All of us that live in Memphis are thinking the same thing! I have to say, it’s pretty crazy being at a game and hearing the whole place BOO for him at home.
Im from Serbia, i know peolle who are close to Pekovic, i hope you see this, he is a mass cocaine, alcohol and drug user in general, which is one of the biggest reason hes done
His shooting technique is not perfect or close to being perfect. Arc on his shot is pretty flat as well. I don't believe he is a good shooter. Streaky shooter - yes, good shooter - no.
That’s the nba today lol a young player has a decent season then followed up by a great season. And teams wanna sign them to 4yrs/$100M. And by the fourth year into the contract they’re horrible. GMs are like kids lol
They make is it seems like anyone of us could be a gm lol it’s like look grab this player before someone else does don’t think about it just do it and we can trade later. Nope
Under the cap rules the teams have to spend the money. That’s why Conley got the biggest contract in history at the time and was not the best player in the nba. Rookies today are lucky as hell because they are throwing brinks trucks at these guys now. 4 for 45 was a good contract now that’s scrub money. Bigger tv contracts means bigger revenue sharing between owners and players. If the game continues to grow like it has 4 for 200 is what giannis or Ben Simmons will get and still be able to sign another contract.
MJ Zoom are you kidding. Golden State is at the old 2000s Lakers level of luxury tax. Maybe even more since the rules are more harsh. They have a bunch of guys taking a little less Money so they can sign the other guy to an almost max contract. Basically, they have max players taking less than max and it ain’t gonna last for long. Draymond is a near max. Steph max. Durant max. Klay max. And then expensive vets. Lol they pay just like any other championship caliber team pays.
MJ Zoom Tbh, no. Golden State has players willing to take massive paycuts for rings. They wouldn’t dare take anything less than their worth if it didn’t mean an automatic ring. And anyways it goes, Draymond, Klay, and Kevin all want a max contract. And I’m quite sure that Golden State can’t hand out 3 Max contracts
2020. He left Memphis, he signed with Atlanta, he averaged like 14pts. per game, which means that he was doing good, in january 2020, he was hit by a car, and he was seriously injured, he even questioned his retirement, but he is now a free agent and he said that he would happily accept a 1 or 2 year contract for the minimum, to, at least, show that he can still ball
zaubnino77 75 mil for 3 good seasons? Nah, mavs contract he earned but the griz were on something when they gave him that contract. And he’s still gonna make over 45 mil the next 2 seasons, likely on the bench or injured.
exactly, based on his trajectory, he was paid right, just obviously was not as hungry after 2 knee surgies and 90 million dollar check lmao !!! good for him though is what it is. he ain the only one, thats for damn sure !!!!!!! they just fuk with him cause he white, lot of other players overpaid man. IMO.
He really only had 2 good years. Regardless of his stats, you could see his mobility and jumps decrease sharply every single year. He was getting schooled on defense already in his 3rd year as players shook him off easily. All his rookie speed, energy, and hustle was gone by year 3.
For some reason Joe Dumars thought Stuckey was going to he this next great player for the Detroit Pistons. So Stuckey was off limits for any trades until Stuckey proved he wasn't the player Joe Dumars thought he was going to be. And yet Dumars still loved him.
I remember when Chandler Parsons made 10 3’s in a half with the Rockets he was a beast it looked like he was gonna be the next Reggie Miller but injuries killed him
Stuckey, Deng, Pekovic, Nate Robinson, Aaron Brooks and so on maybe... I know they kinda old but is there any official info about kirk hinrich and mike dunleavy jr retirement?? Thanky for all info
I would like to know what happened to those 2 (Kirk and Dunleavy) they got both lengthy careers and just faded out probably because there really old (both 37)
As bulls fan its interesting there are plenty of them like Boozer also i dont know if there any official about his retirment. I google little bit and the only i know i remember that kirk played bit in hawks and dunleavy played alongside bron for a while a then also finished in hawks. But i dont know about official retirment of these 2.

Hope he comes back from those knee injuries and keeps ballin. Kinda irks me that a Grizzlies fan pulled that stunt on him when Chandler was gracious enough take a pic with him.
Not gonna lie back when he was on the rockets I remember thinking he could be an all-star one day. He was like a legit 6 foot 10 wing shooting lights out and he was pretty athletic too. He also showed a lot of promise on the defensive end because of his length and athleticism. Worse case scenario I thought he was gonna be a really good 3 and D wing, which is probably the most valuable role in today's NBA. Now he's barely even a starting caliber player. I understand injuries have set him back but even when he first got to Dallas he just wasn't producing like he was back in Houston. It almost seems like he got the bag and lost his will to get better or something

Excellent information and well explained. Dude has bad knees and a limited game but a desperate or needy team will pay. Good luck clearing that contract.
It sucks that Chandler sucks now. Dude was looking pretty good! I could have seen him averaging 18-21 points in his prime, but he just didn’t care enough plus he had injuries. :(
people like chandler parson is why you dont give out huge money to people who dont deserve it because they get fat and happy and are playing just for the money and nothing elase
Well, Memphis even back then will agree with you, but they have to sign someone, and Parson is one of the better option for them at the time. If you turn back time again, they prbly will do the same, that was a crazy year, Parson is just one of the many stupid contracts signed. The reason cap space is important is that you can have a chance to lure good players with money when other teams can't, when every team has more money to spend, it's really not different than no team has money.
Chandler Parson's name is kind of pronounced " Qian de le, pa shen shi" ("钱得了,怕甚事“)in Mandarin Chinese, which literally means "Money received, then don't give a shit"
As a die hard grizzlies fan, this guy has literally ruined our team, we are probably losing Tyreke Evans this off-season because we got his max contract, our front office is redicilous. We've paid 60 mill for 7ppg and he has only played In about 60games. He literally is the reason the grizzlies as a franchise is going downhill. Worst contract in the NBA forsure! He is a Very Talented player, with a huge payment Contract, and I REALLY wish him a speedy recovery!!! This is SO sad, how one minute you can be healthy, and the next minute, you can be in a hospital fighting for your life!!!!! May God be with you, Chandler.

Let’s get 3 things straight bud, 1. He’s better at basketball than you’ll ever be. 2. He’s making millions of dollars while your probably still living off of your mom. 3. That man gets Waay more ass than you’ll get in your lifetime. Now that has been said I can continue my day
He is a great player until injuries destroys him. He really ruined grizzlies but he doesnt want in the first place to be injured and I hope one day he can comeback like D.Rose did who suffered alot before his season with the wolves.
jasmine Torres are you kidding me he went from less than 4 mil in 4 years to 94 mil in 4 you’re an idiot if you don’t take that money. Plus the rockets said they would match any offer and then they didn’t.
When Dallas signed Parsons, the Rockets had three days to decide whether or not they match the offer. Daryl Morey wanted to sign Chris Bosh and then match Parsons offer to take advantage of his low cap hold. They traded Jeremy Lin to LA to clear cap space for Bosh and they were very close to signing him, but Miami offered him a 5yr/$118M, which he accepted, and the Rockets had no other choice but to bypass the matching offer sheet of Dallas. They wanted to have a core of Harden-Parsons-Bosh-Howard

I loved when parsons when he was on rockets but yea those injuries are stinting him big time
He has one of the ugliest jumpers I've seen
Shawn Marion would like to have a word
Let’s get 3 things straight bud,
Should’ve stayed on the rockets instead of chasing a paycheck smh
jasmine Torres are you kidding me he went from less than 4 mil in 4 years to 94 mil in 4 you’re an idiot if you don’t take that money. Plus the rockets said they would match any offer and then they didn’t.
Ari Wolf maybe he would’ve made that money anyway if kept playing well? 🤷♀️🤷♀️
jasmine Torres why? I would rather be a rich loser than a broke winner.
Didnt see any correlation between broken knees and staying with the rockets
he’s the one who said he was going to quit cause of his social media and he seems like he ain’t there anymore
What happened to Charles Smith? Averaged 20+ ppg his 2nd and 3rd seasons in 35 minutes. He never played 30 min p/g or saw 20 ppg again.
I remember back in the day when heated debates about which player was better, Gordon Hayward or Chandler Parsons....
idk if the best version of himself deserved that contract but i think he can get back to what he was next year maybe.
Yeah but the year he got the contract every team had money so they gave out big contracts to any player so they could get rid of the money
They wanted to have a core of Harden-Parsons-Bosh-Howard
damn that was sounding good on paper.
how is it his fault he kept getting hurt
i liked parsons too , injuries are the worst.... like leg kicks in the ufc that end up breaking the own fighters leg
