@@randomguywithasilkyfella I think it’s actually cause all classes can do well on it. Melees have a wide open area (and there are plenty of bumps for skate to trick on). There are plenty of sightlines that ranged classes can use and there are little corners to hide behind when recovering. That’s why I think it’s so popular.
because space knights is open. hq is small and cramped and it kinda endorses spawncamping because of its small and cramped design. space knights is empty but it’s ok and decent so most won’t mind.
as a vent mosquito ( I survive and kill alot as a slingshot inside vents inside Rob The Roblox Bank ( or whatever the name is :| ) I support your ranking for the map. And also my fav map is Laundromat due to the fact my tatic as Slingshot gives me just enough cover to spam C ( I need healing! ) before I get killed. ^^ And also, the rating for Rocket Arena is reasonable, but also I'd rank it only a tier higher for me ( as a ex skateborad main who rarely would play them ) that rocket arena is skateboard HEAVEN!1
nuke the whales is f tier because geyser camping bastards ok but fr i feel like everything you listed about how you can use the point to your advantage is exactly the reason i really dont like playing the map, everytime you get close to killing someone if you dont have something that can instantly finished them off very easily they just jump off the point and boowomp youre not actually able to kill them. Its not quite as bad if i play ranged but it just leads to alot of very frustrating moments of getting someone incredibly low and then they just jump all around the point and geysers making it incredibly annoying to kill them
I honestly disagree with a lot of the arguments for this tierlist, for example, with 14 phighters and 26 maps, all unique from each other, it should show that phighting is a game where you should try to adapt with ur team to their surroundings, for example, you keep saying that low cover is a bad thing, then, pick a phighter that can shoot, or one with high agility. Cramped or open maps shouldnt be a bad thing, they are variety that give the game much more flavor than if they were all balanced. I also found that the tierlist was very inconsistent since sometimes certain aspects were good then bad, for example, in darkage cliffs, he loves it because there is cover in the center of the zone and there are more closed different zones around it but suddenly in space knights, which has a very similar structure, that’s bad? Also small thing but i dont get why rocket arena was hated so much, it might be partly because not many people think of being a team player but imo its great how dynamic the gameplay can get moving with your team to clash with other teams, he also complains about spawning alone far away from his team but it doesnt make that much sense since thats what the conveyors are for and because when you die, your allies are more likely to die soon with you, (unless you just killed the enemy team in which case this would not be a problem) so its very unlikely that youll be alone for much, and the slower characters that cant get away immediately if they are outnumbered are the tanky phighters which should give them time for their allies to catch up. TL:DR: try to adapt otherwise its a skill issue that you expect the same strategy to work in 26 maps
space knights doesnt really have cover in the center (unsure if the middle thing blocks range attacks but you can literally just walk directly through it despite it really not looking like it, and id assume rangeds can just shoot through it but i havent tested it) i do mostly agree with your point about adapting though. also i feel like the reason rocket arena is so hated is because 1. its hard to get away when the conveyors are inactive, which yeah sure isnt a problem when they are active but they turn off lol theyre not always there and 2. ranged characters have such a big advantage considering the fact theres like 0 cover, sure the railings make it a bit harder but even then they can still usually hit your head or just... jump on the railing to get rid of the problem because the railing is everywhere lol atleast thats what i find really frustrating and unfun about playing rocket arena
I find that Rocket Arena’s conveyors are more annoying than otherwise depending on what direction you were trying to go (and since they aren’t always active or anything you can’t always rely on them if you are anyway). Also, no, the space knights beam does not block ranged attacks. It is not cover whatsoever lol (but it kinda covers you visually from sight? Though it’s not as reliable as being actual “cover” all in all) I agree with the points presented for the most part though. Like, I enjoyed old bank when others hated it for it’s being cramped and everything. Maybe that kind of geography also favors certain phighters, but honestly many maps will just inherently have that advantage to some since they’re all different and play differently- so it’s no bad thing. Especially just adapting and playing differently in these situations
1. Honestly fair! Lists will always be bias and I get that adaptations are a part of it! I would go more into depth about that stuff but at that point the video would be over an hour long and be an absolute nightmare to finish. And I do appreciate variety but some map layouts can almost somewhat blend into each other or the layout itself can just feel awkwardly designed. 2. I see the point but the comparison is kinda shaky. Space Knights cover near the point is outside the point and consists mainly of a small wall while Darkage's point has a big tree on the point acting as cover, a closed in space that doesn't make combat feel awkwardly ranged, and the gates and easy high vantage points outside of point are much better than a high vantage point only a few phighters can reach (with 1 being able to utilize it). But I think certain elements work on different types of maps. 3. The conveyors are on a cycle, you can quite literally play around it any time and the 2 separated spawns you can come from are pretty substantial when being separated. Also, most of the time you can't coordinate with your team at all unless you're in a VC with friends or doing a scrim (which is a whole different environment). Not only that, the map can pretty much be dominated by a lot of tanky healer teams since 1 team can dedicate themselves to a corner of the map and play defensively or just dive into the separated enemies to fish for kills. It's easily one of the most snowball-heavy maps in the game and at many times, it feels like the team that is down kills just struggle way more to take back a lead unless the enemy team just actively sucks. If you like the map though, that's fine!
i'd put teapot in A, bread factory and arcade in S, nuke the whales in F I HATE NUKE THE WHALES!!!!!!!!!!!!!, roblox hq in D, hotel in C, space knights, banland and mall in B, doomspire in A, darkage in A i don't know whether to put sft in A or S because it's amazing but i don't like it as much as the rest of S tier
in defense of hotel elephant: even though I did like old version oof the map, there was much things in one small place on the screen thatit was hard focus on whats going on, the new version on the other hand doesn't havethis problem, and overall is more enjoyable to play more (also people actually vote this map unlike the old version that not many people liked), they preety much just scaled up the map while keeping the core features what imo makes it superior also one cramped map (roblox HQ) is already egnough, we don't need more also something like skate was straight up unplayable on the old version
really good video!! I loved how you explained everything and separating maps by their gamemodes was a really good choice I will like to say that I do think Protect Telamon's layout isn't the greatest, however the darker tone and colors (especially paired with the spectacular music) don't really feel that lifeless, maybe if there were more lights or even rain and thunder it could be a tiny bit better but it still gives a completely different tone than the rest of the maps and I think it's great!!
@@just_one_kiwi yeh, but it’s still better. The old hotel had character to it, the way it was so bumpy, requiring you to understand how to use it to your advantage like Roblox HQ. The new one is far too open and confusing. With the moving rails being relegated to one big boring one. And don’t get me started on the crates that instakill you. Every other kill hazard is easily avoided if you understand where they are. The spiked crates are the exception, so you can just die instantly without warning which is completely unfair. Also it’s just kinda boring compared to the old one.

I think they should make museum an escort map cuz of how much room there is in museum
am i the only one that thinks that darkheart's revenge is a really fun map because you don't need any strategy?
you are in fact not the only one
