- Made my way out to a dry creek bed which I've seen nuggets being pulled out with the gpx 4500 so I decided to removed all overburden and gravels and only scrape the bedrock to make sure the materials I was collecting as samples would be of the best gold in the area I also found a good crevice to dig up next time! Bit of a tip with the 'over burden' in shallow based creeks.
See the flood derbies are way higher than the soil and the soil is only a few feet deep. Good chance that's decent pay with several layers of flood gold.
Even if you can't work it, stock like it up high and test it.

Cheers Glenno it's a bad area for fallen trees at the moment especially back on my local creek the rangers did a burn off and there is trees down everywhere! I hate the wind

Thanks Mark yeah water is definitely still a problem as mainly all of our creeks only flow when it rains! Should be some better puddles in the next few days. Plenty of water on the lower stretches of boggy creek along Mia Mia road 😉
