I had a similar thing like Rexxon crash, but in Sonic 3 and Knuckles: I believe being Super Sonic in Launch Base Act 2 and hitting a spring too fast might’ve caused the same thing you described. But I also think my Genesis was telling me to let it rest, lol.
Ok, so the reason I couldn't do the new slope glitch featured in the Speedrun clip is because its ONLY POSSIBLE on the SONIC CLASSICS version of the game. Which I plan to do a follow up video on. The glitch where you float on the totem poles works if you and Tails switch rolls.
It will work in every way. In O.O.Z get hit as you get in the ball, SONIC WILL FLY EVERY SINGLE YOU PUSH AFTER A SLOPE! Any ways that is how you do it.

I don't remember ever encountering any glitches when I was a wee lad, but I wasn't very good at the game either. Instead of rolling off the top platforms before the rides, you jump on the second ride, spindash at a certain time when on the ride, and angle it perfectly to hit the rexon. as soon as you hit the rexon, you will launch up into the rings above the part after the rides which will slow down your game for a second. It doesn't crash the game yet, as you have to make it to the boss at the end of the stage, and jump on it till he shoots his lava gun which will mess up the sprites and crash your game. This glitch is done at the same spot as the first rexon glitch you showed in hill top

There is a glitch in AR1 where if you spindash right on the corner of the spring next to the 1st ring monitor, you will go into the ground. Spindash one more time and you will fall to your death. I am pretty sure it will only work on the Genesis/MegaDrive.
Guys I know a glitch. It works for all zones and only on mobile so when u got debug mode and get 50 rings and run and turn super and pause the game many times sonic will turn super but his spines are normal
you missed a very anoying one in mystic cave (I can't remember if it's in act 1 or 2) but there is a bridge that you must pull a vine lever to lower, but if you don't wait the full bridge animation to finish, you will simply pass through the bridge. The sad thing about it, it is not a bottomless pit under it, there are spikes, so if you are super sonic, you will have to wait your ring count to deplete before dying from it.
@@oosha2000 yeah. the developers of the remakes were kind enough to put a little secret there instead of the annoying original troll that it was back in the days... But believe me... I fell far too often there on the original to not remember that specific pit. Nowaday, you are rewarded for it instead of being punished. 90s were tough ^_^
@@MirainoHikari actually that entrance WAS the secret entrance to the hidden palace zone but it was scrapped so they replaced it with spikes. if you do the level select and debug mode, the level for it still there but it is badly glitched (thats where debug mode comes in to help you navigate through it).
There is another glitch you missed in Aquatic Ruin Zone Act 1: When you start the level, play the level like normal, take the top path to the first Loop de Loop, and then touch the first lamp post you see. After that, you are going to purposely lose a life and when you have done that, you will start at that first lamp post you touched. Everything normal right? Good. NOW here comes the fun part, back track ALL THE WAY to the beginning of the level and all the bushes will start moving backwards very fast as long as you stay at the beginning of the level that is. The longer you stay there, you will see a slight shift of the background, it will be eaten by an olive green background and then the original background will be revealed back to normal again while the bushes are still moving backwards fast. If you start moving forward, the direction of the bushes will change, getting put back to where they originally were and that olive green background will reappear again as everything is being put back into their original place. This glitch works with every version of Sonic 2 except the Christian Whitehead IOS/Android version. @SexySockpuppet
Awsome love sonic 2 a lot I've been playing it agian recently forgot how awsome it is acutally I have a boxed copy of the game itself with the instruction manual as well and wow the game still looks absolutely gorgeous and beautiful heres hoping that I continue to keep on playing the game in the forseeablie future
@Sexy Sockpuppet there’s a glitch to cover. If you go into debug mode, which there’s a bunch of videos about, if you die, Press be before you go off screen. Here you have two options. If you decide to press A, The game will crash. there are also variants of sound you can get. Depending on where you are or which item you placed in. If you press B, you won’t lose a life, you will still be there, but all enemies on screen will stop moving. This happened to me whenever I was playing around in debug mode. Let me know if you have questions.
i found another bug! using debug mode, if you die of touching the very bottom of the stage, go in to debug mode while sonic is in his death sprite, and place any object half underwater, the game will crash really hard. for some reason this works in oil ocean too, however, there is no color corruption and the music still plays.

Not really, it just lets you unlock it. It’s quite difficult, and it doesn’t really count
Because some super sonic sprites in 2player mode isn't fucked up is because sonic and super sonic SHARE some sprites
