Don't forget, these both cover the 12m band as well!!! I have both radios (Anytone branded) and the performance is incredible. I say this, with them sitting next to a new Yaesu FTDX10 in my shack. They are that good!
Their performance is really not that great. They pick up lot of spurious harmonics unfortunately. Other than some quirky things, it's okay for the price though. I would not expect them to last as long as Japanese, American, or Taiwan made electronics. The transmit audio is quite dirty on a scope as well.

Back in 1981, one day 10 meters was wide open while I was camping in a forest on the shore of Lake Superior. Michigan U.P. There was no background noise. Eerily quiet. Just started the video, but I just wanted to add that the QT40 will also do the 12m band if you open it up, and the whole of 12m fits on one bank easily. I actually opened mine up and MANUALLY (it was a pain) put all the old channels on them with one of the empty banks I did 11m, then 12m on another empty one, then some 10m repeaters and calling frequencies on another that was empty

Nice! Any comments on the difference between the AT-6666 and the AT-5555N II / QT60? I hate doing even simple hardware mods, so I guess that's a major plus for the AT-6666 right? Are there any software mods for the AT-5555N II / QT60?
It would be nice, in the software they could update it to be able to change the frequencies in the weather channel reception to receive the VHF amateur band or public safety.

this is NOT a ham radio no matter what the label says so this is why it tunes in 5k steps. This is directly aimed at the 11 meter market but it can be "used" on 10 meters if someone wanted to.

For 12 meter you need a longer antenna. Your 10 meter antenna will not tx very well on 12 meter. It will not be resonant. The calling freq is 24.950.

Can you program 2 meter repeaters in the weather mode?

where's part 2 on the Radioddity qt60 ?? great Info videos thanks KC2LNB
This is not new it is sold i Europe as CRT SS-7900V Turbo 10m all mode for a bout 5 years.
How do you like the Radioddity QT60 compared to your President Lincoln V2 ? Especially the receive ?
Did you say this does FM on (CB) 11 meters?
I'm hoping to open up the 11 meter band. It does 12m also??
What antenna do you recommend for a home install?
A radio like that should be wired to the battery with Pos and Neg Fused.
Yes it will be
No need for a neg fuse, if there is a short the pos fuse will burn.
great video lots of info thanks
still waiting for part 3 ! on QT-60
hi. with this radio . can listen an talk with cb frequencys and ham frequencys as well.? i,m a newbie on this
Great video Eric, thanks for that!

I didn't see a menu for display brightness or color. Did I miss it?
What use case would this fit for an Amateur Extra? I am genuinely curious.
Is this mod something abojt cutting a jumper and moving things hardware wise
Regarding the expanded frequency modification.
What is it?
How do u set up Ch,s for DW from front keys ? it,s not in the Manual
How does this compare to the quad 5 in performance and 11 meter conversion is it the same or different
How do you use the built-in SWR to tune the antenna?
The QT60 looks exactly like the AT-5555NII. I would bet they are the same.

How do you set up an antenna for this radio?
Any idea what the lowest frequency it can handle after mod's?
I'm interested in the mod you mentioned. Think you'll ever have time for that video?
It's coming this week, I'm installing it in my work truck

hello, Is 11 meter mod the same as the 40 just move a jumper? thanks
It's coming up on video
Just in case you dont know any HF Ham radio can do 11 meters with a Mars Mod.
12 meters also? But voids warranty?
Yes, but I work countless countries on 12 every day, video to follow
At 250 bucks, who needs a warranty?
Can this selectively call a particular country ?
No, it's all propagation dependant
Can the Anytone 6666 be modded for the 12 meter.
I’ll let you know in the next video
