  • Sipadan is the best dive spot in the world. 'Discovered' by Jacques Cousteau, who made a quick two day stop in 1988 which turned into six weeks, Sipadan has more variety, more quantity and bigger fish then most places: turtles, sharks, jacks, barracuda and clouds of coral reef fish.

I have a friend, whose father was the CEO of National Geographic ,when he was growing up. He told me Jacques Cousteau was a frequent dinner guest at his house here in Maryland. The stories he heard were incredible.

Back trouble is what has stopped me from diving [45years]. You might try using ankle weights, 1-2 pounds each. that will put your diving, snorkeling position slightly more verticle taking the weight off your mid section, and the reverse bend on your back. CHEERS AND FAIR WINDS Steve h.

Wonderful. In New Caledonia in 2011 we saw a large brown patch in the water ahead of us and we thought it was an uncharted rock, but it turned out to be a turtle! That's the nearest we came to seeing one up close.
Congratulations Liz and Jamie on a great series of videos. Maybe we wish we hadn't shipped the yacht to Turkey and sold her.
