Idk, I am lahori and when I visited LUMS for LUMUN, i felt there was a lot of lower and middle class people and some pendi awam there as well. Unlike the A levels schools that are currently in Lahore...

I respectfully disagree with your viewpoint on liberalism and the perception of elite students at LUMS. When it comes to liberalism, it's subjective and varies from person to person. Some may see it as simply wearing Western clothing or being outspoken, while others view it as a broader mindset that embraces new ideas and perspectives. There are various reasons why people might not get into LUMS or have issues with the university's reputation, but liberalism itself shouldn't be blamed for that.
Liberalism, at its core, involves accepting different views and ideologies, as well as welcoming innovation. So, I fail to see any harm in it. Additionally, there's a significant community of practicing Muslims at LUMS, which might not be evident to someone who's only experienced the university through a debating competition or hearsay.
Regarding elite students, I believe it's a misconception. While LUMS students may appear well-dressed, articulate, and academically exceptional, it doesn't automatically mean they come from wealthy backgrounds. It's true that some students may come from privileged families, but it's essential to recognize that a substantial portion of LUMS students receive financial aid. In fact, around 40% of the student body benefits from some form of financial assistance, and approximately one-third of them are studying at LUMS on aid. programs like NOP play a crucial role in ensuring that students from underprivileged backgrounds have access to quality education at LUMS.
In conclusion, LUMS students come from diverse backgrounds, and the university is committed to providing opportunities for talented individuals regardless of their socioeconomic status. Therefore, it's essential to avoid generalizations and stereotypes when discussing liberalism and the student demographics at LUMS
