thnx for ur info. May be U can assist me here. My heat pump system, that has electric heat strips, has the indoor unit running all the time and BLOWING warm air because the control TSTAT which is in the HEAT MODE, is not turning on the OUT DOOR UNIT. What can I check to see, that maybe is the cause' as to why the first stage of heat, (which is from the heat pump) is not functioning? And another question. Because my thermostat brings on the Aux. heat automatically, (which is the 2nd stage of heat), is this normal for all thermostats? Your reply (or any other) will be appreciated. Thnx again.
HI, i run 5 wires from goodman 3 ton heat pump to the air handler have way on my way to the air handler i spliced with the thermostats wire , is this correct way ? (reason to spliced have way cuz i need to cut open a wall to sneak the wire from the thermostat like 15-20ft ) or i need to run thermostats wire just like heat pump wires to the air handler board ? thank you in advance

But what if your heat pump only takes 4 wires?
What are the specific terminal labels of your 4 wires?
@ryanhoger1 Nevermind, found out the new Bosch systems work a bit differently, thanks. You can also diagnose them without any tools, pretty cool.
