Even Klopp was not sure when Nunez made that chip over the Goalkeeper, untill Klopp sees the net shaking before He started celeberating Darwin Núñez's goal. I think Núñez tricked all of us inclding the goalkeeper as well.

@3:40 Remember when Alonso scored from inside our own half against Luton in the FA Cup in 2006? When he shot, Gerrard went MENTAL at him! Then when he saw the ball cross the line for a goal, Stevie G started to clap. That's how I reacted to Darwin's chip. It was like slow motion for me. Calling him all names... Then clapping. 😅😅 Bittersweet today. Chuffed with a convincing win at a difficult away game for us... but Diogo going down like that is massive for our title challenge.

Nunez goal made me realize, this man does not care what we think. As much as people clown on him, it takes serious balls to go for a finish like that. His confidence is very much inwards, not what others project on him. It seems that he found his game now, and finally feels like he fits in.
Seen Nunez 1 on 1 with the keeper and am like bury it and he goes for the best chip in his life and will get confidence from that finish.

At 3-0 the commentator said 'game over' but then Brentford scored with 16mins regulation time to go (23mins as it turned out) and I was seriously clenched. Even at 4-1 I'm thinking Row Z everything to run the clock down (TBH at 1-0 I was thinking this!). It was good to see us not settle for 4 and chuffed that JK gets a W away to Brentford before he leaves.
The goalkeeper was stood tall as well and he still managed to get the ball up and over his outstretched arm and down again 😮 it was just epic 😂😂😂 i was also laughing my arse off with joy. YNWA

Yeah he put bottom spin even the GK standing tall with his arm stretched above couldn’t get it. Couldn’t believe when it went under the bar from such short distance.

Darwin's confidence is something to admire. He never, ever once gave up or doubted himself. Unbelievable player, unbelievable goal.

Thought Darwin was going to sky it or hit the crossbar, when he chipped the goalkeeper and scored I started cackling like a witch.
The difference is if nunez plays I expect him to score at least 1 now .Before I hoped he would score...that's 4 in his last 5 and has a goal or assist every 85 min in the league

I purposely searched for this video just to see your reaction to Darwin's goal :D I clasped my hands together in fervent prayer when Jota nodded that to him and he was one on one, but didn't expect THAT!

Perhaps earlier this season, or most of last season, I would have expected him to miss, or for the keeper to save it. I'm definitely in the Nunez "believer" camp and I think he's improved to the point that I fancied him to score. BTW you often make that shrieking, almost maniacal noise when LFC score, Paul ;-)
Gutted about Jota being out however Salah being back and looking back to his best gives me hope. Fingers crossed Nunez is ok. His goal was ahhhhh and then he scored.

Compare and contrast Darwin's relentless positivity no matter what with Haaland after the City v Chelsea game, who was absolutely shattered than he couldn't net a handful of easy opportunities.
