- Dave goes to Endicott College's local pizza place Little Italy, which may be another instance of conveyor belt pizza.

Dave being kind and true to his MassHole roots. Everyone knows that's a 4.0 at best anywhere else
garbage
Mayb a 3 Masshole lol 😆
Little Italy is nasty lol
Yeah that looks disgusting. The second he opened the box i could tell it was garbage. Look at the freaking dough.
Dave going soft
That's really a 3.1 he gave an incredibly high score
exactly, 3.1 below average pizza, not 6+ above average...what the absolute fuck..why rate out of 10 if the worst of worst is above a 5
He stopped giving bad scores when people started review bombing the businesses.
@@iSoundpro yeah, his scale is actually just 6 to 9... Nothing is outside that.
He's soft as cotton
Yeah I can respect that though, he doesn't wanna give bad reps to a small business.
One propped up homer score, everybody knows it was a 3.1.
is actually below a 3.1. if this was a 3.1 how does it get much worse? dave scores it above an average of 5 at 6.2...meaning it's 62% favourable...which it isnt...is more like a 1.8 rip off
Back when he first started doing these this pizza woulda been a high 3, low 4 at BEST. Prez is really letting it get to him that his scores could make or break these small businesses. Gotta maintain the integrity of the reviews, Prez!
Well since covid , he was helping small businesses. He doesn't wanna hurt them regardless.
“Wow, sweet sauce” - Dave surprised by a place that literally has “Home of the Sweet Sauce” on its sign.
That's a generous, home-cookin' score right there. It had the trifecta of sadness: No crisp, doughy and soft a-la Pizza Hut/Domino's, & super-sweet sauce. Should've been a 5.7 at best.
I had it pegged at a 5.2. Home cooking for sure.
hey bro, how can it be a 5.7 at best when it is one of worst looking pizza we seen, if this is a 5.7 then what is a 1.0? What is point of this scale out of 10? 5.7 means above average, 5.0 average...this is below average pizza looks more like a 1.8
@@iSoundpro 5.0 isn't average when most things he scores are 6-8
Even bad pizza is pretty good
You are don't trust Dave. He is long island boy get it
looked like they knew you were coming and had the pizza thawed out and ready.
if scale is 0-10 how can this under par below average piece of shit be scored above average in the 6's?
@iSoundpro I wondered that as well. Looked terrible. Can't imagine the taste being any different.
Dave coming up with new math negative infinity crisp love it
When he took a bite out of the crust it looked like he was eating a marshmallow.
lol
Should've packed a smores kit
One s’more everyone knows the rules.
The wind literally closed the box for him😂
Sign: Home of the sweet sauce!
Dave: Woah, this tastes like a sweet sauce.
That's a very very generous score. As a local to this place a fair score would be 3.0. I would order from Dominos before this place.
Ugh that's saying alot. Dominoes is fucking disgusting 🫣. Their thin crust tastes like a cracker, ingredients are garbage . Makes me wanna throw up thinking about Dominoes. Sucks because they use to be really good, but with all these big chains it's about fast and mass production not quality.
Way too generous! 💯 It actually puts his entire system in jeopardy!!!
I haven't tried this place, but as a Salem resident I do have to say he was farrr too generous with Flying Saucer and especially with Mandees... 😔
That’s pushing it
That’s a 3.2 slice all day, Dave is getting SOFT.
If you are looking for old oven cooked pizza in Beverly MA you have to try Joe's pizza been around since late 50's early 60's thin crust
DAVE doesn't wait till 7pm for the guy to open
@@deputyduffy but he can definitely get there at 1:30 after last call. Just in time to bet on an overseas sports game with the beat cop waiting for his lunch definitely seeing nothing weird about the pickup orders.
I think they'd turn off the lights if he showed up anyway, I never got the vibe they wanted more business than they had. In terms of pizza.
Mikez pizzaria in Beverly.
You'll thank me later😂
Especially the BBQ honey steak tip subs
@@speedballbustanutinc.4512 their subs will definitely knock you straight out.
@@speedballbustanutinc.4512 what does this have to do with PIZZA
Dave that’s a 5.3 at best
I love it when I know Dave gave a suspiciously high score and looking at the comments I feel validated.
Dave I know you have been told this before, but pizza all over the world is dependent on the water. Two brothers years ago used to get a tanker of water delivered from New Jersey. Same thing with bread. West coast rolls are terrible all like subway bread!!!South Philly guy here.
I worked in a bar once that had a conveyor belt pizza cooker. Boss found a good deal on uncooked basic cheese pizzas and got a bunch. Just add toppings per order. The oven actually cooked it well. You just have to set the heat and speed of the belt correctly and it will come out perfect every time. I wouldn't do that if my entire business was pizza, but a belt oven is ideal if you want to upgrade your bar food quick and cheap.
Dave, you gotta redo the north shore south shore bar pies. The world wasn't there when you did em. Now you have the opportunity to bring them to life!
Dave being too nice everybody knows the rules!
It may not fit the criteria on paper but Little Italy is a guilty pleasure for me a few times every year. Doesn’t change the quality of the pizza but the crew their have always been super chill and they’ve never given me a pie I don’t like. (This is all coming from someone who has live in Beverly for 21 years but I’m trying not to let my roots get the best of my judgement here)
Beverlys options are shockingly slim if you want fresh dough pizza. I gave up after ten years and just leaned into the greek pie.
Mikes pizzaria in Beverly. The greatest honey BBQ steak tips in the world.
You'll thank me later
Beverly resident here, you do have the option to have traditional sauce instead, in case anybody was curious
The brutal honesty is why we love you Portnoy! Keep them coming.
You should have upgraded your score to a 6.3 for that aesthetically pleasing pizza box.
Generic box.
Pizza box of my childhood
box which you will throw into recycling without a second thought after your cold undercooked pizza arrives with delivery charger 20 mins late, this is a 2.1
@@iSoundpro If it has grease stains, it's garbage
Anyone else remember this place in the 1980's operated by the old Italian couple? The woman was always yelling at that poor guy...It was like dinner theater...
Dave Is the uncle rico of the internet lol
idk why I even watch these videos and love them so much, I’m not even from the US
One 6.2, 2-minute, conveyor belt, negative infinity crisp, very doughy pizza review. Everybody knows Chuck-e-cheese is getting scared...
🐭👍🏻👍🏻
he reviewed chucky cheese and liked it.
Love your pizza reviews bro you like the cool substitute teacher 😂😂😂🔥🙌💯
Dave slowly realizing that the North Shore sucks at pizza.
Little Italy... greetings from Italy 🇮🇹👋🍕
Sign says home of the sweet sauce. Dave surprised by the sweet sauce.
I'm surprised he took a second bite 😳
Loving the Christmas front door vibes in mid March.
That is such a pet peeve of mine, especially after we've changed the clocks! Take down the damn wreath already, people!
Essex county is a year round wreath and white christmas lights zone.
FYI - The brand of conveyor pizza oven the dude was referring to was *Middleby Marshall* , from Chicago.
They claim to have made conveyor ovens in the USA since 1888.
One bite everyone knows its time for dave to drop a new one!!!
Prez needs to review Sam and Joe’s in Danvers. North shore mass is my home town (Salem) and everything is very basic or Greek style. Sam and Joe’s, been there forever many years, is still one of the best kept secrets.
I started out in the low 6s. But as he was eating it and commenting, the score kept dropping. Down into the fives, lower and lower and my final guess was 4.8 or 4.9. I was shocked at Dave's score. Shocked! I tells ya!
Ahhhhh....the best part of my day is watching Mr. Portnoy eat a slice.
Next time you’re in Los Angeles you have to go to “Tomato Pie Pizza Joint”, in South Pasadena.
Nobody goes toLA on purpose.
How about casabianca on Colorado not too bad and the food is excellent always away on a Friday and Saturday there is a wait to get in
Sour grapes Craig
I am going to try it. I will go to the tomato pie joint the next time I am in Pasadena
@@johnkovalicky3389 I'm from northeast Jersey, so any Italian food I've had in Cali was absolutely awful, but I'd be willing to throw away all of the great food here and dogshit weather for the amazing weather and vibe of Cali.
You CAN get a crisp with these conveyor belt ovens. There’s a place near by house that makes very good pizza with one of those. I was shocked to learn thatv
I moved out of mass about 6 years ago, but I used to love this spot. Heard they got a new oven a few years ago and it hasn’t been quite the same. Sweet sauce pizza is awesome though 🤷♂️
One bite everyone knows the noise the box made simultaneously as Dave took a bite tricked me into thinking it was crisp.
Yeah I've been there twenty or so times and I about flipped my lid when I heard that. Ain't NO way that came from the crus... of its' the box.
Dave, you gotta do Rocco's Pizza Maple Street Danvers, get it well done, old school right up your alley, being going there 20 years plus...
Tripolis in lawrence, la festa in Dover, NH. And Pizza barn up in Ossipee
That pizza needed another 4 minutes in the oven, minimum.
the cheese would get burnt. their oven settings are screwed up.
Its not that. Its color by numbers pizza. Chain style. In oven for X amount of minutes, cheese comes out brown, done. Garbage
Try Franco's in Waltham. It was even better back in the day when it was across the street and you would sit in old Church pews, but it's still really good
That half-brown corpse of a Christmas wreath still hanging on the door told you everything you needed to know about this review.
There's so much good pizza in the North Shore and Dave goes to back to back places nobody has heard of.
Dave you should go to the south shore and redo Town Spa and Cape Cod Cafe. There’s also another good bar style in Bridgewater, MA run out a guys garage it’s called Jay’s Flyin Pizza. It’s on par with Town Spa imo.
That pizza looked worse than Sbarro...we all know Dave should've given that thing a 3.9 given the flop and extra sweet sauce smh
His reviews these past 2 days have both been about a full point higher than they looked like they should've been. Both looked mid 5s at best.
We call that the Northshore Bump. Everybody knows the scores.
@@GetUpTheMountains 😂🤣
Should try Side Alley Sally's and Falconer in Beverly if you're looking for the Crisp.
I have to say that they are definitely good but they look to me like the frozen pizzas you get here in Italy in supermarkets
I gotta go to italy someday.
@@RyanMcAndrews you will never eat food the same again in america be warned
@@RyanMcAndrews hope you will soon but go to touristy places otherwise the difference will be shocking 😄
@@ratus7538 😆👏👏👏
@@ratus7538 one of the smartest and most hilarious comments ever read!🏆😄
Back in the day The Capri or Carmelo’s were the places to go for pizza in Beverly.
Dave is breaking our hearts giving a 2.1 a 6.2....
you should try this place called Ercole's pizza if you ever visit baltimore its like 45 minutes north of the city
I have second cousins that lived in Somerville, right down the street from Tuffs University. Haven't been there since I was 19, NOW I'm 38😬
IF DAVE DOESN'T DO PIZZA AT THE PRIME GAS STATION IN SALEM IM GONNA LOSE IT
DAVE! we need a Kirkland Ohio visit!
“Biga Wood Fired Pizza” an bro it’s like Neapolitan-ish but it holds its form up and is crispy! The reheat actually makes it almost even better!
I’m calling 8.1 or higher!
Yo go to Stella’s in Brockton Ma that and Cape Cod Cafe..also in Brockton..many many more on the south shore
Did you ever do a video review on hot springs,Arkansas? or was there just a rating?
As a NASA scientist who watches UA-cam videos….I can honestly say that this is a legit UA-cam video….and I watched it, thank you……. GO SPORTS GO👍👍
The Middleby Marshall is a conveyer belt pizza oven
a little 15 pounds gained, im proud of you no more uppers binges
One sign that says 'Home of the Sweet Sauce', everybody knows that Steve can't read
That was a 6.1 all day! The hometown advantage game through for the conveyor belt Pizza 🍕 😂
Middleby Marshall is the oven at Sally’s and Pepe’s in New Haven. That’s THE oven!
The bread of that pizza looks more suitable for peanut butter & jelly, everybody knows the rules...
Another from the classiest place in the country. The North Shore.
I hope he makes it to Riverview Pizza in Ipswich. That will be one for the ages.
He'd come out of there ranting about what a time machine it is then they'd fuck up his pizza on purpose because they have exactly the right amount of business already. He'd love the place but the pizza is pretty not his style.
@@jcarry5214 8.2! Jaw is on the floor. North shore bump in full effect! I’m so glad he liked it.
@@GetUpTheMountains he went? I can’t believe it.
Maria's and Delaney's in Gloucester are a lot like Monte's. The only 3 good thin crust places on the north shore
its says on the storefront "Home of the sweet sauce"
Dave: hmm sweet sauce, really sweet sauce!
Go to ranonis in Dartmouth! Alot of good pizza in south mass
That was the quickest review. 😆
At this point I don't know who's softer??? Dave or the pizza crust???
If you listen real closely you can hear Dave's coaches yelling " kid, your stepping in the bucket!!" Thank goodness he stuck to delivering newspapers on his candy apple red Sears Schwinn.
Dave saing "I'm not going to give home-town scores" then proceeds to give home-town scores.
Fair little Italy’s my favorite spot, their sauce sweet but not killing you with it, there’s days we’re it cooked crispier than others but still my favorite joint
Dave should try Giovanni's Home of Pizza in Natick, MA.
Gotta try Essex's NY Deli and Pizza in Salem.
Dave and Al Bundy telling stories about days of glory everybody knows the rules
drive down to Somerville and review Sacco's Bowl Haven in Davis Sq.
Been here probably 20 times in the past few years. The pizza you got is nothing like what they usually make, for better or for worse.
If you're gonna do all your HS rivals - you gotta do Pizza Centre in Winthrop
Did Dave do the Don Cherry on the box at the end there? I feel like that was a Don Cherry.
My immediate guess was 6.4. So close to getting it right!
TRY GENAROS PIZZA IN EAST HAVEN CT ON BRANFORD BEST IN CT!
You gotta hit up Riverview in Ipswich, you won't be disappointed.
Entro music is my Pavlovian happy place….
1:26 what was that crisp lol did they edit that in
You're 30 years too late. The guy who runs Little Italy bought the shop and recipe from husband and wife from Italy. Luigi made the pies and his wife made everything else. They had a son Enzo that I thought would take over, he didn't. The guy running it now makes a faint shadow of what Luigi made. Luigi was a master. Sweet sauce but crispy and chewy at the same time. Mozzarella slices not shredded and used a traditional oven.
Lived in Massachusetts for 22 years. The way to get good pizza in that state is to drive to New Haven or NY Metro.
Have you tried Pini’s in Medford?
Dave, please try amazing pizza across the street. It’s crispy crust. No conveyor belt
All I can say is the best pizza for north shore try Riverview pizza in Ipswich
Dave you should do a re-review of something like Santoro’s for the people that don’t know
When there used to be a real Italian strong-hold in the North Shore back in the day (I'm talking about immigrants and children of immigrants) ... had the best pizzerias and bakeries outside of the North End of Boston. Loooong for those days ...
Generous score, wow. By all accounts I would’ve expected low 5s at the very most
Daves got the red🥃nose
So many pizza places like that in Worcester.
