I bought two Wiha 1/4" hex driver ratchet & bit sets, one for my girlfriend to assemble Ikea furniture and one for me. Thankfully the gift set was perfect! Mine had a jamming-up issue with the ratchet. I emailed Wiha & they replaced it immediately, sight-unseen! It came in two days! I give their customer service 5 stars!
In Asia screwdrivers with ball handles are very popular to achieve the hand-grip you describe. If you want to try it on a full size driver look for Champion, Vessel, or other Japanese screwdrivers brands.
I do like Wiha screwdrivers, I’ve quite a few, including the stubby you’re using there. Wera too, I’ve still got a couple of their Phillips drivers I bought in 1982. Sadly the rest have been lost or stolen, I did have a full set. As a mobile tech (in the U.K.) I really like screwdriver bits as it reduces the weight and bulk of my standard kit, which I often have to carry by hand, sometimes up stairs etc, and often a long way from my van! I use a bit of a mix of brands here, Snap-on soft grip ratcheting driver with long, short and 1/4” drive shafts, the Wiha stubby, and a Facom Nano compact 1/4” drive set with sockets 5.5-14mm and a selection of 1/4” bits, straight, Hex, Torx, Phillips & Posi. The bits I’ve replaced over time with Wera Bit Check bits. Easy to see the size in dark warehouses with my failing eyesight! This covers a multitude of sins and this lot will fit in my pockets if necessary.
I bought their slimline electrical bit set. First time I used one of the bits it broke. I filled out the online form included a pic. They got back to me right away and sent it right out. I have more Wera tools but that made me a fan of Wiha.
Hey Docc, I use the 13 inch model. It works great. I have been using it for more than 5 years. I also use my palm to unscrew or screw in screws. I like it because it feels like a stick shift knob. Thanks.
I am interested in good bit sets as I have a couple screwdrivers that take standard (1/4"?) bits. In particular interested in Torx down to T4 for knife maintenance. Also I agree with you, the "stubby" SnapOn ratchet screwdriver would be amazing with a super short shaft.

They must’ve seen the other video. I don’t think they send all that stuff to everyone that warrantees their stubby bit driver.

To open a box with care using a large knife, pinch the blade near the tip and cut through the tape. Your fingers become depth control.
Seems like you got the UA-cam reviewer experience? Are other people going to have the same experience?
Have you done a review on nut driver sets? I recently was looking for a metric set hopefully with hollow shafts.
You can always repair the other one. 6mm rare earth magnets from the usual sources on the net and a dab of JB Weld.

I love the Snap On stubby ratchet screwdriver. Not cheap, but zero regrets once in the hand.
