Every time I watch one of your turnings, I am in awe of how you figure out what to put where and get the design to exist. This takes so much time... days, possibly weeks... to get ready for the turning and then it takes a long time to turn as well. When you're finished... well, I have not yet seen any vase or urn that I didn't love. Each is unique and fascinating and beautiful. Yes, even the ones that don't quite align. ♥
Accustomed to the quality of the work always being perfect and very well aligned, it took me a while to get used to and like this piece where the lines have a break in continuity. It's strange but very beautiful.
I have long given up to try and understand how you put everything together. It gives me a headache to try and follow you. You are a wizard and your designs are stunning.
That was VERY innovative! The glue-up was impressive, but turning the "rings" (what would normally be the SEGMENTED rings) as a complete unit, and THEN hollowing each one out to as the actual glue-up of the rings was accomplished...WOW! I'm ALWAYS impressed...always. Although, I probably would have found really cheap sandpaper sheets to glue to the tops and bottoms of each ring so that when you put it all together on the lathe (to turn the outside shape) it would have resisted spinning better. But that's only cause I'm not all that brave and trusting.
Once again, a beautiful design. The very thin layer almost gets lost, it is between the dark and light woods in balue so lacks some of the contrast that would make it stand out. I wonder how this wood pattern would look if the thin layer was your darkest shade, sandwiched between your lightest wood and a contrasting color, eg, ebony for the thin layer, a light maple for the main color, and a very red or yellow for the third wood.
Even with the minor slippage of alignments, this is a gorgeous woven piece. Love how the stripes become circular on the outside. The more I look at the whole, the less I care about those alignments! Fantastic work brother & as always thanks for sharing your process!!! 🙏

One thing i keep wondering while watching your videos is if you plan out your patterns ahead of time and if so do you draw them out or use some sort of software to help plan it?
I think you can skip the first part. These patterns have to ge well planned. They are far too complex to be created on the fly. I'd be willing to bet the answer to the second question is that he draws them out.
If you did true segmented woodturning your patterns would turn out and the finished product would look amazing. Your approach creates inconsistencies the entire process.
I think Mayuko is single-handedly keeping that glue company in business. He should try to get them as a sponsor. Very nice work.
That's a good idea, I should see if they are interested in sponsorship. Thank you! 🙏🙏
And rubber bands
Your patience with glue up is extraordinary.

that's a great idea, i'd like to try it too by fixing the errors on the less than perfect line alignment, thanks for the input 🙏🙏
Incredibly gorgeous piece, like always!
What a great piece of work absolutely gorgeous

Impressive work indeed ...
Thank you 🙏🙏
Always love your work. This one was too busy for my liking but I will always appreciate the effort you put into your workings. Keep them coming.
Thank you for your feedback! 🙏🙏
Minucioso trabajo previo para lograr una pieza preciosa!!!!
I hadn't noticed at first that some of the elements were "woven". What an amazing and complex piece! Spectacular!
Thank you so much 🙏🙏
As always absolutely amazing work
@@LuannYoumans-ec5fc thank you 🙏🙏
Beautiful Piece and interesting process. Full View and Like 👍
👏👏👏 Que cuencos más maravillosos haces.
So much work! It's too bad not all the stripes lined up.
It is difficult to get them perfectly aligned due to the thickness of the wood and the angle of the cuts.

(MAINLY SPEAKING TO DISPARITIES IN THICKNESS SO YOU POSSIBLY COULD GET THEM ALL THE SAME WIDTHS OR MORE OR LESS THE SAME WIDTHS BUDDY)
molto bello bravo maestro
Thank you 🙏🙏
A bit late today, sorry...
As always I love your work and your creativity 💚
@@renater.540 Thank you very much for always appreciating my work. 🙏🙏
Very cool. Beautiful
Thanks 🙏🙏
Nice🎉
Thanks 🙏🙏
Marvelous!
Thanks 🙏🙏
An interesting piece to be sure... I would say this one is conventionally unconventional. 🦓
I think is a good work like the combination of the wood, the only shame is that the stripes don't match but still a nice piece
Muito lindo
Thank you so much 🙏🙏
Thank you.
You're welcome! 🙏🙏
Really nice work Sir. Could I please have your miss alignments and off cuts Please
If there are still any, I will definitely give them to you, but I have already made another work

Quero o meu, manda via correio ok!!
That must have taken you weeks.
The lines not matching irritates me.
This is pure madness. Stop before you out do us all.
Hafif kaymalar a rağmen. Muhteşem.
Infelizmente Mayuko o alinhamento ficou a desejar, mas a peça ficou top! 👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷
