- This powerful Mitsubishi ASXRVR is the perfect car for anyone who wants to dominate the road.
The new Mitsubishi ASXRVR was first shown in 2007 as a concept vehicle known as the CX. It is now emerging as a development from the Outlander, which is also the foundation for the sophisticated Lancer Evolution X. The RVR is 345 millimeters shorter than the Outlander, and it weighs 200 kilograms less; nonetheless, it has an eerily similar appearance due to the fact that it shares the most recent 'brand face' for Mitsubishi. But the newcomer is more than meets the eye in terms of their overall appeal.
“We are sure that the RVR is the right vehicle for the right time,” says project manager Hiroshi Fujii, who was also the chief engineer of the past two Lancer Evolutions. This vehicle is the ideal combination of the high-level chassis stability of the Evo and the practicality and comfort of the Outlander, but in a size that is more appropriate for a small vehicle.
Inside, Mitsubishi ASXRVR has upgraded the trim levels with high-quality plastics and introduced a motorized leather seat option, a Rockford Fosgate audio system, and a big panoramic glass roof. Additionally, a Rockford Fosgate audio system is now standard. However, it is still unknown at this time whether or not it will satisfy the international roll-over crash requirements.
The steering wheel has a tilt-and-telescope adjustment, and while the seats are supportive and comfy, there is insufficient headroom for passengers above 5 feet tall (180 centimeters). It gets no less than seven cupholders, five for front-seat occupants.
The newly installed 'super-wide' HID headlight coverage on the RVR is a source of particular satisfaction for the vehicle's engineering staff since it more than doubles the amount of road that is illuminated by the lights on both sides. Each model comes standard with hill-start aid, stability control, anti-skid brakes, and a brake energy regenerating system. This directs the energy that is produced during slowing and braking to be stored in the battery so that it may be used by the idle-stop system.
The new Mitsubishi ASXRVR crossover utilizes the Outlander's electronically-controlled, three-mode, four-wheel drive system. This technology is inherited from the Outlander. It provides drivers with the option to drive in either the front, all, or locked mode. Internal safety testing lead to a five-star NCAP result, and the vehicle comes standard with seven airbags, one of which is designed to protect the driver's knees.
The gasoline engines that power Australian automobiles will have a displacement of 2.0 liters and four cylinders, and they will either have a five-speed manual or a CVT transmission. But no electricity or emissions numbers are available yet. In spite of this, the statistics for CO2 emissions should be in the region of 139 to 145 grams per kilometer if they are based on European engine values. Power and torque data are expected to be disclosed closer to the middle of the year.
According to the observations of a Mitsubishi ASXRVR engineer, the model with the Australian-specification 2.0-liter engine and five-speed manual transmission will be the one to opt for since it will provide a higher level of driving satisfaction. The new RVR utilizes the same base as the existing Outlander as well as the five-speed gearbox from the Lancer; however, these components have been updated to accommodate the new diesel engine and the vehicle's edgy, combative road presence.
The five-seater RVR is not a bullet, as it takes approximately nine seconds to reach 100 kilometers per hour from a standstill. However, it does its job efficiently thanks to a CVT with paddle-shift fitted 6-speed sports mode that is relatively high geared and reads 2100 revolutions in sixth while traveling at 100 kilometers per hour.

The great all-wheel-drive system along with the available driver assistance features, enough interior space, strong interior build quality, and an extended warranty all combine to create a superb package in comparison to other vehicles in the sector.
Nice review. Thank you 👍
Nice sharp and dynamic front, rear so, so. Interior is simple Mitsubishi, but can live with that. What counts the most is portion of usability and price and in this competition is this car winner. Its car for everybody who looks for reliable, low service cost car with decent consumption for good money.
Very cheap but sturdy, pretty good value and made in Japan
thank you for the very detailed video.
Gorgeous!!
Nice & nice. Color too.
Do all the models come with push to start for the 2022 models
Hermosa
Look great. How does the interior compare to the previous model?
Nicer leather, bigger screen with new silver dials now with 8inch facia.
It is the EXACT SAME except for new infotainment and silver dials. Pathetic refresh.
@@sleeksilver can tell you now I love parking next to a 2019 model
Why doesn’t the American version get glass roof?
Interior looks like the outlander
Türkiye’ye gelir mi? Ona göre asx imi satacağım
Just try to get the orange ASX Exceed in Orange in Australia I had to settle for red
Is it hard to get a top trim orange in Australia? I heard these sell like crazy in Australia. I love my Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Touring top trim. We had a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT (RVR/ASX)
Red is my favourite..
What country? Какая страна? How much?
Engine capacity?
It's in the description below 2.4L or 2360cc
I was one of the first to own the 2020 Mitsubishi Exceed and I love my new car I bought the red one
Is it a smooth and qiiet ride....are the seats comfortable ?
It’s called the dynamic shield lol
Funny but dealers in my country do not offer such seats even in top version. Interior for me looked not so nice so I did not buy it.
The servicing cost for the ASX is a ripoff. It is 40% more than it's rivals.Potential ASX buyers beware.
They need to change inside color don't like gray so going crv
No CD player? Thats a dealbreaker!!
Yeah well unfortunately some cars are lucky to get single stack one now everyone uses Spotify or streams music, I understand your frustration because I like the theater of CD's the artwork that goes into it.
You would think when you buy a new car they would give you some free cups that are designed to go in their cup holders, you spend all that money and it would just make a nice little finishing touch
