@@OkIPullUp2915 Id've overthrown Palps too. Guys a total bitch. Besides, let us not forget the nature of the Sith. You're pretty much doing it wrong if your not attempting to slay your master.

@@brandonsmith7827 yes, but add in the fact that unlike Maul, Vader was trained as a Jedi. In essence of who had the 'purer' education, you have to go with Maul.

The fact that Maul isn’t used that much is mind blowing he is probably one of the top three fan favorites and has a great backstory and character ark don’t get me wrong he is in clone wars and rebels but we need some more live action maul performed by Ray voiced by Sam
I'd say he has plenty of screen time with all the animated shows he been appearing in and even shows up in the han solo movie as cameo, also he defintly won't be in obi-wan series as he doesn't even know if obi-wan is alive after the clone wars you could have him hiding away from the empire as a story tho, that would be pretty interisting
Can blame the Disney takeover for that. Was originally gonna be the main baddy in the George Lucas sequels and had a game in development that got axed.
1) This audiocomic is AWESOME! 2) In (Plagueis +) Palpatine's "Grand Plan" Maul was more of a Sith assassin and was never going to be a true Sith Lord with an apprentice and all that. Sidious called him a "Sith Lord" , but that was to make Maul think he was part of the ascension- He was not part of the true Bane Lineage - Maul was truly deadly from all of that combat training, especially WITHOUT a lightsaber, and super cool! But when you've read "Darth Plagueis" by James Luceno and Karpyshyn's incredible Darth Bane trilogy, AND Stover's "The Tenebrous Way" then you know he wasn't really part of the plan. He was crucial in moving the Grand Plan forward, but Sidious NEVER thought of him actually taking over and running things the way the rest of the Sith Lords of the past 1,000 yrs did.

Palpatine was a great teacher holy shit; like youd think hed just tell him wait and then kill him when he fails, instead he uses that to grow a natural understanidng and value of patience. Hes ok with the disobedience, even or especially because he used a threat to spur it. He uses a show of authority to find the quality of student he has, Maul believed he failed, but to palpatine he passed with flying colors, because maul was right, and by putting him in opportunities hands- you see how well he takes advantage of opportunities. Control the scenerio throug nudges and information. I figured it was a setup when maul said the line `` if my master was here hed prolly be amused.`` thats because you were meant to struggle over patience. He simply put you in a natural sandbox with that restriction over your head, if you failed, you would just died and palpatine could cover it up, if you succeed then you got both a lesson and a reward kill. which will create a loyal bond since youa re constantly tested And reminded to focus on the goal. another lesson youll need if you are to be a proper sith.
I keep forgetting that Disney changed the way the sith died. Instead of Bane slipping the notes on how to use the thought bomb to Khan and the brotherhood of darkness which killed all the sith with many jedi, Disney decided to go with the old good guys beat bad guys. Dull and lame Other than that this was pretty good
"T H O T B O M B" Tell me again that the Bane trilogy was a masterpiece. Just kidding, but seriously, that was a stupid plot device. Bane destroying the Brotherhood was good, but it didn't make sense that they would trust a known enemy of the Brotherhood to lead them through ancient Sith magic.
@@theeternalone6432 Khan was growing more and more desperate for victory, not to mention unstable. He'd take anything at that point, especially since it was getting harder to control the others. Also, khan didn't know it was bane who left the note there. And since his mental stability was questionable, and didn't know the full dangers of the bomb (because he and the others believed ancient teachings weren't good enough), he was all the more willing to use it
As a fan of the dark side I loved this. I never have liked that sissy Luke and his hypocrite forebears in the Jedi. At least you know where you stand with the Sith. Long live the Darkness.
I dunno, to me, Maul’s more of the archetypal Sith - at least as to how I’d like them to be. Maul seems to embody aggressive and warrior aspects, and filled and dueled by rage as opposed to running from some internal trauma and self loathing. It’s no doubt because I ‘know’ Vader better because his backstory has been revealed. I have that familiarity that removes some of Vader’s mystique and terror I had when seeing him for the first time watching him walk the deck of the Tantive IV (1977 movie). Now he seems more of a drama queen. Maul reminds me more of Revan - a warrior driven by his own will personality traits, as opposed to running from an external influence (Anakin’s loss of love). Maybe the reality is that Vader really IS the superior Sith, and I just find his baggage annoying and Maul’s behavior more appealing. I suppose if I take a step back, it’s easier to see Vader as an emperor and Maul as a chained attack dog.
This makes no sense. He rescues the Jedi saying he won't allow a Jedi to be enslaved (but he definitely wouldn't have anything against enslaving a Jedi) and then he just kills her! He might as well have just left her to her fate and then she may have been of some use to the Sith.
