Don’t worry!! All feelings are valid, no matter what. Gender dysphoria affects everyone differently, and it’s completely normal to have an experience other than the ‘typical trans experience’. No matter what happens, you are a wonderful human being and you deserve love and support from everyone.

I’m trans FtM and I always find it funny if someone gets mad when they’re attracted to a trans person. What are they so scared of? Being attracted to a trans person does not make you gay, you don’t have to have intercourse with them. Being gay is an unreasonable fear anyway. Your world will not crumble by a man kissing another man.
Don’t get me wrong, it is okay to have preferences, but trans people do not care about you specifically. Just because you find a trans person attractive does not mean your feelings will be reciprocated. A trans person does not live to deceive people, they live for their own happiness. If you don’t want to respect someone risking everything for their own happiness, so be it.

As a Dutch person as soon as I heard the song was based on an experience in Amsterdam I figured it happened in "de wallen" aka the sex-worker district there. The lights do indeed indicate if the workers are trans or not, though I would have to google it to know which colours mean exactly what.
It could have been that these 3 men stumbled into there on accident, but usually people who end up there go looking for it either because they wanna play tourist or because they want to get involved with the workers.
So yeah, these workers were trying to get their money, and it seems that these 3 guys didn't know but then also were kinda disrespectful in not even wanting to know/learn where they were and want it meant

I’m basically getting hatecrimed and bullied at work for existing as a trans nonbinary person and when I stood up for myself it only got worse, I’ve been working there for not even 3 weeks and I think about quitting everyday but also i can’t leave my other trans friend there bcs I mean he still lives with his transphobic parents and I don’t so I mean I don’t have it that bad maybe I should just go back into the closet idk, I do have my first testo shot today but idk if it maybe will only get worse at work
Okay, first of all, that's absolutely awful and you don't deserve such treatment AT ALL, whoever disrespects you for being who you are is a plain a$$hole and should get fired. Such behavior is not acceptable anywhere in the slightest and DEFINITELY not in the workplace. I'm genuinely really sorry this is happening to you. I would recommend talking to your friend about this. Ideally, both of you quit the job since this is messed up as heck. However I understand things may not be this simple. Is your friend able to quit the job, and if the answer is no, are his parents the only thing stopping him? Because if so then it might be worth not telling the parents the reason why he's leaving the job is because he's trans and they're being transphobic towards you two, and simply say it's for a different reason if that's possible. Communication is key here. I would really talk to him about this (however you might've already done this). Perhaps none of what I just wrote is helpful at all but unfortunately this is all the advice I can give you. All I can say is it is your right as a human being to be respected for who you are and you deserve so much better than all of this. I wish you best of luck with everything ✊🫂

It’s interesting to me that the phrase “sex assigned at birth” has become so popular. Your sex wasn’t assigned at birth. Your sex was determined at fertilization and *documented* at birth, but you have been a male or female since you were conceived, and that sex never changes.
that phrase has been co opted from the intersex community, which describes their struggles with someone else deciding their percieved sex and often operating on newborns and small children so they can fit in more. In intersex context, it makes sense

In addition to internalized homophobia, it could also be that some people have a narrowminded view of relationships as a means to an end of having children and raising a family. I've heard plenty of transphobes obsess over this, of how trans people will never have offspring the way nature intended and therefore it's wrong. I get this a lot as an aroace trans person myself. My uncle gave me one of his childhood records once, I put it on and the first song was just transphobia (I dont think he had listened to it since the 90s possibly even earlier) and I had to listen to it twice and then look up the lyrycs bcs I was in SHOCK.
