I remember watching this originally on tv sometime around the late 90s 98/99 I think and had me in tears. Can't believe u have this interview not seen it again until now all these years later. Nice one 👍
I think the sketches where they kind of do stuff to try and make each other laugh are some their best... it’s great to see comedians laughing at their material. I’ve always had a soft spot for The Stotts.. I have lots of bits like this to post but what I keep finding is something like the Winner interview sails through with no copyright issues at all, then the next one I do is immediately blocked. Ditto the farting french men: get all 6 ready, one uploads with zero warnings, next one is blocked immediately. I’ve read about adding watermarks to try and fool YT but does anyone know a better, easier way to get stuff up?
Yellowswift3 Thanks, and glad to have made you smile. I also think this is one of the better interviews too. I think it’s a shame when people like Nick Ross are trying to be sardonic on purpose, it doesn’t work. But this Michael winner one works as you rightly say, he really does look like he’s having fun with it. This one uploaded fine and he’s not flags for any copyright it’s in Tiley open in public, and it was my intention to do all of the interviews I have them on DVD but having done the “ farting Frenchman - Courbiser and papon(sp?) pipes” too, with zero issues, I found when I tried to upload the seaside talking clown segment it was blocked globally for copyright breach. I wonder if the same will be the case for the interviews although mostly they do exist on UA-cam already in low quality forms... I think it was just the Micheal winner one I couldn’t find so I “did it myself” so to speak. My father is 90, and his favourite Stotts thing of all time is from the very first series of BNO where they have uncle Pete come on and he sits down just as Vic says to him “you sit down there uncle Pete!”and he completely breaks up, probably due to the way the guy looks more than anything else! I think one of my favourites is Caprice being interviewed. Not because she’s Caprice but because of the Titanic joke vic makes,: exposing himself to her, supposedly, and saying four phrases: “Have you seen Titanic? “, alluding to his manhood on display and the size, followed by “it is rather long “, “ my mam cried when she saw it” and the killer final line when he says “mind you, it was a bit sad at the end “and then Bob just breaks up
Yellowswift3 out of interest is there anything I might have on DVD like bang bang, VRBNO That you would particularly like to see? I’d be happy to see if I can extract the piece from the whole episode and upload it without it being blocked?
@@JamesUK-je4ew Thanks for the replies. :) I can't think of anything off the top of my head but any footage that you personally wish to upload would be very much appreciated. :) I saw them live twice in the early to mid-90s, fun times. :D
Yellowswift3 Yes same here! I’ve even been lucky enough to see them in their more recent (was it 2018 or something?) tour, and it was a bit bitter sweet: they look so much older and somehow less funny… In fact it was quite upsetting to see Bob roll up his trouser legs and his legs themselves were covered in Long scars, where they took out some surplus veins for his heart bypass space or is that bypasses?
Similarly, I loved reading Spike Milligan‘s war memoirs: as I got through the seven volumes on audiobook spike becomes older and frailer and just less vibrant, and that left the same sort of sadness with me.

Vic’s inability to ask his parsnip question without laughing is just eye wateringly funny. Regards
tht bit when vic cracks up had me in stitches

Basically all of their comedy is aimed at making each other laugh.
What is it about the "Rap five times on the drum" that is just SO funny? Love these two.
Thanks for uploading this; it's my favourite Stotts interview as well. Michael Winner is/was a good sport. :)

I miss this show
Wish this was a bit longer
Indeed… you have to wonder just how much footage was actually shot and then edited out and never used.
Can you finger print a sausage?
Calm down dear.
