I believe it is possible and righteous to condemn the lifestyles and actions, including gay marriage which may be legal but is not real. but love the individuals that may consider themselves part of that identity.we cannot only follow the scripture we like, nor can we interpret it how we like. The Bible is clear. Sorry, Tim. I really loved your sermons.

I Have a new understnding of the purpose of the Genealogy in Matthew. and the reason why Matthew included it in his book. While I may not understand or agree with everything you say I am deeply grateful to have found a voice that loves and interprets Gods word in a way I can understand and appreciate. I love the historical context you bring to scripture as well as viewing the Bible in light of its overarching narrative. I just find that your style of Bible teaching appeals to my personality more so without diminishing other approaches. In my experience this type of more analytical approach is frowned upon for some reason.
The whole love you portrayed in the 2 Genesis's ...(OT..+ .NT Matthew) through parenting your two boys describes not only the bloodline of Kings...but the complex completion of a restored Eden through God's love . Thank you.

They're related in that the priest offers a sacrifice on behalf of the sins of the people, but he cannot offer himself, but instead an animal stand-in. The lamb symbolizes a sacrifice that can purge the sins of the people, but a lamb cannot offer itself. Only a priestly representative of the people must offer the lamb on behalf of the people. Jesus is the priestly representative who can and did offer, not an unblemished lamb as a symbol, but his unblemished self as the only true purge for our sins. Only in Jesus is the human representative and the purging sacrifice combined. And only through reign of Jesus as our human ruler and representative (priest) can we relate as faithful sons to our God.

What about teaching about Sabbath and keeping it as a holy set-aside day? YESHUA kept and celebrated all the Sabbaths and Biblical High Holy Days. Why are so many still under the Roman Catholic influence of keeping Sunday as a Sabbath? It is written more than 187 times in the Bible to keep, guard and observe the Sabbath -- so why is Sunday still being held in such regard? Can anyone help me better understand this ...... please
Tomasz, your question actually answered my question, the bible says to keep the sabbath but once Yeshua was sacrificed I wasn't sure if I was supposed to still observe, if we weren't supposed to keep the Sabbath I feel that Yeshua would have said so, I know Sundsy is Pegan/Catholic but I love celebrating and worshiping our Lord every day, not only do I love it but I can't go wrong but only get closer to Imanuel worshiping and praising every day. Tim Mackie has actually talked about the sabbath in one of the Bible project videos here on UA-cam. Just search (the bible project sabbath) and it'll be the first to show up. If you haven't seen any of their videos yet I highly recommend them, they are very well made.
Tim is such a great teacher and communicator but I wish he would stop saying “Holy Cow”. The term holy should not be attributed to anything or anyone that is not truly holy.
A better question is what Bible does he study from? As a language scholar Dr. Mackie studies scriptures in the original languages (Hebrew and Greek). His interpretations are from his original language study, not from modern English translations. So then he is free to utilize any helpful version for teaching. But they are not his sources.
