- All of the Quick Time Events fails and deaths in the game "Dragon's Lair"
I consider this game to be the grandfather of Quick Time Events. It was one of, if not the first game to use this gameplay style. What I personally love about this game is the animation, done by Don Bluth.
That being said, holy crap are some of these QTEs complete bullshit. It just reeks of unavoidable deaths just to gouge more quarters from players that many arcades have done in the past. - Ігри

Someone needs to make a hand-drawn QTE game like Dragon's Lair but the deaths in like a car chase or something should be cartoony af.
Some of the deaths in "Road Avenger" are pretty funny...But I think you mean something something more along the lines of "Scooby Doo!" :-P :-)

Seriously, I have no idea how anyone could memorize this whole game without spending a fortune. Dragon's Lair is the true definition of a money gouger.

If you have a PS3, try "Beyond Two Souls" qte fails
If not, I would suggest try the "Wolf Among Us" from Telltale Games (the same that made Walking Dead series).

I've actually been working on both Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain. I want to get those done before I move on to Beyond.
Also, funny enough, I just started The Wolf Among Us the other day. That beginning Woodsman fight has a crapload of QTEs. Seriously, I had to reload that same fight like 10-15 times just to make sure I got them all.

There are numerous cases of animation errors in this game, likely because Don Bluth had to hand-draw a lot of it.
Take the Giddy Goons scene at 2:45. You see that little rope that's over the stairs? That was from a deleted death where Dirk steps on the rope, triggering a trap that shoots several javelins into him. It was likely removed for being a bit too gruesome.

I have a question. How do you know what you have to click? There aren't any hint!
Some times the game gives an idea of what to click. But a lot of times it really is a game of chance. It gets to the point of pure frustration.
Here's an example. At 9:41, immediately after he jumps over the geiser. There's an aerial shot that lasts a little less than a second. Immediately after it, it cuts to a different aerial shot. If you did not push the right button before it cuts to the second aerial shot, that's a death. The game literally expects you to assess the situation and push the correct button at the right moment within half a second. Actually, scratch that. The game doesn't expect you to realize what you must do. The game expects you to die so that it could force you to put more quarters into the arcade machine. That's what makes this game so infuriating are moments like this.
Thankfully in later ports, there's an option for button prompts to appear on the screen.

I actually like how weird it is. Between Dirk's wimpy screams and the random dangers, I find it hilarious.
Too bad the game itself sucks ass. One of the most unforgiving QTE games ever made, and it was the first as well!
