YAAAAASSSSS! I'm 36 and bento box lunches are perfect for work, picnics, hiding in the car eating lunch because you don't want to eat at a greasy fast food place, but you still have too many errands to just go home. 😆
KingKoopa01.....AGREED! I’m so blessed, in that I got to meet them, and hang out with them both, a couple of years ago. They are as genuinely kind and caring in person, as they are on video! I adore them! This is why I call them “my brothers.” ☺️
Hey Shinichi-san and Satoshi-san! Super excited and happy to collaborate with you guys again! Satoshi-san, I love your enoki mushroom tip on using the bottom. 捨てちゃ勿体無いですよね。勉強になりました。Your hambagu bento looks delicious and my family would love this! xo
Just One Cookbook.....🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️ Nami San! I cannot wait to head over to see what you’ve created on this collaboration! I literally have Tabieats, you, and (Shinichi) no okasama to thank, for helping me to learn how to make nihon shoku. I was so lost, especially for Osechi Ryori, so thank you all! ❤️❤️❤️
Is part of the reason why Satoshi's glasses are always crooked because one ear is HIGHER than the other? I used to wonder if my sunglasses were crooked, or if it were ME, and it turns out to be the latter. My left ear is about 2 - 3 mm lower, so on one pair, I wrapped the arm w/ some duct tape, just in the area where it sits over my ear.
Dawn a calm kitty - I don’t think it was a mean-spirited comment. We all find Satoshi to be adorable and endearing, and my sense is that the comment was delivered respectfully. It just needed to be pointed out because when one cares, one tells others things like, “you’ve got something in your teeth,” or “you’ve got some toilet paper on your shoe,” or “did you know that your glasses are crooked?” I know I’d want someone to point it out. I once had a job where I went to the bank daily to deposit checks, and because the bank tellers were familiar with me, a couple of the ladies felt comfortable saying to me (in nearly identical comments, at separate visits) that they thought I was pretty, but that I was too pale...lol. I wasn’t at all insulted, and I appreciated their honesty and that they cared enough to want me to look my best (since it was something actionable, on my part). Similarly, Satoshi could also straighten out his glasses, so rather than have him walk around looking “disheveled” from the neck up, it’s better to point it out so he could also look his best. He’s got great taste in fashion (hat & glasses are always cute, so accessory game is strong), which means he’d probably want to know that his glasses aren’t sitting on his face right, since he probably cares about presenting well.
I love how you show how to use ingredients within reason. You often see recipes made for 4 or more people (a family) but I think most working people, you’re aiming for two portions (for you and someone else). I really enjoyed this video because you don’t see this style of cooking that often.
Hello Shinichi-san and Satoshi-san, Thank you for inviting and including me in this challenge. It was fun to challenge ourselves to make #3DollarBento. Hamburg is my favourite bento menu item too and yours looks delicious!
Oh man! Im totally going to make this for my room mate's work lunch. She'll love it. I even have that Omelet maker! I got it on my trip to japan this past christmas specifically because I saw it on your videos and wanted one so bad! I'll probably use minced up button mushrooms instead of the kind you used for the Hamburg though since its much cheaper here and we already have a bunch in the fridge but I LOVE how you show how to use what is considered waste of a product. I adore cutting down on food waste. Thanks for sharing and Im excited to go binge watch all the other videos people did for this challenge.
My mom's HAMBURGER RECIPE is amazing! She adds a lot shredded carrot and some shredded onion, plus a beated egg, salt and I think a Knorr vegetable cube. It all adds a lot of flavour to the beef but you don't feel like you are eating carrot at all lol They are addicting.
Wow I really appreciate, that you’ve put all the work into this video. The fact alone, that you’ve calculated everything even the spices... that’s incredible 😍
I love bentos which are fast and easy. It’s perfect for my son’s school lunch. Fast, easy yet yummy is very important for me who also takes care of a 9-month old son while prepping my first son for school every morning. I love collecting gadgets which can be useful in my kitchen too. High five, Satoshi! Daiso makes life easier. My husband can leave me in Daiso and return in 2 hours and I’m still not done lol. OMG! I never knew that the base of enoki is edible!!! I used to always throw that. Thank you so much for letting me know. You guys are sooooo adorable, I swear. Everything you prepare is surely delicious! I’m grateful that your channel exists. Life is more beautiful and easier with TabiEats.
Thank you gentlemen. I have been a chef for most of my life. Your channel provides wonderful inspiration to add even more creativity to my repetoire. Fabulous to see you in the kitchen! I live on South shore of Long Island, NY. We have many farms, some with a long history, so food stands abound. Stay safe. Great channel🍷🍴🍜
Hi Shinichi-san and Satoshi-san! For the grated carrots, go to a fabric store. Ask the clerk for cheesecloth. They probably won't sell you less than a yard (3Feet). You can cut to your liking and gift to friends. Add carrots or cucumbers or cottage cheese or whatever and squeeze out water by twisting tight. Great video.
Beautiful bento! Three different onigiri...my jaw dropped! It's absolutely magical how you got everything to fit so perfectly in the box. Love the video. Love the tips. Awesome job guys!
This is hilarious I work in a Daiso in America so I can legit get the gadgets after my next shift lmao. I haven't tried the yukari but I will. I also love that the food is easy to make and I can make this into a family activity with my siblings too! Thanks for the video!
Me too Satoshi-San! I’m obsessed with Daiso! I’m driving a couple of hours tomorrow to go to the one in Houston, TX. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu! Love you guys😘🙋🏻♀️!!
Heh, I am 33 and I am just getting into making bento boxes. Actually trying to get into making 4 or 5 smaller meals a day and since I work in a deli (basically it is just fast good place) i am constantly hungry so these kinda things are really helpful to not spend a ton of money.
4 March 2019, Palermo, Sicily. After watching dozens of UA-cam videos on Japan I am starting to think that perhaps Japan is the top country of the World where you can find fantastic food in all shapes and colours everywhere and at every hour of the day and night: bentos, sandwiches, ramen, fastfood restaurants, vending machines, standard restaurants, street vendors...And it always looks good and tasty. And probably hygienicallly clena and safe too.
We have $1.00 stores in the states, it makes to have 100 Yen stores in Japan. My son is an Asian Cultures Student. It was his ides for me to make bento boxes for my lunches at school. I like it! I love the microwave omelet box’. We need them here. I will have to take your challenge! Arigato.!
I saved your bento video for last. They were all great with wonderful ideas, but yours I will actually use soon. Love the enoki mushroom "stems" in the hambagu patty - great idea! Now, that cute bento box! I love it! This bento was so colorful and delicious looking and using the Daison 100 yen store gadgets added to the fun watching this. Good thing I only have access to Daiso every couple of years - thank you!
Those gadgets! Usually, they're just fun to watch, but this one looks really useful. I agree with Satoshi that it is very useful to be able to do one side dish in the microwave when preparing a bento to save time. However, I have never seen a microwave egg gadget here in Germany! Would you consider trading one for something from over here? :D
I actually bought one after I saw this, and it's really convenient for a lazy, single person like myself for breakfast, bento, or just to make a quick healthy snack!
I ordered a Bento box, some accessories and Furikake just this morning. I feel so inspired by everyone's videos to try packing Bento for my work lunches. I have a question about the carrot preparation - how long will it keep?
OMG guys! I LOVE this video! ❤️What an amazing bento and so budget friendly, too! I could definitely see myself making this and doing it as a meal prep for my family. I wish I had the cute Daiso gadgets to make it look pretty, but I could use a sectioned meal prep container or cute silicone cupcake wrappers in my regular containers. Oh I can’t wait to make this! Please make more recipes! Maybe some low carb bentos?? 🤷🏽♀️ Any and all suggestions would be fabulous since you both are amazing! PS: I love seeing you guys cooking in your kitchen. Your chemistry is infectious. I ❤️ you both! 😁
Your cute bentoboxes are way better than our boring lunches in Norway, haha! We usually have bread with butter and brown cheese or something like that!
Satoshi perilla leaves would grow wonderfully where you have your little garden. All they need is some sun and water and they will grow 5 feet tall with a very big leaves!

“It’s not expensive, watch me” Satoshi 😂💜
The way Satoshi-San talks is SO adorable! ❤️

so cute. just makes me smile!
We need a online Daiso that ships internationally
Try AliExpress for some of these gadgets they ship internationally
