- New Peterbilt 367 Tandem with Langfab Dump box with high lift gate. We ordered this chassis for stock to be heavy enough to go logging while still being able to be made into a dump truck. After a few months in inventory it was time to put a box on. Needless to say it sold as soon as we commited it to a box. a big thank you to Langfab for another great looking Rigout.
I was bagged making this video at the end of the day last Friday. Note to self, make videos in the AM when I'm full of piss and vinegar.
thanks for watching.

Another great video Mike.🙂👍👌
Great spec on that truck!
Nice looking truck, first time I've seen the plywood inserts. I'm a fan of the Johnson lever on the column, and Jake on/off switch on the RH side of the shifter, just below the top knob assembly. If a multi-stage Jake, that selector on the dash within easy reach.
Cool truck thanks
Beautiful truck
Nice truck 👍
Oh yeah. Nice truck
Nice truck .
It’s hard to get though peoples head to put it in gear before engaging PTO. Great video!
Why do we need to put truck in gear to put on PTO? I have never heard of that
I was trained to put in neutral
I have that same truck but spec for me. Just getting used to it. Not a fan of the auto in mine but hard to find drivers so having an auto does help on that front. I like the layout and its a nice truck to drive.
Nice truck
I've got a tri axle up here in Canada with the same spec. Same cab and motor setup. The things a beast, although I'm not a big fan of the 18 autostart tranny.
Peterbilt makes the best dump trucks
Dump trucks rock!
I loved the old west coast mirrors with the built in marker light.
Nice!
Hey Mike is CumminsX15 more preferred n order more in the Peterbilt 389 then the Paccar engines n nice dumb truck
That looks like a 15 foot box doesn't look like a 16'6 box. Nice looking truck I see somebody in my area bought a new Pete dump looked like a 567. I drive bin trucks never have to worry about getting stuff stuck in gates. The biggest stump I've hauled is probably close to 6 tons on it was all a 200 Hitachi could pick.
Wow!
Mike, how do they remove tipper to convert it into tractor?
Here we have something called the Wechselsystem, there are different forms of them, full hydraulic, semi hydraulic, one that use airbags to lift and manual locks, one that require forklift...
But usually takes 10 min to convert a truck from tractor to tipper, or whatever You want. For mixer it takes bit more to connect driveshaft to the engine PTO.
they don't, at least not easliy and not without a ton of work. these are purpose built as dump only, not multi-use. afaik. It has pintle hitch so you could pull another dump body or even a short flat deck.
They will remove the tipping pins and unbolt the cylinder mount
@@mikethetrucknut thanks, how do they plan to mount fifthwheel? Is it possible to fit it below tipper body or has to be removed?
Nice truck. 👍
If you don’t mind me asking a generic question, why do all dump trucks in BC (and possibly elsewhere) have those wooden inserts on top of the side walls to extend the bed height? Why not make the bed that tall to begin with? Or use metal (as for the rest of the box)?
It’s so that when machines load the box and inevitably hit the top rail it isn’t permanently damaged and can be replaced easier and more cost effective than steel.
I run boards like that because its easier to get 22 tons of gravel on without it spilling out the sides of the box.
Are new Pete's reliable? How is the warranty support??? Do they fight you or stand behind the product?
Buying first dumptruck and love the truck in your vid👍
They are, I have new customers to Peterbilt that wonder why they waited so long to get a Peterbilt.
I’d like one but I can back all around any dumpsite with my 567 and can attest that IMO the peterbilts suspension is hands down the best for ride and traction. I gotta admit that even being an old school manual transmission or nothing guy.(pulp hauler since 18-speeds weren’t there)
So coming from a background where 18-speed fullers are the only and perhaps the best transmission ever built for heavy hauling and whereupon seeing the ultramatic 18 in my new truck almost made me sick with revulsion and “what the hell will the guys say?” shame, lol. I’m not lying when I thought this is gonna be pathetic! But honestly without any bullshit after mastering this technology just as I had to eventually master my first paying gig driving truck which was the revered 5 and 4 backing up gas job power plant.
I’m not gonna lie, my Nick name could’ve been crunchy back in 87 but same as then, the product had to be moved from point A to point B.
After two years, two winters, honestly boys this transmission is fantastic. Remember shifting basics , tachometer and same as the five and four, it’s all in the fuel pedal. 👊🏾🤘🏾
Adapt and conquer
Felicidades Amigo por su sinceridad y recuerda lo mejor es ser leal
The only reason for 565 is? For hauling sand an gravel. Am i missing something or do they need that for logs? 430 was enough at one time.
Mack is a great dump truck.
Hardox is actually lighter than mild steel in the same thickness
Great news an ya peace
Was that plywood to keep the sides from getting dented up?
Plywood liners are common here on the West Coast yes its to give some protection against dents. Here on the coast we have large rock that is sharp edges it can do nasty damage to a dump box. Up in Northern BC where Mike is they probably don't haul blasted rock like we do.
Hi Mike,
Did you say the customer will be removing the bed as needed to haul logs?!?!
Yeah he hasn't done that yet. But...
accoutrement
noun: accoutrement;
an additional item of dress or equipment.
Being a Ex Logger. Hand Valve on the column, Jake on the dash.
What the benefice to have double steering box? rarely see this in my province even on construction or heavy specs trucks here, thank
you can turn on asphalt with wide base tires
Back when I ordered my 379, dual boxes were heavier and more expensive, so I went with the single box with assist cylinder on the right side. Recently rebuilt the steering, box was $1400 and assist cyl. was $2000(alot of money for a cyl that only goes in and out). Never had any turning issues even when stopped and I run 315-80R22.5 steer tires.
Interesante reporte y completo mis felicitaciones 👌 y bueno pues puedes dar el precio de compra de un volquete de ese tipo modelo 96 al 2000.
En dollars americano.
Para😂📝tener una idea a este tiempo.
What does the unit tare Mike in kg pls
Hey Mike whats the difference between a 367 and 365?
Hood is shorter on a 365
Why we need to put truck in gear to put on PTO?
Never heard that before ..
I thought in neutral??
It stops the counter shafts from spinning. You put it in gear with foot on clutch. Engage pto Then take it out of gear and release clutch
Really
Never knew that
Only Con with this truck is it's not a triaxle. I've been driving truck for 37 yrs. Conpany I worked for had Kw and Pete's I preferred driving the pete
Is this one sold or is it the one that’s sitting in the lot right now?
It is now sold
Hello Mike I need one can haul from 15 to 17 tones asphalt
I would love to have one for the same reason trying to start a business 😢business haul Asphalt I wonder how much for this truck
Whats the price, chief?
what kind of transmission?
18spd ultrashift
If it doesnt say Mack on the front its not a (real) dump truck. Its just a road truck with a dump body.
I think all of people don't realize that regardless if you have the SmartNav or the Navplus, they both have to be updated from time to time.
It could be better if it were red and parked in my driveway
Nice truck but so CRUDE compared to a Scania or a Volvo. Nice american truck though, thanks for sharing.
Hall much this truk
Hay Mike ,go over and. Assist a channel to find a Tri-axle all aluminum wheels and bed dump acces dump truck at Dauminique the dump truck driver,,, on UA-cam,,her husband wrecked her every day drivers moneydump truck, she will be needing a lower priced 60 series or cat powered preferably, ok thanks BigAl California ,…
No sir, that is not the best dump truck ever to everyone. Your opinion of peterbilt is the shit. Is just that Your opinion. most truckers Don't even like a peterbilt. Preferred trucks are usualy Freightliner and International mainly due to overall costs and longevity. a Peterbilt is like a Harley Davidson if you own one you're constantly working on it. FROM new condition. The hell with a Peterbilt.
you must be 12.
@@mikethetrucknut wow the age thing... That's rich .. try again kid.
Thank you for your comments, wish you well.
Go play with some more rc cars
If you’ve ever worked on an International you would not say about preference.
