    it was rough but i think it was an important learning experience, and the next phrenzy i feel will probably be very fun and not have anywhere near as many issues.
    remember people, this is only the second phrenzy. not everything is gonna work out in the first few tries of something, so let the devs cook and keep your criticism constructive and respectful :)

    Phrenzy is, at its core, just a way for people to try new characters. By the end of of the phrenzy I had a grasp on how characters I don’t usually play work. Sling and shuri were definitely two characters I barely touched but after the phrenzy I kinda get how to play them even though they were not close to my top scorers. But yeah, it was mostly luck based to get into the thresholds, I had to hope that my team was bad so I could secure kills and hope that the other team was also bad so I wouldn’t get killed. The enemy team not knowing I could cancel their spin with M2 or caught on that I was jumping into the air onto them was how I got like 370 score as ban hammer

    I 100% think that this Phrenzy did have a lot of issues ESPECIALLY since I was a level 80-90 going against level 400s but I just hate how people are whining and harassing the devs, like if you had a issue keep it to yourself like you said in the video

    Honestly, I think the main issue would still be the fact that a ton of high-wanted rewards was put into a gamemode that is complete RNG.
    I also kinda found a lot of it to be not too fun, especially Boombox, Vinestaff, Medkit, Banhammer, and especially Katana mainly due to the repetition of them and how some skills can be absolutely stupid in some MUs (Vinestaff E does like 70 damage to everything like holy moly).
    But yeah, I do understand your view on it especially in this video compared to my (much more) negative views on the PHRENZY. Weirdly, I didn't mind the scoring systems at all. Yeah, Conquer usually gave harsher scoring compared to Annihilate for most of the phighters but I thought the scoring was perfectly fine and was mainly an issue because of the over-arching issue of like a bunch of luck based things stacked on one another.
    Cool video though, and yeah be respectful to devs

      Yeah it really wasn't the best idea to introduce kill effects into a gamemode that's highly RNG based.
      The scoring system as a concept was actually good and could 100% work in a future Phrenzy gamemode, it just didn't mesh well with this one. A silly unbalanced gamemode just isn't fun to play on when there's some pretty big rewards on the line, especially since getting said rewards required good performances, and you aren't in too much control over how well you do usually. I honestly think I would've enjoyed this Phrenzy more if there were no rewards.

      I perfectly agree with this. It was fun to play, but if you wanted to try and get the better rewards like the skin, you’d have to waste a lot of time hoping that the stars align and a blue moon shows its face just to get a phighter score higher than 200 (or just waste your time until you get 10k points). My highest score was ban hammer on 282, but the other 2 phighters with the highest (katana & vinestaff) was on the 160s, they were way too rare to get, and even if you got them, you had to hope that the enemy team was bad enough to get free points from them (I only had 3 katana matches out of the whole time I played, and almost all of them were losses). Maybe they should stop giving rewards if the phrenzy is complete RNG, and make phrenzys that are more dependent on effort than chance (basically stop making randomizer game modes with rewards)

    I'm new to this game, and I must say that playing that phrenzy made me learn a lot about every character and also helped me find my mains, so I keep a good memory from it

    i see this phrenzy as a “learn from your mistakes” for both the player base and the devs. obviously the phrenzy wasn’t supposed to be easy nor balanced… as it’s quite literally a chaotic *phrenzy* for crying out loud, and the gamemode itself could obviously use a lot more tweaking in terms of what the players can access and how much you’d need to grind. i personally enjoyed decoy deploy sheerly for it’s unpredictable chaos, and i think that’s what gave it it’s fun charm. people just whined to the devs because they were tired of grinding, but that’s really no valid excuse to be an ass.

    Honestly, for me at least, Phrenzy was really fun. It made me play the game longer than I usually do, and it even got the game to 1k+ players. Now, I can’t speak too much here (i started playing phighting a LOT in May, first joined in April didn’t touch it til May.], but the only thing I didn’t like was just the point system as it was completely based out of luck and I barely got a high score higher then like, what? 543 or somethin’?
    But aside from the point system, it was really fun. I figured how to heal as vine staff [I seriously didn’t know how to play as her at all or heal] and got better as Boombox, so uh 9/10, nice phrenzy, there’s probably other things I forgot I didn’t like but whatever

    It probably would've been a lot funner if there wasn’t such promising rewards. So instead of enjoying the event, people were being a lot more competitive and it was upsetting to lose.

    I wish it was more publicly stated that the kill effect, skins, and titles were going to be obtainable after the phrenzy. From lots of people I talked to, they were legit unaware of that.
    I also feel like the main problem with the 25k score thing was, as stated, how it was announced way too late. If you already had the 10k total phrenzy score and didn't want to roll the dice to get into top 1%, you usually just stopped there. If the 25k was announced earlier, people prob would've actually had an EXTREMELY positive reception to it in comparison.
    Something else is the inherent flaw of having ranked score events based on pvp matches. As stated, you kinda had to pray for a bad server (and many people resorted to farming scores with other randoms, which resulted in MANY bans due to it not being properly communicated that this behavior is ban-worthy). If you take splatoon's big run in comparison, you'll notice that it's far less easy to blame rng due to it being a PvE match.
    Other factors also contributed to rng, mainly being that some phighters just got better scores, ghostwalker existing, certain maps, etc, but I think you get the point.
    If anything, I feel like 80% of the problems during the phrenzy was actually communication issues. I think like at least 50 people got banned due to being unaware that cooperating with farming was an offense for example. Remember that a good chunk of the playerbase are kids who aren't going to take the effort to dig through the discord for any mention of certain things. I'm still baffled how little communication there is through the ACTUAL game about the phrenzy. It's almost as if they expected everyone to be on the discord server.

      Same here. I had a LOT of fun talking with people during or before those matches going "THIS IS FOR YOU MAMA" and occasionally getting chats of people just saying that through the entire match. One of my favorites I remember is someone saying the Vine Staff rounds were just seeing who could plant a better garden.

    I feel like it was too grindy for an event meant to be fun, I kinda lost, interest in playing it when I realized I would have to grind hours for the good rewards. That’s the only flaw I really noticed though and I definently had a lot more fun in the beginning of the phrenzy.

    Honestly the only reason I didn't like this phrenzy was because of something you mentioned
    I only play Banhammer and no one else, so trying to play other phighters was a fucking nightmare, even on the rounds I got phighters I could play it just felt like an absolute drag and just extremely unfun to play.
    Everything else tho I have no issue with, I thought the scoring and threshholds stuff was fine, but I didn't find out about them until the last day of the phrenzy so I couldn't rlly grind it out (after like 1/2 days I stopped playing the phrenzy cuz of the reasons I mentioned before)
    Kinda just baffles me people are so upset over generally good changes

    me after getting museum skate 2 times in a row: 🤯
    honestly i found this phrenzy suuper great n i liked if a lot more than mix-up madness :p. i was a lot more focused on just having fun instead of stressing about points n it was just an overall great experience(besides the part where i played phrenzy for like 15 hours and didn’t get a single bio annihilate match,, cough i love rng). i couldnt even be upset over the vine matches just because of how silly n violent they were lol. it was just a good time n i enjoyed playing w friends n watching 5 subspaces ulting at the same time. it makes me a bit sad knowing that other ppl didnt have as much fun w/ this phrenzy cuz like to me its like a limited time gamemode u wont experience again in the future, but w/ other ppl they’re a lot more focused on getting the perfect match for the rewards (n thats valid bcus a whole ranking system will make it somewhat competitive)
    i wasnt online when the results dropped but i feel like the 25k points announcement was a rlly big blow for some ppl bcuz they prolly felt like “damn i couldve had more motivation to grind if i knew that beforehand”. i hope the devs are fairing better now, ppl need to realize that this is just a dev team of 3 ppl working on a game during their free time, n having arguments over something so minuscule is just gonna go nowhere. that said tho i have high hopes for future phrenzies! i expect theyll have the reward system figured out by then (sorry if this is written badly i hate english lol)

    The game mode was fun, and it helped me get better with some characters. I hope they add a random option in the base game

    As a self proclaimed pretty good multiclass, i thought the phrenzy was mad fun, but after like 2 days... it got VERY boring. This may be because i know how to play all classes to a good level, but i feel it was because of the RNG with teams and support rounds felt so bad and made me feel like leaving, because of the 2x damage which is completely unnecessary for classes like boombox and subspace.

    This was my first phrenzy and i didnt know how the point system worked and didnt get to play much (i think i had around 300 total points and 200 of other points because idk how the thing even worked, also im on mobile and have bad wifi before you reply skill issue)
    Honestly they should explain this stuff in game like when the phrenzy ends and how it actually works because i literally had to join the discord just to find out how to play the video game 💀
