    "When I'm wrong, that means I'm about to learn something new which I will never forget." Great words.

    • @TheMajinTrunks
      @TheMajinTrunks 9 місяців тому

      like most grifters, they have good words. But they're a fake and fraud. And like in any grifter... you want to see his lying? Compare his actions to his words.
      I won't go into the nitty gritty, but .... i'll use parts of this interview as an example.
      He says your nice words. ""When I'm wrong, that means I'm about to learn something new which I will never forget.""
      He also says... he almost turned heel in Cena vs Rock 1.
      Well... that's a lie. because at sumerslam 2010, a whole 2 years before rock / cena 1, Cena refused REFUSED to put over the nexus, in one of the most infomous stupid endings. It burried the nexus beyond redemption. Cena has admited it was part of his call and that he was wrong.
      He didn't learn anything, despite PUBLICLY admiting he was wrong. IN the Cena Rock feud , 2 years later, He continued to do his thing. unchanged.
      Thus. His ""When I'm wrong, that means I'm about to learn something new which I will never forget."" is a flat out lie. Like Jordan Belfort or Grant Cardone. Like Andrew Tate. These people find a market. And MILK iT DRY. Twisting and swirling their words, to ensure they always SAY what's right for that market, despite their actions.... being garbage.
      Why? because Cena is a sociopath. He's a cunt who only cares about lining his pockets. He developed a persona that sells merch to kids, and NEVER CHANGED IT. Because to him it didn't matter of the product he delivered was good or bad. he sold merch. It didn't matter than in the course of his career the very same kids he initially made happy turned on him for never changing..... he had a brand new generation of todlers to appease.
      Even hogan did a heel turn.
      Cena? Never. He'll always say the right thing to achieve his goal. He'll lie to your face. He stood in the middle of a wrestling ring and turned his ankle making fun of fans who just begged him to turn heel. Can you imagine? All pretence of storyline dropped, and fans just begging him to deliver something new, something different... and his message was "Fuck you i sell t-shirts to kids and use sick kids to promote my image to the casual viewer".
      Fuck cena.

    Cena was heel during his "Thuganomics" rapper days. The problem is that, just like the Rock, it was a ton of people who just like the characters of Cena and the Rock in general, it didn't matter if they were face or heel, but it made their life better as a face, just like the Warrior. Warrior was never a heel.

    • @MichaelJayification
      @MichaelJayification 10 місяців тому +3

      @@TheTonyF True, but they didn't think that deep. 🤷🏽‍♂️ When Rock was on his prime, I loved his persona and character overall, I actually never knew that he was either a heel or face, until his first return to the WWE (the time when he wore his catchphrases on his shirts, 2010's). When he was in it, before pursuing a movie career, I honestly was confused about his storylines or never seen it altogether, because there was points in time when I didn't have cable growing up. When he showed up on SmackDown, he was obviously portrayed as a face and how he moved to leave for Hollywood and come back to WWE was "mostly justified" except for the fans and wrestlers who said it was BS. Enter: John Cena's storyline about criticizing Rock about how Rock wasn't a mainstay and Cena fought to stay relevant and good, etc.

  • @DarkHeart515
    @DarkHeart515 10 місяців тому +2

    This is why his fucking career was garbage 2008-2017, because we don't love no fucking long term pay off especially when there was never a pay off in the first place! It was more of you doing what you want, while we the fans scream wtf we really wanted. This is why Rock is different. I actually wanted Rock vs Roman, because this would have been the first WM Rock ever won the WWE title in a main event of WM, and that story of who is the real tribal chief has been set for years. Instead Rock actually listened to the other fans, and gave them Cody's storyline with Roman again. Rock has been selfless by putting people over since his early days. The man just keeps giving, and he gives even more by still being so damn entertaining while trying to be hated. They chant Rocky sucks when he's gone, but when he's in that Ring it's a different story lol. True people's champ

      @@smokegames1179 My case in point. He had two gimmicks and both had very limited range. Thuganomics was simply "let's hear what he will rap this week", but the character had no longevity, it had no vested interest. It was one of those "cool" new things that is no longer interesting after a year. And the hustle gimmick was great for the kids and the PG era but it was the same thing for 10+ years. If it hadn't been for Austin, Rock, Brock and Angle leaving the WWE all within the span of 3 years, Cena would never have gotten as high and for as long as he did.

    • @raidenskywalker3702
      @raidenskywalker3702 10 місяців тому +3

      @@BlagoPAustin was never going to be there long term because of his injuries. Rock wanted to do Hollywood, Brock wouldn't had been long term face of company because he's not PR guy that likes to do interviews and such especially when Benoit stuff ends up happening, and Cena surpass Angle when he was there and Angle at the time was addicted to painkillers aka Perc Angle. Cena showed on the mic that he can destroy Dwayne. So once again you make no valid arguments.

The people like Cody who had to earn it always get “just wait a little longer”. You can only do “just a little longer” for so long before people stop believing it’s going to happen.

    I agree with what he says here, but I think the thing with Cody is that you're gonna see people stop believing in him if he loses to Roman again at Mania. The thing with good storylines is to always be ahead of the curve with people getting tired of what you're doing. That's not to say there's NO scenario in which him losing again makes for a good storyline development, but I really struggle to think of what that development would be that wouldn't leave the character irreparably damaged.

Cody fans had to wait 1 entire year for this rematch and you're saying their patience hasn't been long enough? You want to extend it to 41? 2 years is what you call patience? What if The Rock wanted a rematch at 41, would you have said wrestling fans needed even more patience like WM 42? 3 years would be enough patience for you now?!
