If you had to pick one, what would it be? 🤔 1- Lamborghini Athon by Bertone 2- Ferrari 512 S Modulo Pininfarina 3- 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero Concept 4- 1967 Lamborghini Marzal Concept 5- 1969 Abarth 2000 Scorpio
They basically did, it's called the Countach! I absolutely love that Athon though 🤤, the interior is very reminiscent of the Countach - I'll have to check when the prototype is from.
I think rather it is an extremely accurate prediction of many of the new electric cars. Stuff a electric motor in and a very few adjustments on lights and interior and it's a 2025 model.
Marcello Gandini (Bertone) is responsible for many design masterpieces , including the Athon, Stratos, Marzal, and Arbath shown in this video. This is the first time I've seen the ethereal Lamborghini Marzal in motion. Thank you for sharing this video.
This video made a bunch of my childhood dreams come to life! THANK YOU. I had a special edition of “Road & Track” that featured a lot of these cars... as a kid I treasured that magazine.

I personally saw most of them while I was at Torino, Italy. My heart is divided between the Marzal and the Stratos. I really loved your compilation. Nice job!
Why is it that the italians got everything correct, the music, the architecture, the food, the women, the country side, wine , cars etc, i want to live in italy 🇮🇹!
No they are not, they are obsessed with looking good. if they were obsessed with details, they would have much better QC in the cars they build and the engineering they do.
So geil. Das design so zeitlos futuristisch und dazu dieses Blubbern von aufgeladenen V12 Vergaser Motoren aus dem letzten Jahrtausend. Der Hammer. futuristic Design and the Sound of old engines, beautiful.
All those cars are works of art, but that Ferrari 512 S Modulo is just a work of art 🔥👍👌❤️; I mean they shoul have least build 10 of them, that someone would have purchase them trust me🤔
Shame she's so empty and cannot drive, I think without access to the vehicles that she does then she would be nothing. Give me Harris or Catchpole any day
These cars are pure art: they show mechanical engineering avantgarde and unique stylistic designes. 50 years ago dind't exist computer modelling and sophisticated equipment to model that shapes. Their function was (and is ) pure exhibition and experimentation of designers. Whoever does not understand this and criticizes non-useful solutions has lost from the start
I bet they had such fun designing but then actually making these cars. Like having your drawings as a 10 year old turned into reality. Each of them also looks completely lethal!
I bought a concept car book that includes all of these. Seeing them in FMV is a lot more revealing. The Athon seems to devote so much of its engine-to-cockpit volume ratio to the former that it should be able to fly...it almost looks like a flattened, convertible van. The Pininfarina looks even sexier than the Scorpio, but it seems to have UI challenges, and it seem to demand that its occupants be good friends. The door really needs to be motorised. I had wanted a Stratos since I first saw it in orthogonal stills; it seems driver view may be seriously compromised. How wonderful they put a 17" touch display in it; brilliant! Love the silver upholstery in the Marzal. ("The future ain't what it used to be.") Even the dash and console are well-considered and artful! The Scorpio body is the very appealing...except for the exposed engine. And the cockpit seems almost primitive ("simple" is probably the description they'd use.) All things considered, I'd say I fancy the Pininfarina for myself (followed closely by the Stratos) or the Marzal when I need to bring the family, but every one of them has an ICE engine, and - maybe I've been in an EV too long - they all just sound somewhere between hokey and barbaric. And a special shout-out to José De Albuquerque Jr. for pointing out the '72 Maserati Boomerang is prominent in its absence. It looks a lot like a Vector, my dream car.
Thank you for bringing this awesome video. First time I saw this concept cars was back in the 70's when I was flipping old fashion magazines from my granny's closet, but to me the best ones are not here and that was the Maserati Boomerang 1971 and the alfa romeo carabo 1968, which I feel that was just the clean up sketch from Marcello Gandini to give us the Masterpiece Lamborghini Countach, just my opinion! My only complain is they look so horribly uncomfortable but, they are just Toys!😎
OMG! This is such a Privilege! Such Fine Collection of Very Rare Cars indeed! Many looked So Futuristic even in 2020! Such Modern Classics! Thank You So Much for the Efforts & for Sharing! ♥️🍎🕯
Granted, it would be sacrilege to modify these cars in any significant way, but seeing the dated wheels and trims and thinking about more modern stuff makes one think??? Very cool cars, glad they have been so well preserved. That is actually the hardest part.
Not a surprise to see a Bertone all over the video. Gandini arguably is the most creative car designer, who knew how to build unique vehicles inspired by nature.
6:56 - A-ha-ha! :))) I see a piece of the Soviet-Russian Lada car under the hood of this monster :))) Large white Coolant expansion tank - used in our Ladas (VAZ 2103, 2106, 2101 models). 3- 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero Concept
4- 1967 Lamborghini Marzal Concept
5- 1969 Abarth 2000 Scorpio
I'd go with the Lamborghini Marzal!
2 or 3
Hmm... Torn between the stratos and the athon.
Honorable mention: Maserati Boomerang
No. 1, definitely. And then no. 4.
1 or 2. But 2
And they still look so futuristic nowadays :)
When I was a child, I had the models from Matchbox... nice old memories :)
I had a scale model of the Stratos with Martini colors. Wonder what happened to that little beauty 😕
I also, lol !
I am so happy that this era of car design existed and we are fortunate to have so extraordinary cars like these.
even drivers aren't sitting comfortably
Love these concepts where style is everything and crash survivability wasn't even a factor. Stunners
Enzo "Just don't crash" Ferrari.
Marcello "If he dies, he dies" Gandini
I'm guessing they're uncomfortable as hell to drive too
That Bertone is EXACTLY how we thought cars in the 80's would look in the future.
Pure synthwave
They basically did, it's called the Countach!

I had a Fiat X1/9 designed by Bertone.
Looks like something flying in the skies of Caprica from Battlestar Galactica!
that car is Lamborghini Athon, Bertone is design studio.

Man oh man, that Ferrari 512 S Modulo Pininfarina is phenomenal looking. Absolutely unbelievable how beautiful it is.
Hideous
I personally don’t like it I think the abarth and the Marzal are so beautiful
The sound of the Athon, the interior of the Marzal, the visual impact of the Stratos and the exhaust pipe of the Abarth. Like a mammoths snout.
This video made a bunch of my childhood dreams come to life! THANK YOU. I had a special edition of “Road & Track” that featured a lot of these cars... as a kid I treasured that magazine.
these were beautiful cars, for that era. Still unmatched today!
Sorry...that was a whole lot of ugly.

Maserati Zagato Milano blows away ALL these gimmicky concepts combined!
Where exactly in Torino ?
There was a temporary exhibition at Torino esposizioni 👍
Thanks, bring back memories. I drooled over these concept cars as a young teenager!
Pininfarina Modulo (Ferrari) is my favourite.
These cars are nowhere near as good looking as the sleek rounded cars of today. I would take a modern Toyota Camry over these
@@siluslakim8317 Yes but they looked amazing in their day compared to what the average Joe was driving. Context.
The great Italian design studios of an era of automobile artistry .........not to sell, but to express visions, and concepts.
The wedge design will turn heads for generations. The most striking design language in automobile history.

Amazing 1970s Italian Concept Cars >>> Still Turning Heads >>> Timeless Beauties! ♥️🌷
Totally speechless and even more amazing is the extent to which these cars have been preserved.
Funny thing is : these cars are still more futuristic looking than the cars we have today. Everything was better back then 😉
The Engineers back in the days were for progress and the Engineers today are for a consumer economy, sadly😢
I think that the cars we have now would be safer than these wedge designs.
Nah. Cars nowadays looks futuristic if you came from 1970-80. They are also far more efficient whilst being quicker and faster.
That Athon looks like it's brought out from Star Wars or some space/future movie, so cool!
I live in an era when the future is past.
then go back to the future
Future in Past Tense?

Lancia stratos, Legend!

The best sport cars ,ever made in italy
The Athon is so cool! Very simple interior but total class.
Cyberpunk 2077, который мы заслужили!
Nice, I never saw an Athon on the move before!
Beautiful machines pieces of art, from the greatest automobile designers in the world Battista Pininfarina, and Giuseppe Bertone.
Not exactly Guiseppe Bertone but Marcello Gandini ;) AFAIK he coined 3 of the 5
All those cars are works of art, but that Ferrari 512 S Modulo is just a work of art 🔥👍👌❤️; I mean they shoul have least build 10 of them, that someone would have purchase them trust me🤔
What a wonderful time to be a car designer, or just someone who loves the machine known as the automobile. Just a great video. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely stunning cars! Priceless in their worth, and I'm sure I had these or similar versions of these in Matchbox Dinky Cars from the 70's!
Excellent beautiful amazing sublime inmortal.
It was the second car in the video for me. Mainly for that bad ass V12 sitting in the back of it. Thing sounds rowdy as hell! 👌
Just imagine the sound of that Fiat Abarth when giving full beans ❤️😀
That Bertone is straight from Cyberpunk ❤️❤️❤️

The Marzal has aged well except for the “space man” silver seats.
Way better than today’s design.
The Lamborghini Marzal looks like a Delorean, the Stratos with a soccer ball for a steering wheel haha!
The Delorean was designed in Italy..that’s why they look similar.
