Benholms Lodge didn’t stand at Carnegies Brae it was close but your location is inaccurate. The Lodge stood at roughly where Marks and Spencer’s back door is now.

During WW2 my Granny with my Mum and siblings used to shelter in Carnegies Brae from German bombing. She used to call it “the Creepy” due of course to its dark scary atmosphere.
