@@Code3Indiana you can catch 255 in the morning going west and the 256 going east tomorrow through Saturday and then only 255 on Sunday this next weekend.

Nice video, very informative! I have a relative living in Lafayette who used to drive for NS. He worked mainly out of Peru. Is that red building the NS "facility" in Peru? Doesn't seem to be much there besides the tracks! Good job catching the signal changing. But what does the top light indicate? It changed to red at the same time.

Hello and good evening! So it looks like the 255 is Westbound and the 256 heads back East from your location. I would like to catch these one last time. Is the 255 usually through Peru anytime between 8:00 and 8:30? Does the 256 require waiting later in the evening? Any help you can provide is much appreciated! Unfortunately in industry, uniqueness = non standard which means more costly to maintain. Railway history is full of one off or limited run technologies which for various reasons never caught on or were superceded by better or more cost effective ones. Such is the cycle of innovation.
