- Hey fam! Here's another video just before recon application starts tomorrow. Disclaimer, these are all just based on my past experiences back in 2015. Things may have already changed especially with the new requirements especially that free tuition is already being implemented. I was just hoping to help. Please comment down below about new guidelines and adjustments so incoming freshies can stay updated! Thank you!

Thank you for this, honestly without the extra 2 years in shs, 15 ako magc-college and how i wish na that's the case. I want to have more time to figure out what I want at that stage. Plus, I feel like yung program sa shs di pa ganon ka-polished so i think it's a bit of a waste, 2 years din naman yun.

Hello po! Nawaitlist po ako sa BASS Economics sa UPB tapos nakapasa po ako kaso gusto ko po talaga magjourn, parang nahipan lang po ako ng hangin kaya nag econ po ako sa choices huhu.
Paparecon po ba ako sa BA Comms para mas malapit sa journ, or ituloy ko na lang po yung Economics then drop yung majors?

Hello po ate! I'm a dpwas passer po and i got a degree program that's not really my choice but i'd like to give it a try. Probabbly kasi puro core courses ang FST. You can take up more GE subjs next sem via sais enlistment. Goodluck with your shifting!!

Ate tanong ko po ano po yung the best BS agriculture or ABME? When it comes to opportunities and salary kung anong mas makakabuti.
Aiza Rebuyas depende yan. Have you watched my vlog on “what is agribusiness?” inexplain ko dun difference ng bs abme at bs agri. Depende yan sa interest mo. More on business kami sa abme, so we are being trained to start our own farms, business, or company. Not really just as an employee. Pero bs agri naman can also do that, mas technical sila sa field.

Hello ate, how to transfer in UPLB (from other university) at macrecredit po ba yung mga GE courses na natake ko sa dati kong university? Please enlighten me po. Thanks!
I think yung mga PE and NSTP classes lang ang kinecredit ng UP based sa mga kilala kong transferee. Try to ask the registrar nalang din :)

Hi Krista! I’m not really sure about that 😅 kaya nga it’s a risk talaga. Pero try mo pa din! Baka onti lang ang nagapply for that course. Magbackup ka nalang ng 2nd choice na pasok lahat ng subtests mo ☺️

Hi ate! Qualifier ako ng UP Manila kaso dost scholar po ako and 'di po priority course ng dost yung napasahan ko (BA Phil arts, 4th choice ko). Nagrequest na ko for change of course pero waiting pa rin sa result. I want to be safe po kaya i'm planning to apply for recon sa UPLB while waiting sa result ng change of course ko. Kaso po 'di ko alam subtests scores ko, pano ko po malalaman kung pasok ako sa criteria ng gusto kong course?
You can try contacting OUR head office in diliman :) or read mo yung results mo baka may email na nakasaad dun for queries.

That’s what exactly I went through 😂 Thank you Lord, I graduated after 3 courses, twice shifting across diff colleges. Not sure lang about sa policies now.
When shifting po ba need pa ba kayong i rank para ma admit like for those quota programs?

Hello po. Hindi ko na po mapigilan humingi ng advice dahil hindi na po kaya ng mental health ko i-sarili ito. Ganito po kasi 'yon, former waitlisted in DPWAS po ako at na-assign sa BS Forestry. Ang dream course ko po ay Civil Engineering na nakuha ko po sa UST. Ano po kaya ang ipupursuse ko? Ang hirap po kasi kapag UST sobrang magastos. Kaya naman po pero sobrang mahihirapan ang parents ko. :(( Kapag UPLB naman po kasi, sorry to say po, pero ang hirap kasi pag-aralan yung isang field na hindi mo talaga gusto at malayo sa gusto mo. Balita ko 2 years ka muna bago makapagshift at mahigpit po sila. Walang kasiguraduhan na makakapag-shift ka agad after 2 years. Tyaka po ayoko naman po sanang gawing stepping stone ang BS Forestry dahil alam kong maraming katulad kong estudyante na nangangarap din po maging Forester balang araw o gustong makuha yung slot. Ano po bang dapat kong piliin o gawin? UP LB at tapusin ang BS Forestry dahil mas praktikal o UST na nandoon ang dream course ko pero magastos. Ang hirap po nang ganito. Gusto ko na lang nang mahabang tulog para di ko na maisip pero limited lang yung time namin sa pageenroll at kailangan ko na talagang magdecide. :(( Advice naman po mga ate at kuya.

You are so blessed by the Lord for having the opportunity to reach this point. ❤️ Not everyone passed both schools kaya for sure magaling ka. This is a hard decision to make, especially that BS Forestry does not easily allow their students to shift out, yung iba kahit 2 yrs di talaga. I have an orgmate na pinayagan kasi pinaglaban nya and nag letter din sya kay chancy to help her out. She’s now in comm arts. I know UST is also a good school pero pareho tayo we also can’t risk our finances kaya scholarships din ang habol ko. I can’t give you an exact advice, but I want to pray for you. May you have wisdom from the Lord and may His plans for you lead to your decisions. Ikaw din, renesmee, ipagpray and idiscern mo yan for peace of mind and wisdom. ❤️ Kahit saan ka man mapunta, always seek peace and pursue it. Galingan mo ang journey mo, I am rooting for you! 💗✨
You mentioned po na nakapasok na po kayo ng one day sa PLM nung nareceive nyo yung tawag ng UPLB. Pano po yung process na ginawa nyo regarding paglipat sa UP? Since student na po kayo ng PLM that time?
I don’t recommend doing that. Di talaga ako pinayagan ng registrar, nakiusap lang mom ko sa president. Nahirapan kami makiusap university president.
Ate im still in dilemma po. My course is not related to my dream course at all. But I passed sa UPLB and I want a course in UPM po kasi. Should I continue my course and shift after a year? Is it possible to shift with different course in a different campus po ba?
Hi! Transfer ata ang tawag not shift kapag change campus din :) Yes.
Ate can I ask what is NSTP, ROTC, LTS and CWTS is? Nakita ko po kasi sa vmed curriculum. Tas ano po ibig sabihin kapag naka parenthesis ung number of units? Like choice mo po if kukunin mo yon? Naguguluhan po ako sa units and subjects and pano po nadedetermine yon whew. Sana matulungan nio po me! Freshie po here hehe
Bangtan TXT NSTP- national student traning progam?? Ata Hahaha tas ang under nun is ROTC (parang army na CAT), LTS (Magtuturo sa mga bata/hs students or magpapaseminar sa community), CWTS (Community based projects). Choice mo among the three kung ano kukunin mong track. Pag nakaparenthesis ibig sabihin hindi counted sa GWA ang grade

Hello po! 😊 In-aallow pa rin po ba ng elbi mag-accept ng recon from up qualifiers from other campuses? Nabasa ko po kasi na ang UPM ay hindi na tumatanggap :
I am DPWAS po kasi sa upm. I already submitted my forms na po thru their email. But then again, to have a fallback, nag-recon din po ako sa elbi which is my second choice campus. It is okay lang naman po di ba?
Pwede naman siguro ☺️ basta may decision ka na bago mag deadline ang either campus
Ask ko lang po why did you shift out of IE po? I passed BSFT po kase and planning on shifting to IE after a year.
Hirap po makapasa ng math at physics for me, pano pag engineering science na hehehe ayon went to abm. Some said na mas malaki pa sweldo ng business grads vs engineers. Turned out true for me :) More than double. So no regrets I shifted out hahaha

Basta magpataas ka ng grades and comply your requirements early! Kaya mo yan :)

Ano po bang maadvice niyo po sakin, since dream course ko po ang CE sa uplb, should i take other course (not BS ABE) like comm arts so makakashift po ako after a year agad sa CE (katulad po ng nangyari po sa inyo) or take BS ABE then shift after two years in BS CE?
Why not transfer na agad to uplb CE? ☺️ taasan mo nalang grades mo. Baka masyado ka na madelay if mag ibang course ka pa.
Ang CEAT po kasi di po tumatanggap ng transferee except po sa BS ABE :((

Mataas po ba yung chance na makapasok ako sa course under ng CAS? Papipiliin po ba ako sa course na kung ano ang mga available o mag eemail lang sila sa kung ano yung isa lang na course na ioofer sa akin? What if hindi ko gusto yung course? May chance pa po ba ako na pumili ulit. Thank you po.
PS: pasensya na po kung madaming tanong. Wala lang po kasi akong sure na school na mapapasukan at 1 month na ako nag - aasa sa UP since the result of the UPCA noong July 15.

I am not sure kasi case to case basis din. Yung iba napapayagan kahit bawal hehe
One of our Proffersors in our Review Center shared to me that BS Forestry doesn't allow their to students to shift.

Noong qualifiers appeal po kasi hindi na lumabas ang first choice ko sa mga pwede kong pag-appeal-an. Depende po siguro kung lalabas ang 1st choice niyo pagdating ng qualifiers appeal. (nakapagshift na ako haha) Congrats po pala and goodluck sa college life!!!

Hello po ate! I have a question.. if you are a college graduate from other school, would it still be possible to enter another degree in UPLB po? I am currently a BS-ENT student in DLSU who aspires to pursue Veterinary medicine in UPLB after I graduate po kasi.. 🥺 If ever possible po iyon, paano po ang process ng admission since only high school graduates who havent taken any college degree can take UPCAT?

Im not sure if you still need an answer to this but I took my MS in dlsu and im taking dvm in uplb now. You can still apply to dvm after graduating, you won’t be taking an upcat anymore if you apply as a second degree student :)

Strict po sila sa cut off talaga. Sabi ng up friends ko, if unang kita pa lang nila na hindi pumasok sa 50 cut off, ide-disregard na agad nila. Imagine there are 30 000 plus applications na pumasok sa cut off, syempre mas priority nila yun. Advice ko lang, isecond choice mo na lang yung di abot para di nila agad idisregarf

Hi Precious! I’m not really sure about that. Possible kasi na baka yung mga original upcat passers for that course ay hindi naman nag confirm ng slots nila. So pwede ka pa din mag try if gusto mo talaga, lalo na DPWAS ka naman and mataas ang upg mo for sure. But to be safe, mag back up ka nalang din ng iba. ☺️

Hello po ate Rica, may I know what is Agri and biosystem engineering?? The studies and future careers?
It is like mechanical engineering but for agriculture. I am not really familiar about it, but in my ABE class, we drove a farm tractor and learned different drying methods for crops. :)
