One was made so well you won't realize it's two different songs until you listen to monster and infinity separately but it WILL get irritating once you got used to One because you'll be singing it while listening to them separately then realize the song went another way from how you know it and it can get so unsatisfying. The two songs are great on their own though

i have to say, lots of people ruined this debut for me. back then i was only a shawol and didnt know anything about nct. nctzens and exo ls were furious because their members would get overworked with super m. we shawols just had to say goodbye to almost all of hinee because military and taemin was alone, so we were SO HAPPY SOMEONE COULD BABYSIT HIM LOL jokes aside, this was the wildest debut i have ever experienced. jopping is the one song that i listened to everyday for months without getting tired of it. thanks to super m, i became an nctzen. i love what SM did, despite the amount of hate from all sides edit: no, One is super popular and personally my favorite mv and song from super m. also, the 'two songs in one' isnt like u would think. u have to listen to monster and infinity to get it. its mixed very well together

Ten is such an underrated vocalist. I feel like ppl don’t pay enough attention to him as a vocalist. His solo song “New Heroes” is actually what got me into NCT/WayV/SuperM in the first place.
SuperM is crazy, it’s literally the assemble of the best of the best. They debuted on the top of billboard, Super One spent also weekssss at number 1. They are insane, truly! One is personally my favourite title track, followed by Tiger Inside! It’ll be interesting for you to eventually hear Monster and Infinity separately tho! I love your reactions and reading these comments about the mix of “One”. There’s 3 main things you really miss musically because of the blend like: 1) The amazing intro of Infinity, the vocals are so good (s/o Baek) and the back track is insanely full for the verses with the repeated choral sound. Lucas has more lines in that and they’re better than in “One” and give early energy to the song. 2) Ten’s BEAUTIFUL pre-chorus in “Monster” it is SO good. 3) Because the instrumentals are layered it’s a very “heavy” sound on the chorus and a very electronic sound in between it almost feels like you never get a break from all the sounds but both songs separate give you AMAZING balance that’s easier on the ear once you’ve heard them 4) IMO the outro with Lucas layered over the brassy heroic sounds in “One” is epic and should have been recorded in the original “Infinity” to add climax toward the end which musically matches the concept and the lyrics One” is so well blended and mixed it’s almost impossible to hear the layering unless you listen to “Monster” and “Infinity” separately. I want to blend a mix that changes the first section and outro for fun one day :)
I agree with all points, but especially the 4th one. The ending sounds so much more epic in One and I get so disappointed when I don't hear that same ending in Infinity because the rest is so gooood. If it had that ending, the song would be perfect imo.
I still get chills everytime Lucas does it part at the end of One. It just hits so hard!!! also thank you for not stopping or putting a copy pause on marks rap in jopping and Taeyongs rap in Tiger Inside.

To understand the story and concept behind "Jopping" better, if you haven't already, you should watch the behind the scenes/making of video called "SuperM: The Story of Jopping." It's an official video on SuperM's UA-cam channel. It's one of the best behind the scenes Kpop shooting videos I have watched and it really helps to explain the concept and story behind the song and the group. It's well worth the 30-plus minute video. Please check it out, even if you don't react to it. :D
If you follow EXO's concept and storyline even a little, you know that SM doesn't do anything halfway. When they come up with a concept for a group they go all in and even the most minute of details are used to tell that story. SuperM is specifically designed to try to help SM grab even more of the U.S. market. That is why their debut and all of their promotions were focused in the U.S. If you notice, SuperM starts with S and ends with M -- SM. The stadium/coliseum scenes were all filmed in Korea on a soundstage. But all the outdoor scenes were filmed in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. So the desert and that cityscape were in Dubai -- it was all filmed live on location. And all those vehicles you see in the MV are real vehicles. Kai rode in the helicopter and Ten and Lucas filmed on that tank, etc. The scenes where you saw them driving the vehicles were in Dubai. They were drove by stuntmen, but they were all real working vehicles. Just wait until you see them perform live at their debut concert at Capitol Records in California, you will be even more blown away.
I've seen SuperM live, and yes, they can do everything live that you see in the Jopping video. Taeyong killed us all in Tiger Inside! One is amazing--very superhero feels, which makes sense since SuperM partnered with Marvel for it. I hope you will check out more SuperM songs and other content in the future. They have some fun reality shows, too! I really miss them!

Fun fact: If you know some of SHINee's song history, you might notice several references to iconic SHINee moments within SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)". For instance, SHINee has a song called "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" which was created by combining two songs from SHINee's Sherlock album "Clue" and "Note" to create their title track "Sherlock." Just like how "One (Monster & Infinity)" takes two songs, "Monster" and "Infinity" from SuperM's album to create their title track "One" on their Super One album. (The beat switches up because it's a mashup of the two songs.) Also, as the SuperM members made reference to during their press conference for the release of their album, one of the parts of "One (Monster & Infinity)" choreography uses a finger movement that is very reminiscent of an iconic part of SHINee's "Lucifer" choreography. And yes, "One (Monster & Infinity)" is mostly in English, just like "100" and "Jopping" are also mostly English. SuperM is supposed to be geared toward the U.S. market so all their title tracks and most of their album will be in English. Hence their U.S. debut in 2019 and SM's partnership with Capitol Records and Marvel. Although there is so much happening in the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV that could be connected to EXO's storyline, right off the bat, what I see are references to Kai and his role in EXO's storyline with the numerous pyramid symbols you see throughout the MV. As part of EXO's storyline, Kai's symbol is a pyramid which represents his teleportation superpower. Also, how I interpret the scene with Kai hanging from the building, is that he is climbing up a building and as he is climbing, pieces of the building are breaking loose. Kind of like in a 007 or Mission Impossible movie, or maybe those are pieces of something that he is being attacked with from above or are falling from something being destroyed above him. You also see drones hovering below him, but I am not sure if that is what he is trying to avoid because they are controlled by the Red Force, or if that is part of SuperM's arsenal and they are helping him in his mission. (Which I now think are connected to Kai's solo "Film: Kai" and "Mmmh" MV storylines, as well as the drones in "Jopping" and WayV's "Moonwalk", etc.) The military uniforms are used to show that they have become soldiers now preparing to help EXO battle and defeat the Red Force. (In "Jopping" SuperM are in the desert in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, so I think the use of the tan uniforms are to help them blend into the desert environment.) It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup. The part in "One (Monster & Infinity)" where you see Lucas floating, reminds me of his part in WayV's MV for "Turn Back Time" where he is suspended in the air as the fallen angel. The fact that SM has now officially partnered with Marvel to fully bring to life SuperM's concept of being the Avengers of Kpop, and because their storyline is supposed to be about creating an Avengers-like group to help EXO battle the Red Force, only makes me more sure that SuperM's storyline and all the groups represented within SuperM are all connected to EXO's larger storyline. Also, at the end of the MV what you see are flashes of SuperM's pre-debut/ "Jopping" MV teasers and they were how the group was introduced and it showcased the members special powers and abilities and helped to establish the group's concept and storyline. Which was a lot like how EXO's storyline was started and has unfolded over the years. (You should really check out their teaser videos to understand why each of the members became part of the "Avengers.") The last clip with Taemin and that LG phone, besides being a product placement ad, it also is clearly the next clue or piece of SuperM's storyline. I'm pretty sure that scene is meant to set up something that will become important in the future to continue SuperM's story. Plus, we see, Kai and Taeyong using the same phone in the MV. When you see Kai and Taeyong using the phone it looks like they are looking at a map displayed on the screen. This could possibly be a map to help them navigate through the maze which it looks like they are in in "One (Monster & Infinity)". As part of EXO's storyline, the members of EXO are trapped in a maze by the Red Force and they are trying to find their way out. So, SuperM may be coming to help the other EXO members find their way out of the maze and to break the control the Red Force has over them, etc. Fun fact No. 2: Taemin's end teaser was even kept a secret from the rest of the SuperM members and they didn't even know it was part of the MV until they watched the finished MV during a special release party. And now, since the release of "One (Monster & Infinity)", we have discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is actually the logo/symbol for SM's new girl group aespa, which debuted Nov. 17, 2020. It now looks as though the end scene was meant to be a teaser for asspa's debut. As you know, aespa is a four member girl group whose concept revolves around the fact that their name means "Avatar experience" and each of the girls has an Avatar character, so they also are superhero-like beings. We will have to wait to see whether aespa joins forces with SuperM or if they end up (joining Red Velvet?) becoming part of the Red Force. (Does the Black Mamba from aespa's storyline turn aespa evil so they join Red Velvet in their pursuit to take down EXO/SuperM? Or does aespa defeat the Black Mamba and harness their powers to help EXO?) So on that note, I can't emphasize enough, how important it is to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's 3rd generation groups' MVs and storylines -- and now their 4th gen groups -- are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa, and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and even SHINee. And SM is even expanding the story to include its older 1st and 2nd gen groups, such as Super Junior, TVXQ and Kangta, etc.

This group features 7 of the best of the best when it comes to dance, vocals, rap and performance in Kpop. Using the still image at the end of the "Tiger Inside" MV, as you may know, from left: > Lucas is a rapper and visual of WayV/NCT-U, he is Chinese-Thai from Hong Kong; > Ten is the main dancer and a lead vocalist from WayV/NCT-U, he is Thai; > Baekhyun is a main vocalist of EXO and he is Korean; > Taemin is the main dancer and a lead/main vocalist from the legendary group SHINee, as well as one of the most popular solo artists, he is Korean and he has been in the industry for more than 13 years (Taemin and Kai are considered the top two BEST dancers in the entire industry); > Taeyong is a main rapper, main/lead dancer and the leader of NCT (he is part of NCT-127/NCT-U), he is Korean; > Kai is the main dancer, a lead vocalist, sub-rapper and center of EXO, he is Korean; > Mark is a main rapper of NCT (NCT-127, NCT-U and NCT-Dream) and he is Korean-Canadian. Taemin is only 28 years old, but he debuted 4-10 years before any of the other members of SuperM. Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 when he was 14 years old, so he is a super senior member of the group. In other words, as part of the hierarchy of respect, Taemin is the one everyone looks up to. Which, might be why Taemin was chosen to play such a major role within the group's storyline, and why we have seen him prominently featured in almost everything to do with SuperM. It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup. I think the concept of the group all stems from EXO's concept and storyline. As you know, the members of EXO are all supposed to be aliens from Planet Exo, and each of the members has a superpower that is specific to them. From day one, EXO's story has been that they were sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are thought to be caused by the Red Force. As a member of EXO, Baekhyun has the power to control light and Kai has the power of teleportation, so those powers are nothing new for them. However, the concept of superpowers is new for all the other SuperM member (You will see the other member's special powers and abilities if you check out all of their teaser videos which were originally released leading up to the release of "Jopping.") So I think because Kai and Baekhyun are part of the group, SuperM's storyline is tied to EXOs storyline. I think SuperM are supposed to be coming together to fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop them from corrupting and taking over the world, etc. And just like the Marvel Avengers members each have their own Superhero story, when they come together to form The Avengers they combine their story and concept and weave elements of each of the member's backstories into The Avengers storyline. I see SM Entertaiment doing the same thing with SuperM. Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking the "best" members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight. And although NCT and SHINee don't have a backstory that has anything to do with being Superheroes in the same way as EXO does, I find it interesting that, for example, NCT and WayV have songs called "Superhuman" and "Take Off" which both have sort of superhero type themes in their MVs, and one of Ten's solo songs was called "New Heroes". With what I know about SM, it wouldn't surprise me if this is something they have had in the works for a really long time and they probably have been creating ways to foreshadow things to come in SuperM that create connections between the members and their original groups. One thing SM has mastered since the creation of EXO, is how to tell a story and how to create a mystery that connects even the most minute of details together to build an epic adventure for fans. SuperM's storyline is already connected to EXO's storyline, and I think SM may be working on expanding the story to its other groups, in the same way that "The Avengers" connects all the individual superheroes' stories when they come together to form The Avengers. If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with their MV for "Moonwalk" and I think the story in their "Moonwalk" MV is a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think WayV's "Turn Back Time" MV is also part of that story.
To help explain, I think EXO, as members of SuperM, are working with the other "Avengers" members to try and stop X-EXO -- X-EXO are EXO's alter ego clones. If you pay attention to what Kai and Baekhyun are wearing in "Jopping," their outfits are very similar to the all black outfits they are wearing in EXO's "Obsession " MV -- Kai even wears the same parachute backpack in both MVs -- which seems to indicate then that the version of Kai and Baekhyun in SuperM are the EXO members who are the good guys. Because in "Obsession" the members in all black are supposed to be EXO and the members in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup are the X-EXO members who have been created by the Red Force. So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third and fourth generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen. And now I see connections being made with SHINee's most recent "Don't Call Me" and "Atlantis" MVs, as well as aespa's MVs and NCT-127's "Save" MV, and even SM's older groups, such as Super Junior's "House Party" MV., etc. It is becoming clear that SM is designing the SM Universe to include all of its groups and it is tying all of their storylines together. If you have seen SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV you might remember that we see the SHINee members at one point go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all posing in all black outfits. This looks very similar to the scene in SuperM's "Jopping" MV when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of "Jopping" as they are teleported or travel through the wormhole. So, it looks like maybe SHINee are preparing to eventually join in the fight as well. And, you may have noticed, there are instances in WayV's MVs, such as "Moonwalk," where it looks as though Ten and Lucas are there to gather the members to bring them into the battle, and in "Turn Back Time" it looks like the WayV members are all beat up like they have been in a fight, which means they could have been in a battle with the Red Force, etc. I also think that the "Tiger Inside" MV may be connected to EXO's "Wolf" MV. In "Wolf" we see that EXO are a wolf pack that is dressed in all white and they are inside an all white den or cave, just like the SuperM members who are dressed in all white and are in a white cave in "Tiger Inside." And in "Wolf" the choreography was designed to make the EXO members look like they are wolves or beasts, where in "Tiger Inside" the choreography was also designed to make them look like beasts or tigers.

Taemin was supposed to be the leader of SuperM, but he wanted no part of that. So, in true Taemin fashion, he declined the nomination during a VLIVE with the other members and nominated Baekhyun instead. Taemin became the center of the group, but you will rarely see him in the limelight. He has plenty of exposure with his solo career and in SHINee. You with notice he prefers to stay more in the background (either behind or off to the extreme sides) to give his younger hyungs more exposure. However, if you watch him carefully, just like in SHINee, Taemin is the one who travels the floor the most in SuperM, because of his ability to transition very quickly and seamlessly. This is how being the most experienced helps to quietly lead the group in technical mechanics by example. In an interview with other SuperM members, it was also revealed that Taemin regularly tweaks their choreo and improves upon them by adding in fine details that Taemin is well known for in both SHINee and his solo work. It's also important to remember that the SHINee members, who debuted 4 years prior to EXO and 6 years prior to NCT, mentored both groups. Lastly, the first time SM ever stitched two songs together to make one song was with SHINee's legendary 2012 "Sherlock". It was a marriage of their two songs, "Clue" + "Note". So uh. One is my fave song..s! One is great, I like Infinity alone more than Monster (Monster really relies on Infinity in One I think). One also like enables us to finally Lucas, SuperM doesn't enable Lucasing enough which is like the only downfall I find of SuperM. I also really love 100. I won't spoil anything. I just think, since I know you love TaeMark raplines, you'd really appreciate it. I think some of the best Mark raplines are in 100. I just want to side note that I'm so happy SuperM also brought together Kai and Taemin again.

SuperM is crazy, it’s literally the assemble of the best of the best. They debuted on the top of billboard, Super One spent also weekssss at number 1. They are insane, truly! I love your reactions and reading these comments about the mix of “One”. There’s 3 main things you really miss musically because of the blend like:
1) The amazing intro of Infinity, the vocals are so good (s/o Baek) and the back track is insanely full for the verses with the repeated choral sound. Lucas has more lines in that and they’re better than in “One” and give early energy to the song.
2) Ten’s BEAUTIFUL pre-chorus in “Monster” it is SO good.
3) Because the instrumentals are layered it’s a very “heavy” sound on the chorus and a very electronic sound in between it almost feels like you never get a break from all the sounds but both songs separate give you AMAZING balance that’s easier on the ear once you’ve heard them
4) IMO the outro with Lucas layered over the brassy heroic sounds in “One” is epic and should have been recorded in the original “Infinity” to add climax toward the end which musically matches the concept and the lyrics
One” is so well blended and mixed it’s almost impossible to hear the layering unless you listen to “Monster” and “Infinity” separately. I want to blend a mix that changes the first section and outro for fun one day :)
I agree with all points, but especially the 4th one. The ending sounds so much more epic in One and I get so disappointed when I don't hear that same ending in Infinity because the rest is so gooood. If it had that ending, the song would be perfect imo.

To understand the story and concept behind "Jopping" better, if you haven't already, you should watch the behind the scenes/making of video called "SuperM: The Story of Jopping." It's an official video on SuperM's UA-cam channel. It's one of the best behind the scenes Kpop shooting videos I have watched and it really helps to explain the concept and story behind the song and the group. It's well worth the 30-plus minute video. Please check it out, even if you don't react to it. :D
If you follow EXO's concept and storyline even a little, you know that SM doesn't do anything halfway. When they come up with a concept for a group they go all in and even the most minute of details are used to tell that story. SuperM is specifically designed to try to help SM grab even more of the U.S. market. That is why their debut and all of their promotions were focused in the U.S. If you notice, SuperM starts with S and ends with M -- SM.
The stadium/coliseum scenes were all filmed in Korea on a soundstage. But all the outdoor scenes were filmed in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. So the desert and that cityscape were in Dubai -- it was all filmed live on location. And all those vehicles you see in the MV are real vehicles. Kai rode in the helicopter and Ten and Lucas filmed on that tank, etc. The scenes where you saw them driving the vehicles were in Dubai. They were drove by stuntmen, but they were all real working vehicles.
Just wait until you see them perform live at their debut concert at Capitol Records in California, you will be even more blown away.

I've seen SuperM live, and yes, they can do everything live that you see in the Jopping video. Taeyong killed us all in Tiger Inside! One is amazing--very superhero feels, which makes sense since SuperM partnered with Marvel for it. I hope you will check out more SuperM songs and other content in the future. Fun fact: If you know some of SHINee's song history, you might notice several references to iconic SHINee moments within SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)". For instance, SHINee has a song called "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" which was created by combining two songs from SHINee's Sherlock album "Clue" and "Note" to create their title track "Sherlock." Just like how "One (Monster & Infinity)" takes two songs, "Monster" and "Infinity" from SuperM's album to create their title track "One" on their Super One album. (The beat switches up because it's a mashup of the two songs.) Also, as the SuperM members made reference to during their press conference for the release of their album, one of the parts of "One (Monster & Infinity)" choreography uses a finger movement that is very reminiscent of an iconic part of SHINee's "Lucifer" choreography.
And yes, "One (Monster & Infinity)" is mostly in English, just like "100" and "Jopping" are also mostly English. SuperM is supposed to be geared toward the U.S. market so all their title tracks and most of their album will be in English. Hence their U.S. debut in 2019 and SM's partnership with Capitol Records and Marvel.
Although there is so much happening in the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV that could be connected to EXO's storyline, right off the bat, what I see are references to Kai and his role in EXO's storyline with the numerous pyramid symbols you see throughout the MV. As part of EXO's storyline, Kai's symbol is a pyramid which represents his teleportation superpower.
Also, how I interpret the scene with Kai hanging from the building, is that he is climbing up a building and as he is climbing, pieces of the building are breaking loose. Kind of like in a 007 or Mission Impossible movie, or maybe those are pieces of something that he is being attacked with from above or are falling from something being destroyed above him. You also see drones hovering below him, but I am not sure if that is what he is trying to avoid because they are controlled by the Red Force, or if that is part of SuperM's arsenal and they are helping him in his mission. (Which I now think are connected to Kai's solo "Film: Kai" and "Mmmh" MV storylines, as well as the drones in "Jopping" and WayV's "Moonwalk", etc.)
The military uniforms are used to show that they have become soldiers now preparing to help EXO battle and defeat the Red Force. (In "Jopping" SuperM are in the desert in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, so I think the use of the tan uniforms are to help them blend into the desert environment.) It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup.
The part in "One (Monster & Infinity)" where you see Lucas floating, reminds me of his part in WayV's MV for "Turn Back Time" where he is suspended in the air as the fallen angel.
The fact that SM has now officially partnered with Marvel to fully bring to life SuperM's concept of being the Avengers of Kpop, and because their storyline is supposed to be about creating an Avengers-like group to help EXO battle the Red Force, only makes me more sure that SuperM's storyline and all the groups represented within SuperM are all connected to EXO's larger storyline.
Also, at the end of the MV what you see are flashes of SuperM's pre-debut/ "Jopping" MV teasers and they were how the group was introduced and it showcased the members special powers and abilities and helped to establish the group's concept and storyline. Which was a lot like how EXO's storyline was started and has unfolded over the years. (You should really check out their teaser videos to understand why each of the members became part of the "Avengers.")
The last clip with Taemin and that LG phone, besides being a product placement ad, it also is clearly the next clue or piece of SuperM's storyline. I'm pretty sure that scene is meant to set up something that will become important in the future to continue SuperM's story. Plus, we see, Kai and Taeyong using the same phone in the MV.
When you see Kai and Taeyong using the phone it looks like they are looking at a map displayed on the screen. This could possibly be a map to help them navigate through the maze which it looks like they are in in "One (Monster & Infinity)". As part of EXO's storyline, the members of EXO are trapped in a maze by the Red Force and they are trying to find their way out. So, SuperM may be coming to help the other EXO members find their way out of the maze and to break the control the Red Force has over them, etc.
Fun fact No. 2: Taemin's end teaser was even kept a secret from the rest of the SuperM members and they didn't even know it was part of the MV until they watched the finished MV during a special release party.
And now, since the release of "One (Monster & Infinity)", we have discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is actually the logo/symbol for SM's new girl group aespa, which debuted Nov. 17, 2020. It now looks as though the end scene was meant to be a teaser for asspa's debut. As you know, aespa is a four member girl group whose concept revolves around the fact that their name means "Avatar experience" and each of the girls has an Avatar character, so they also are superhero-like beings. We will have to wait to see whether aespa joins forces with SuperM or if they end up (joining Red Velvet?) becoming part of the Red Force.
(Does the Black Mamba from aespa's storyline turn aespa evil so they join Red Velvet in their pursuit to take down EXO/SuperM? Or does aespa defeat the Black Mamba and harness their powers to help EXO?)
So on that note, I can't emphasize enough, how important it is to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's 3rd generation groups' MVs and storylines -- and now their 4th gen groups -- are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa, and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and even SHINee. And SM is even expanding the story to include its older 1st and 2nd gen groups, such as Super Junior, TVXQ and Kangta, etc.

Just after their debut at Capitol Records in LA, they performed Jopping (and the b-side I Can't Stand The Rain) on Ellen, they were soooo good and looked incredibly hot! (albeit, they covered the live audio in post which is annoying) The interview is great too, 😄 it's where Mark called out Ellen for always asking idols about their relationship status.

SuperM was created by SM Entertainment in collaboration with Capitol Records in Los Angeles, California. This group features 7 of the best of the best when it comes to dance, vocals, rap and performance in Kpop.

> Ten is the main dancer and a lead vocalist from WayV/NCT-U, he is Thai;
> Baekhyun is a main vocalist of EXO and he is Korean;
> Taemin is the main dancer and a lead/main vocalist from the legendary group SHINee, as well as one of the most popular solo artists, he is Korean and he has been in the industry for more than 13 years (Taemin and Kai are considered the top two BEST dancers in the entire industry);
> Taeyong is a main rapper, main/lead dancer and the leader of NCT (he is part of NCT-127/NCT-U), he is Korean;

SuperM debuted in the U.S. in October 2019, so that is why all of their main track songs are mostly in English, because, as their debut song, "Jopping" was meant to by their foyer into the U.S. music market, and their first full length album Super One -- with their songs "100" and "One (Monster & Infinity) -- was supposed to continue that plan. "Tiger Inside" is a pre-release track from their Super One album.
SuperM are considered the Avengers of Kpop because the group is so multi-talented, with some of the most influential idols in the industry, representing multiple nationalities and Kpop generations, who are poised to take over the world.
Baekhyun has been chosen as the leader of SuperM. (Baekhyun is also the oldest member at 29 and Mark is the youngest at 22) However, Taemin is the one with the most seniority in the group. Taemin is only 28 years old, but he debuted 4-10 years before any of the other members of SuperM. Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 when he was 14 years old, so he is a super senior member of the group. In other words, as part of the hierarchy of respect, Taemin is the one everyone looks up to. Which, might be why Taemin was chosen to play such a major role within the group's storyline, and why we have seen him prominently featured in almost everything to do with SuperM.
It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup.
I think the concept of the group all stems from EXO's concept and storyline. As you know, the members of EXO are all supposed to be aliens from Planet Exo, and each of the members has a superpower that is specific to them. From day one, EXO's story has been that they were sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are thought to be caused by the Red Force. As a member of EXO, Baekhyun has the power to control light and Kai has the power of teleportation, so those powers are nothing new for them. However, the concept of superpowers is new for all the other SuperM member (You will see the other member's special powers and abilities if you check out all of their teaser videos which were originally released leading up to the release of "Jopping.") So I think because Kai and Baekhyun are part of the group, SuperM's storyline is tied to EXOs storyline. I think SuperM are supposed to be coming together to fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop them from corrupting and taking over the world, etc.
And just like the Marvel Avengers members each have their own Superhero story, when they come together to form The Avengers they combine their story and concept and weave elements of each of the member's backstories into The Avengers storyline. I see SM Entertaiment doing the same thing with SuperM.
Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking the "best" members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight.
And although NCT and SHINee don't have a backstory that has anything to do with being Superheroes in the same way as EXO does, I find it interesting that, for example, NCT and WayV have songs called "Superhuman" and "Take Off" which both have sort of superhero type themes in their MVs, and one of Ten's solo songs was called "New Heroes". With what I know about SM, it wouldn't surprise me if this is something they have had in the works for a really long time and they probably have been creating ways to foreshadow things to come in SuperM that create connections between the members and their original groups. One thing SM has mastered since the creation of EXO, is how to tell a story and how to create a mystery that connects even the most minute of details together to build an epic adventure for fans.
SuperM's storyline is already connected to EXO's storyline, and I think SM may be working on expanding the story to its other groups, in the same way that "The Avengers" connects all the individual superheroes' stories when they come together to form The Avengers.
If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with their MV for "Moonwalk" and I think the story in their "Moonwalk" MV is a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think WayV's "Turn Back Time" MV is also part of that story.
To help explain, I think EXO, as members of SuperM, are working with the other "Avengers" members to try and stop X-EXO -- X-EXO are EXO's alter ego clones. If you pay attention to what Kai and Baekhyun are wearing in "Jopping," their outfits are very similar to the all black outfits they are wearing in EXO's "Obsession " MV -- Kai even wears the same parachute backpack in both MVs -- which seems to indicate then that the version of Kai and Baekhyun in SuperM are the EXO members who are the good guys. Because in "Obsession" the members in all black are supposed to be EXO and the members in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup are the X-EXO members who have been created by the Red Force.
So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third and fourth generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen.
And now I see connections being made with SHINee's most recent "Don't Call Me" and "Atlantis" MVs, as well as aespa's MVs and NCT-127's "Save" MV, and even SM's older groups, such as Super Junior's "House Party" MV., etc. It is becoming clear that SM is designing the SM Universe to include all of its groups and it is tying all of their storylines together.
If you have seen SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV you might remember that we see the SHINee members at one point go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all posing in all black outfits. This looks very similar to the scene in SuperM's "Jopping" MV when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of "Jopping" as they are teleported or travel through the wormhole. So, it looks like maybe SHINee are preparing to eventually join in the fight as well.
And, you may have noticed, there are instances in WayV's MVs, such as "Moonwalk," where it looks as though Ten and Lucas are there to gather the members to bring them into the battle, and in "Turn Back Time" it looks like the WayV members are all beat up like they have been in a fight, which means they could have been in a battle with the Red Force, etc.
I also think that the "Tiger Inside" MV may be connected to EXO's "Wolf" MV. In "Wolf" we see that EXO are a wolf pack that is dressed in all white and they are inside an all white den or cave, just like the SuperM members who are dressed in all white and are in a white cave in "Tiger Inside." And in "Wolf" the choreography was designed to make the EXO members look like they are wolves or beasts, where in "Tiger Inside" the choreography was also designed to make them look like beasts or tigers.
People always hate on every single new group, I've never understood it at all, but its so cool to combine members from different groups, I'd love if other companies did that too

Taemin was supposed to be the leader of SuperM, but he wanted no part of that. So, in true Taemin fashion, he declined the nomination during a VLIVE with the other members and nominated Baekhyun instead. Taemin became the center of the group, but you will rarely see him in the limelight. He has plenty of exposure with his solo career and in SHINee. You with notice he prefers to stay more in the background (either behind or off to the extreme sides) to give his younger hyungs more exposure. However, if you watch him carefully, just like in SHINee, Taemin is the one who travels the floor the most in SuperM, because of his ability to transition very quickly and seamlessly. This is how being the most experienced helps to quietly lead the group in technical mechanics by example.
In an interview with other SuperM members, it was also revealed that Taemin regularly tweaks their choreo and improves upon them by adding in fine details that Taemin is well known for in both SHINee and his solo work. It's also important to remember that the SHINee members, who debuted 4 years prior to EXO and 6 years prior to NCT, mentored both groups.

So uh. One is my fave song..s! One is great, I like Infinity alone more than Monster (Monster really relies on Infinity in One I think). One also like enables us to finally Lucas, SuperM doesn't enable Lucasing enough which is like the only downfall I find of SuperM.
