Very nice. I see this is an older video, but I am glad I ran across it. I recently purchased some distress and mica sprays and I appreciate the variety of ways you used them in this video. Will definitely help me out and I love that beautiful background you created.
Hi Lynn! So nice to meet you! I love these sprays and your card is amazing! Love Halloween and anything Tim Holtz! Beautiful work! Looking forward to seeing your other videos! Big hugs and blessings sweet friend!
So spooky … great card for teenager too. Hi Lynn… I would like to case this idea but instead of a card I want to make my friend a hardboard tag as a decor piece … I got several sizes of Tim’s tags I want to pretty much follow your idea as I bought all these dies too. Can I ask how long it took you in real time to make ? Thank you
Hello! The product information states that “These mica stains adhere to paper, wood, fabric, canvas, and other porous surfaces.” I think the key here is that it works best on a porous surface. I have used it on black, white and Kraft cardstocks of different weights and it works beautifully. I think it might rub off of glossy Cardstock or vellum paper....but I have not tried that...so you may want to play around and see what happens. Hope this helps! Have a great day!😊
Hi Candace! I have never had that problem. I just checked some of my backgrounds and they are fine...no mica rubbing off. I don’t know if it could be the paper you are using. It may not stay on papers that have a glossy finish...although I haven’t tried that yet..that is something that you could check. I used the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock. The packaging states that the sprays will “adhere to paper, canvas, wood, fabric and other porous surfaces”. One other thing that I could suggest is to try a matte spray fixative...but be sure to test this on a sample first before you go to your project. I really hopes this helps! Take care!
@@pinkwhisperdesigns3152 Oooh, I think that could be it. I'm sure I didn't have that problem in the past. It might be the paper for sure. Thanks so much for your help. I appreciate it. :)

Can I use any card stock when using these stains?

Do you have any issues with the mica sprays rubbing off when you touch them after they dry? That happens to me and I don't know what to do about it.
