Fine video my father got the silage put in yesterday and we managed to get the cover on last night thankfully I've only a couple of wee fields to cut and bale but think I'll wait till next week ps you and Barbara need to take a trip to armoy on Thursday night get yourselves a few more ewes to eat all that surplus grass🙂
Ideally cut the grass and let it wilt / dry out for a day .. it is the same for bale silage or silage made in a clamp / pit , you don't want rain in the process if possible for best quality !

Was at Saintfield breeders sale tonight .. AWE .. did we miss out on helping put the tyres on the clamp !

Great video thanks. The sheep are so cute and nosey. Does it matter if the grass is damp when wrapped in the plastic?
