I know these videos may not be the most watched but I really like it. Learning how to do these small things help huge. Ears, eyes, hands, feet and such can complete the work and make it all better.
I LOVE this tutorial. I have been wanting to make fairies lately and ears are kinda part of the deal lol. This gives me such a clear place to start and on the more simple ones it would look perfect. I like how you included the part about pushing the ear up and adding more clay. It really gives us a chance to feel like we can make our own piece and it doesn't have to be exactly like yours. Honestly this is one of the most helpful videos for clay out there. I've watched hundreds and I have been sculpting for about 3 years now. Great job and I hope to see more great videos from you!
You really know how to explain stuff for beginners. I am having the most difficult time making faces, ears, nose. And this helped me with the ears. It’s so realistic! Thank you!
Awesome and very educational video. Would definitely recommend these tutorials to anyone who needs to know the basics of sculpting. Absolutely brilliant.
I just discovered your videos this evening. I have struggled with the face. You make the ears look so easy to do. I think I can actually do it. You do not complicate the procedure at all. Wow, Kat Lees
Great tutorial. Love all your work, as an amateur sculptor I'd love to see more tutorials from you.... Hands, etc. Love your work, love the channel & content 👍
Hi yes!thank you very much for the tips! and about baking please, when you do the final bake, do you care about the previous pre-bake times or not? do you substract the previous 5 or 10 min to the final bake? hope you understand me... i'm french... Thank you :) and nice work!
Love the 👂 I may use ur video to make my 👂s. The ear isn't too hard but I can always use any advice, suggestions, & videos, like this video. It's a perfect example of how to & very detailed & I like that you are honest with how you do things & that means a lot!! Thank you, Ace of Clay keep up the awesome work..
Do you sculpt elf ears the same way but with extra clay at the top? Just curious since I do allot of elves, wizards, faeries, gnomes etc. This tutorial would be super helpful for baby dolls! Thanks 😊👍
I believe fairy ears can be sculpted anyways you want as they are fantasy,so your imagination is all that's needed, but yes typically most make ears just like ours with a nice long point at the top at a angle towards the back of the head..or you can get creative and design something a bit different :)
I think that would only really be useful if you're consistently making the same kind of figurines (same size, same features, etc). If you're doing that though, I think it might be more useful for you if you make some master body parts and then make a mold out of them so that you just press the clay into the mold and bake.
@AceofClay I'm new 2 ur channel & new 2 sculpting with polymer clay. Your videos are so helpful & you're very good @ sculpting. *My question is, can u please 🙏 help me learn & figure out what I'm doing wrong, trying get a closed eye for my newborn doll sculpt. If you can make a video of it, I know a lot of people have the same trouble with the eyes. Thanks in advance & for your videos!! I'm working on a ooak (preferably a newborn if not a 3 month old at the biggest) baby sculpt. If I can make it realistic enough I want to make a silicone and vinyl out of my work.
@@aceofclay I just watched the link you shared below for the baking question and found your answer there. That is a wonderful tutorial, too! Thank you so much!
I've seen few tutorials as helpful as yours. You don't assume we're already experts, but you don't pretend like we've never picked up a pencil before either. I've had a lot of condescending art teachers.
As you say, it's easy when you know how to do it... But to make a tutorial that make the viewer feel that it really is easy, that's hard! And I don't think you was that awkward, just low key and straight to the point.
Thank you for being straight forward and honest in your videos. I’m just starting to learn and you’ve been very helpful. Thanks so much! :)
Glad to hear that! Gotta keep it 💯
Do more like these. Nose, mouth, eyes, head… love it! Thank you for sharing!
Wow. You made it look so easy. 👍🏼👍🏼

Thank you, !!!! ears are so annoying to make, especially when trying to do 12 scale figures, but this demo made so much sense, thank you !
Beautifully. super video, thank you. Can you advise me what matter I can use for this creation? Thank you. Have beautiful days. Martina
An ear is basically tic-tac! Nice!
Hey Ace of Clay is it a good idea to pre make a bunch of ears noses pre bake them and use them when ever you need them?
I think that would only really be useful if you're consistently making the same kind of figurines (same size, same features, etc). If you're doing that though, I think it might be more useful for you if you make some master body parts and then make a mold out of them so that you just press the clay into the mold and bake.
I think it would be kinda hard to stick the pre baked clay on the sculpt
Hello can I suggest fir your next video.
Omg thank you so much for this tutorial. I hated doing ears before. I hope you might have one for hands and feet later. Or any tips on elf ears🧝♀️😁

Dank je voor de goede uitleg
Thank you for this tutorial. Ears are weird. Why do you paint it with the clay softener?
I’m glad you liked it! I brush pretty much everything with clay softener to smooth the surface and remove fingerprints.
