Just switched from the F30 to the F30i and could not be happier. I have finally found the perfect mask for me. The medium mask is extremely comfortable, I have had zero problems with air leaks and I love having the hose on top of my head instead of pulling on the mask. Ive tried 5 different hybrid full face masks including the new F&P Evora full and the F30i is by FAR the most comfortable for me. It’s the only mask I can use all night. My setting is high pressure at max 25 cmh20 so I really need to strap whatever mask I wear tightly to keep a seal and this mask works perfectly for me. I also love that I can turn my and lay on my side and it doesn’t affect it at all. LOVE THIS MASK!

I recently switched to this mask after using a Resmed full face mask for several years. I kept waking up with deep red marks on my face from the full face mask and needed a change. This mask totally removes the red marks. When first using the F30i mask I would wake up with a sore nose from it pushing up on it all night, but that has gone away. I have noticed that I felt like I was starving for air during the ramp up when I first put it on, but I raised the bottom number on the ramp up and I feel I can breathe easier. All in all I am enjoying this mask so far.

I've been using this mask since April 9. It's the most comfortable mask I've ever used and I've been using a bipap machine for over 10 years. Just don't overtighten the straps. The area below the nose isn't made for a lot of pressure. You can find a pressure that won't cause pain but will create a really good seal. This mask is the unicorn. I highly recommend it.

Also, I don't do it too often but there were several times I just unclipped the quick release at the top of the mask tube to go to the bathroom at night and easily clicked the tube back in when I returned to bed. I think it's a really sweet mask. Very comfortable and it doesn't leave those marks on my forehead like those other masks do with those forehead supports.

@@glendavesich2677 Good questions. I find in the mornings I have marks where the mask tubes come down the sides of my face to get to the mask. But the marks are very light and are gone within a half hour or so unlike those forehead marks I used to get with my old masks that lasted for days. As for leaks, normally there are no leaks but every once in a while a strap gets a little loose ( probably because there's a little stretch in them) and then there's a slight leak. I remedy this by tightening the strap a bit which is easy to do without even lifting my head off the pillow.

Due to COVID they wouldn’t let me try more than one mask, never measured or anything. I feel the edges of the nose part pinch my nostrils together so I think I need a medium wide? She gave me a small mask and headgear to start but the measuring guide in the bag puts me at a medium. I have since tried the medium but my ahi is average 9.8.

I have an F30 mask and have bought liners from Silentnight at 6 quid each which only last for a week and are rough on the skin, then from Padacheek a piece of cloth with a few holes cut in it for 40 quid! Then I thought, hang on, I could do that much cheaper. I just need it to protect my skin from the mask so I borrowed a cotton face mask from my sister and she cut two holes for nose and mouth, clipped it over my ears then put the F30 over it. Works fine. You can get them for 1 or 2 quid and they are washable. Give it a try. Also found that the mask slips forward and so doesn't stay firmly on the nose, especially a problem when sleeping. Bought some large velcro cable ties and connected the front and back headstraps, tightened it to a secure and comfortable position and it works fine and stays in position through the night. Great to be able to use the F30 as it is the most comfortable and the full face one brings out a nasty rash on my nose.

I just started using the F30i. It is so very comfortable but I am having a seal problem.
I followed the recommendation to fit my mask during the day and assess it in my normal sleep positions. I thought I found a good fit. However, what size find is my fit is good during the ramp phase but sometime during the night I loose my seal. I try reseating the mask and tightening the straps but end up holding it on place. Eventually that leads to taking off the mask.

The cushion does come apart from the frame and headgear. In my use, the front vent holes on the cushion are much noisier than the F30, even when nothing is near it. I find the 4 different sizes of cushion available a good thing as there is a higher chance of finding a good fit, compared to only 2 sizes available for the F30.

Resmed site shows 0/20 for seal but very low Events at 0.4 I find the medium mask is smaller then the F30 mask and has less area to cover the nasal area. I usually wash the cushion everyday n just wipe with anti bacterial wipes for the frame. So I don't recommend it for long term due to that small "hinge" design. Sorry I'm late to the party. I usually check your reviews before buying new masks.
What's the difference between this mask and the Dreamwear full face mask?
I've been using the Dreamwear mask for 4 years and am very satisfied.

Just picked up my first CPAP machine yesterday and it's the ResMed AirSense 11 Autoset with the full face mask I guess but I'm not sure if I like it or they gave me the right size. Seems small to me. Thinking that I'd much rather have the one that's for the nose or the one that covers the whole nose and mouth.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean about the headgear and mask being all one piece. But I separate my headgear exactly from my mask at the two attachment points on both sides of the mask to give it a bath all the time at set both while still apart in my Hurricane Dryer. Put them back together easy peasy.

Helpful info, thank you! I've tried both the F30i and the Respironics Dreamwear equivalent. Found that Dreamwear had two relatively hard, pointy silicon nodules around the face mask tube entry points, which would painfully dig into my face and create small red marks by morning. Dreamwear's top connector's really easy to push into its headband, and if that happens, the mask will hiss/roar in your ears. The F30i, in comparison, does not seem to be digging its hard plastic tube-to-mask connectors into my face, but the mask seal itself tends to dig its edge into the face unless one flexes cheeks to sides to re-seat the silicon. FYI the F30 I tried was far worse wrt face sealing and proved impossible to seat without leaking / "flatulating".

What happens when you're on your side? Squishing that soft tubing? The sleep Center that set me up with a mask with a front tube didn't recommend the style of mask you're showing with the soft silicone saying that when you're on your side you pinch the flow off. I felt like it probably wouldn't matter as I only have one hose in the front now with the nasal mask. I'm assuming that the flow just goes through the one side, but does it affect performance at all or is there something that prevents it from fully collapsing when you're on your side?

You actually never turned the inside portion to the camera lens. A few questions: if you open your mouth during sleep does the pressure equalize or does it come out of your mouth, what is it like to sleep on your side with the tube against your skin (hot, cold, pressure rise or depres…, sweaty), how can one return a medical device that you’ve opened or put on your face?
    Thanks for the video.

I can't lie on my side with this mask. When I do, it starts leaking at the tip of my nose. I also feel like I am fighting to get enough air through my nose regardless of sleep position. I was a medium with F20 and they assumed medium in this F30i. I had high hopes for this mask because I am tired of a sore red nose bridge every morning.

My favorite as far as sleeping comfort is the nasal cup N20, but it causes gums issues on the gums under my nose. The pillows P10 are also comfortable, but the thin strap can come loose and it doesn’t allow for enough air to flow, so I don’t sleep as deep or as long. The P10 can be lying on the bed without me blowing air and the CPAP shows a good fit??? So, I’m stuck with the full face F20 mask, which is not too bad as far as comfort, and one benefit is that it works when my nose is clogged up during allergy season or when I have a cold. The bad news is that it can leak if I turn my head wrong and my wife will wake me and it can blow a hefty stream of air. The deepest sleep that I get is with a full face mask. I can tell after a one night back on the full face mask that I was in a much deeper sleep and I don’t wake up at 5 am for no reason. So, the bulky full face does a better job for the reason that I use a CPAP. I keep trying new masks but I end out back with the Fighter Pilot look.

Just got one. I have a tough time getting it to stop leaking at the top around the nose when I put it on at night and when I get it to stop leaking it seems to be too tight and very uncomfortable across the nose. I love that the hose is on top of my head and I can wear glasses with it on. I had a caregiver come out from "Aeroflow Sleep" and fit me, but he did a lousy job. he wants me to wear it for 2 weeks before anything else. I'm not happy with that.

I love your videos and find them extremely helpful. I am new to this mask and on three different nights it felt like the mask was leaking and I had to take it off and return to my P30i. On one night, it didn't feel like it was leaking and I kept it on all night. I did go to an appt with the equipment specialist who fitted it for me and said it was correct. So....could you please point me to any links for videos where you talk about mask leak or leaks in general? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. But with this mask if I move my face at all, I get these....well, fart-like noises coming out of the mask, which I'm assuming are leaks. To further confuse things, MyAir is telling me I'm getting a good seal. Any help would be appreciated. And, yes, I'm going to go join your forum. 😁😁Thanks for everything you do!

I use the F30 medium and love it but the front connection does get in the way of flipping over sometimes. My cabeza (and schnoz) is big like Jason's so medium is likely good; BUT, my F30 is so quiet and my wife doesn't catch a breeze. I'm afraid the pillow separator would be back in place with the F30i. (Think a covid shield between us).

I have a small steady leak at the bose at one side blowing right at my eye.
What is the way to stop that. I was sized at my doctor. The tech tested at full pressure. We did not hear but at home it is annoyingly small stream .
I have tried tightening but not stopping as it is at the top of nose.
If it wasn't blowing at my eye, I wouldn't mind the tiny leak compared to FP Evora nasal Which their vent ports blew into my eyes but I couldn't use it on my side as it kept opening up and she thought my nose shape really didn't suit the Evora. But that one really seemed to dry out my eyes making them feel puffy. So I'm a little more sensitive to this new one leaking already. Any tips?

Thanks so much for this video. Got this mask recently as a backup when my nose is too stuffy for my n30i nose mask. They didn’t fit me for the F30i since they only had one sample, and that must be why it leaks. Standard size headgear must be too large. I’ll try getting small one instead. I feel cold are on my neck and why I move my mouth I feel feel leak happening under chin and sometimes on the side. Second question the nose cushion part is supposed to be flat against my nose? I can kind of feel the top part of cushion. I wonder if this means I for wrong size. I got a small with standard headgear. Thank you for your time .

Think this mask is the one for me, I like that it has large breathing holes if the power goes out or something. Thanks as always for the great videos. Doc said he wants me to start off with a Apap machine. He likes the features and the machines with the Resmed line so he is writing the script for a resmed apap with cellular link so he can monitor my use, I have a feeling that is more so he can Bill my insurance for monitoring. I just started with FP Evora nasal And don't feel like I'm able to exhale as fast as I would like. I just don't see how with air rushing towards me. It's going to exhale all the CO2 out before I breathe in again.

Also I noticed some condensation, my humidity is set at 5 because my last mask the F20 was at 4 but was causing me too much nasal and throat dryness and yes I changed the mask setting on the machine to a full face mask.

Kinda wondering if this is my unicorn? I'm new to Cpap and wonder how many times I will ask that question./. I have a narrow face, and the dreamwear leaks on the sides of my face, if I don't allow my mouth to give me chipmonk cheeks. I was lucky and caught you said in a different video it's better for a more narrow face. I am only at a week, but the air leaking I have is horrible even after calling my provider, time to ask for this mask. Wonder if I would know about all of this if I didn't follow the lanky (who I still think is short).

I'm the opposite of Nicolas. My DW FFM leaks like crazy, I hold it down with a headband; but my F30i is great. Also, I prefer the DW nasal to the N30i. Above all, I love the P30i, except the headgear bugs me, but not a deal breaker. I like the shape of the F30i, it works better for my face, I guess- chipmunk cheeks, small chin.
