complaining that they were catering towards "more Asian tastes", and that they were essentially just copying what Mister Donut did.
In 2016, they shut down the remaining 19 stores due to low sales and a termination of franchise agreement with Mercuries and Associates.
They did say that they want to find another franchisee in Taiwan, but there has been no news since then.

Super fun episode. I lived in Taiwan for a decade myself so it was interesting hearing the overlaps and subtle differences in day to day life. I fully hear you all about good public transit and walking. That’s the thing I miss most about Taipei.
Also I hope Slime is able to regain control of his sphincter again soon.

As a TT viewer, it's weird because Garnt can be both the quietest and funniest guy in an episode. Personally though I find Connor more consistently funny. All of them have their moments though.
@@dunzek943 A lot of it comes from Connor's social experiences too. Since he really puts himself in a lot of situations, even before coming to Japan, so you would always here fascinating and funny interactions from him.
