They said in an interview, that Elsa was supposed to be a villain (because Frozen was adapted from Hans Christian Andersen’s Anna and the Snow Queen, the snow queen was a villain) but once they showed Let It Go to the directors, they decided to rewrite the whole movie. Kristen & Bobby Lopez was actually credited in the story development in the credits for Frozen 2. Can’t thank them enough for all the beautiful music.
That is rather interesting. What made the original movie engaging, at least to an adult, was the obvious aggression, boiling under the surface in Elsa. Not typical for a Disney protagonist. otherwise, I was slightly put off by the obvious 80' rock opera vibe in Frozen 2 song choices, my wife loved it, but that is maybe me, but I didn't find the songs as engaging or beautiful this time around, but I've always been the biggest Sound of Music fan in my family!

I *like* the animation but I would not have fallen *really in love* with either movie just for the animation alone. Yeah, I cried during this scene both times watching it in the theater. This song is so freaking epic and beautiful. It is an incredible wake up and realization song too. It's easier for me to sing Into the Unknown cause I've already been there and done that, so it's not as emotional, but holy crap, just listening to this song is triggering, in a great a way.

I think you could sing them both outside of the film and not understand the context. Into the unknown doesn’t make sense bc you don’t really get the voices. Show yourself doesn’t really click until you see all the memories and hear iduna singing to Elsa. At least for me anyways. I can listen to show yourself all the time and I’m fine but when I see it in the film I bawl my eyes out!!

I realized that in All is Found, when Iduna says "Where the North wind meets the sea, there's a mother full of memory," she's talking about herself. Especially if you've seen the movie now, you know her backstory, and how she's that "mother full of memory."
I love the first frozen but I think the sequel completely surpassed the first film. It’s just so in depth and beautiful. It hits me so much harder than the first film. And I’m a person who usually hates sequels!!

Oscars are Academy members voted, so .... unless they manage to create a "Meryl phenomenon", it's hard to get the members to vote for another great performance, when there's strong competition. One Oscar is an achievement, but more than that is the realm of the fantastic.

Cats may be nominated but that film still hasn’t been seen by voters yet. It’s a good chance lion king (2019) won’t be nominated for anything at the Oscars though.

Imagine if Disney could collaborate with the creators of Astro Boy (Mighty Atom) to infuse some of that futuristic vibe into their next soundtrack. I listened to the ost especially Into the Unknown & Show Yourself before the movie was released in theaters. But when I saw the scene of Show Yourself it made me weep. Because I did not see that coming. Believe me or not, you can totally feel the meaning of the song into the unknown & show yourself when you see the movie.
Their lullaby song is actually written in an incredibly simple way, so how come it's *also* so complex I can just barely learn to sing it? Very beautiful song. Eerie. Shivers. ❄️❄️❄️
I absolutely LOVE "All Is Found" and "Show Yourself". I always cry when I hear these two songs... they are just so beautiful and touching. I felt like an idiot when I saw the movie in the cinema, because I started crying during "All Is Found" (5 minutes into the movie)! lol
I love every songs in Frozen 2, but my most favorite is Into the Unknown. I like it because in the first half, you hear that "the voice" sings the same tune over and over again, yet, in the last part, when Elsa starts to embrace the idea of walking into the unknown, the voice and Elsa both sing in tune, creating a melody that literally gave me goosebumps when I watched it in the theater..
My favorite was when Olaf was singing this will all make sense when I get older and he calls for Samantha even though Samantha isn’t an actual character the whole theater was laughing
I love all those songs and yes it’s hard to pick a favourite but I love love love show yourself. It’s absolutely amazing. Tue fist time I saw the movie I couldn’t stop crying.

Robert and Kristen are excellent songwriters! All of these songs are so beautiful, especially Show Yourself. I really want to transpose it down into a different key that fits my range, and then learn how to play it on the piano.

I listened to the ost especially Into the Unknown & Show Yourself before the movie was released in theaters. But when I saw the scene of Show Yourself it made me weep. Because I did not see that coming. Believe me or not, you can totally feel the meaning of the song into the unknown & show yourself when you see the movie.

I absolutely LOVE "All Is Found" and "Show Yourself". I always cry when I hear these two songs... they are just so beautiful and touching. I felt like an idiot when I saw the movie in the cinema, because I started crying during "All Is Found" (5 minutes into the movie)! lol

All Is Found is my favorite song of them all. The Kacey Musgrave version is so beautiful, I can't stop listening to it.
I love every songs in Frozen 2, but my most favorite is Into the Unknown. I like it because in the first half, you hear that "the voice" sings the same tune over and over again, yet, in the last part, when Elsa starts to embrace the idea of walking into the unknown, the voice and Elsa both sing in tune, creating a melody that literally gave me goosebumps when I watched it in the theater..
My wish would be for Kristen Andersen-Lopez would be to play Elsa on Broadway. She really is an amazing singer.
The Kulning is used by Ancient Norwegians to connect with each other about danger or anything similar and it is a great tradition to do
My favorite was when Olaf was singing this will all make sense when I get older and he calls for Samantha even though Samantha isn’t an actual character the whole theater was laughing
