@@andyh8239 I was on the lunch program. I grew up healthy and was able to learn because I had enough nutrition. I became a successful person because, after years of hard work and paying taxes doing construction and landscaping, I was able to use what I learned in school, including Science and Geology, to be able to identify rough gemstones that I dug up digging ditches. I'll be making my first Million in less than a year, so, you're wrong. What have you done?

I went to a school in a VERY wealthy district, the school officials knew not everybody could always afford a school lunch so they provided for the less affluent children. Usually, we were the children of the domestic staff, the gardeners and the workers at the various businesses in town. Decades later, one day when I was doing some gardening alone, I ran across some very vicious characters in the process of abducting two young women in a wealthy neighborhood. I almost lost my life, but I fought-off the attackers and held them at bay until the Police arrived. I was able to become a healthy, law-abiding citizen with a good attitude because I was treated very well, and fed, in the same affluent town where I ended up working. I AM an example of what good can come of taking care of less fortunate children, -an equatable society where people CARE about one another.

When I was a kid, I didn't want to be a burden on my parents and ask for lunch money. So, I just hid in the bathroom every day during lunch. I'm a teacher now. It's encouraging to see a retired teacher potentially becoming the vice president.

This is what happens when people with real ambition towards making life for people around them get in the position to do so.

I remember in elementary school, my mom tried her best to fund my school lunch account... often she couldn't sometimes and I remember having a negative balance and the lunch lady taking the food away.

You should note on your W-2 (assuming you work) that you want to donate more of your income to feeding wealthy children, as feeding only the ones in need was status quo and not helping Walz with voters.
@@andyh8239 the amount of taxes you pay won't change, that is if you actually do work and don't just spend all your time in mommy's basement. Revenue from taxes will most likely divert spending from other areas into more important areas such as this.

My last year in high school was in the state of Georgia, this was the last year they had the free school lunch program Nationwide, I naively thought that it would continue after that year because everyone benefited, every student in that school was able to get lunch and there were plenty of students that I knew would not have been able to get lunch consistently without it, I am fortunate enough to have a family that was able to not only just consistently afford it anyway but also made school lunch for my siblings after that policy expired, there are countless other students who are not that lucky.
This is our next VP! Yay!!! Such a good man, but also a strong man! I'm excited about the future of our country again!
This is the type of person we need in our White House. Help our families. Keep the children fed. All in the service of our people.

Hmmm, maybe it shouldn't be considered a controversial issue for the government in MN to make it easier for ALL parents. Maybe many people CAN afford to provide lunch, but now they can use the money they're saving for other things like saving for the future or paying for a home. There is nothing wrong with easing the burden on EVERY parent.
