Wanted to make a a wrap around spray bar for the hopper. You see how I ended up and the changes I make along the way. I also show the Micro cell mat to see how well it works. As you see I first run the mini cell mat.

    Good info.

Thanks mate. It something I haven't used much. What I would change is larger pipe and not reduce the pipe on the wrap around at the T and do it at the end. With the changes I made to the punch plate and now using 2 x 1100gph pump.

I didn’t read all the comments below, but it’s important to scrub the air bubbles out on that micro mat before running. You can see that roughly half the cells didn’t capture because the air bubbles were there. Nice video though! I like the wrap around idea for the spray bar

Would make a few changes. 1 is not to have reduced the pipe at the T. Waited until the out let. The micro cell is a tricky mat , because even when you do scrub the cells the bubbles come back a bit. Due to the water flow. Need to work out a way to raise the water , without increasing the flow.

Cool vid buddy 👍. Your wee highbanker looks awesome with that micro installed.

I have run that mat in a river sluice before. I can take the hopper off as the bottom is a clean up sluice. Was more to show the spray bar. But that mat worked better than expected.

@@MurrayRiversGoldAdventures The spray bar is awesome mate. Yeah it's a cracking wee mat. I had them custom made for Highland mining in the 6"x16" size and think it's really going to take off. Not only is it a great concentrates mat it can be swapped with the mini mat at any given time as they are the same size as each other.

good job mate i used a pump like that and only had one outlet that size was ok but had it pointing straight in the middle facing that way was good put your hand on one side block iot off see how much you get through it that yay to test your pressure looks better now

I went and got some more bits to make the outlets smaller. Wanted the cross to make the swirl in the header box.

I did the same idea for mine but I run it back towards the hopper it used much less pipe and I used all 20mm pipe but I’ll definitely be getting some of those clips .

Have made a different spray bar now as I'm going to run 2 x 1100 GPH pumps. Hopefully will put a video up by the end of the week.

Good video. Thanks for the walk through. Your setup looks good
Just remember your pressure loss in your sprayer is related to conduit diameter and fitting losses so keep your conduit large until you get to your discharge nozzle and limit your bends. A smooth hose in place of the corrugated one might also improve your flow

Was emptying out a pool and thought I'd give it a try. When I get to the creek, I'll give it a better run.

Nice setup mate. I love the goldrat sluices.
Just wish nsw would reinstate the highbankers.
I honestly think highbankers cause less damage than what river sluices with the silt they generate. Where highbankers overflow seeps back into the ground before it reaches the water which minimizes the silt.
Have a good one mate. Cheers 🍺🍺🇦🇺

This is what happens when people make decisions that are looking from the out side without actually seeing the difference.

I don't know if this get around the rule. Google hand bigle pump. I can't find the video on UA-cam, but it show them using it on a highbanker. It has a long handle and he pumps it with one hand and feeds with other.

@@MurrayRiversGoldAdventures cheers mate. Yeah nsw laws are way too strict IMHO. Can still legally use highbankers in nsw if your manually feeding the water either bucketing or manual hand pump.
I just watched that video and I've gotta say that's a bloody great idea with the handcrank water pump he uses.
I've wondered if you can fabricate a rudimentary water pump so that it's powered by a set of bushbike pedals and chain so one can work the water and another one feeds the dirt.
      Have a great weekend mate.
      Cheers🍺🍺

Just to let you know , I'm off to trentham tomorrow with 40 litres of water to run my recirculating sluice.
Am expecting to get good gold this time because I can actually move the rocks that I could not see previously when they were underwater.
been meaning to get out there for 8 weeks now.

I'm out there when the panning competition is on. Going to try a new spot , same creek. Then off to a new area, been given a hot tip. Don't think there's water, but will use metal detector. To help with the search.

What you might consider is replacing the 45 degree elbows with 90 degree bends and increase the length of the joining pieces that join the 2 elbows by 2 inches or so - that would have your 2 streams both spraying straight up into the hopper instead of crisscrossing - and if you ever watched Ghostbusters , you must never crisscross the beams otherwise the world will end as we know it.

    • @MurrayRiversGoldAdventures
      @MurrayRiversGoldAdventures  4 роки тому

Mohammed Novalija Still a bit of messing around to do , I'll see if it still swirls with 90 degrees bends.

The proof of a trap is not what gets caught , it's in what didn't get caught.
Would like to have seen you pan off the tailings after each run.

    • @MurrayRiversGoldAdventures
      @MurrayRiversGoldAdventures  4 роки тому

Mohammed Novalija I will have to build a better set up for the water and something to catch the tailing wanted to use the pan but it didn't work. I'll bring the bucket at a meet up you can try and pan them. Need to screen them down and run in a blue bowl. The only scene I used was the punch plate.

Heaps better when you reduced the nozzles mate.. should break up clay better than spray bars now too

Still need to run some dirt though it to see how it goes. I thought while I had it set up I'd run the micro mat.
