Oh, this video is so different to your other stuff that I've seen - love it! I'm cruising on a 4-nighter on Scarlet later this year from Miami, and am SO excited. This ship looks SO similar to what I saw on Valiant Lady - the finishings are just such high quality!
Hey Fraser! I imagine it is a VERY similiar if not identical feel to Valiant Lady. Did you notice any differences? I wount be able to get on another Virgin ship for a while which bums me out.

Thanks for posting this video. VV is probably my favorite cruise line. I just recently tried MSC and kept comparing it back to Virgin. It may not be for everyone, but it is definitely for me!
Those are two lines I hope to do more in the future! They are very different but each have advantages.

They play all sorts of music! I was really impressed with the variety. All high energy and from the 60s up to 2023.
This was spot on. Bravo! I found the ship choppy myself. However you laid it out perfectly. Spaces around the Wake i had no idea was there. Never realized that the arcade was tucked in the corner either.

Hi Brandon. Yes they’ve changed vendors in the shops. BTW Another great cruise content creator, Lucy (Cruising as Crew) on UA-cam recently left Scarlet Lady as a result as she worked in the shops. 🥲 Loving your tour of Scarlet Lady though.
Hey Del, interestingly, the contract has changed but the store and staff are not changing until end of the month. Imagine they will have some good clearance sales coming up! Seemed most crew at the shops will leave as they really like their company and are good going to another line. I was hoping to meet Lucy too!!! I was disappointed she was not there.

Just off RC symphony , this looks very different . Some parts a bit too dark etc and a bit ferry ish ..Central Park, boardwalk etc on RCC are so good . Lots of good things though on this ship
She is that! My first few times there it took a bit to just learn the layout of the ship. Though, I have come to really appreciate the design elements - just not sure how long they are going to last.

You should have no issues! It is a newer ship and has stabilizers to keep it from rocking. Bring meds just Incase as you never know. I have done almost 150 cruises and less than 5 have been rocky.
Thank you for your excellent tour of VV. Surprisingly, your video helped me realize the cruise line isn’t for me. I find it to be too casual to the point that it looks economy and most of the public areas appear to be too small, crowded with uncomfortable looking furnishings, and dark.

Appears to be designed by people who never stepped foot on a cruise ship. Wasted, underutilized spaces, strange outdoor seating, no shade, small pool, crowded dining areas look claustrophobic. After your love of RCC, I'm surprised that you're a fan. To each his own, but this video definitely helped me avoid making a booking mistake. Thanks!
Hey Jim! Ha, you are VERY correct! They intentionally hired folks who had never worked with ships to design it to try and be "different". I am a fan of the cruise line (adults only, great food) but am with you that the floor plans, pools, and staterooms could be greatly improved. I do love the RCC old ships. :-)
Good tour, VV doesnt appeal to me because Im old fashioned. But one thing I realized is that the ship seems dark and not as open to the sea as other ships. That's my complaint about Oais class ships too. I wonder how the funny rooms working for 2? Did your mom use the hammock?
I have scripted a video where I share mom's thoughts on Virgin Voyages. She would consider herself old fashioned as well. I did convince her to get into the hammock the first night but she was good after that lol

for those grab and go sandwiches, can you grab one and take it off the ship while you're visiting the different stops? Can you take ship towels off the boat to go to the beach, if you bring them back? Thank you.
You sure can!! Only thing that you are not supposed to take off the ship is fruits and vegetables. Some ports will have dogs smelling these out.

What time do they start playing Latin music at Pink Agave?
It is Latin all the time but it turns into more of a dance party vibe at 10pm. You can find it in your app schedule under "Pink Agave After Dark/Hours" or something to that effect.
Last year they had paper maps in your room

No maps! I don't recall paper maps on any of my 3 sailings actually. They do have one on the app too. Just wish they had better directional signs when walking around.
Maybe screenshot your confirmations in case their app crashes.
I would definitly advise this (and I should have done it)! Port Miami also has notoriously bad cell reception.
Is the food included with the price of ticket??
Sure is! All restaurants are included in cruise fare. Some restaurants will have high-end specials you can buy for an additional fee though.
How would this boat be for a solo traveler?
Fantastic! It is a great size allowing you to meet folks or find a quite spot to get away! Virgin also does a great job of catering to the solo crowd with activities and events where you can meet other solo cruisers that are hosted by their entertainment team. There are solo cabins as well to help with cost! Not a full elimination of the single supplement but it helps!
your subject title "...in 4K", what do you mean 4K? Is there live jazz? I don't see any band on the main deck.
Hi there, 4k is referring to the resolution the video was shot in. If you are watching on your home TV, you can view it in 4k high-definition. And to your second question, they do have Live Jazz in the Roundabout too!
Gunbae Korean….the staff will cook the food for you…you don’t have to do it. I suggest opting out of the games,,, Everything on Virgin is environmentally friendly. They encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle
Are 18 year olds able to drink alcohol legally on the ship?
That is a loaded question and varies by cruise line. General rule of thumb, the cruise ship will follow the rules of the country it leaves from. If you are sailing out of a US port, it will be 21 on the ship. If you go to Mexico, they will gladly serve you on land at 18 and even younger. European cruises is where you see more 18+ people drinking on ships.
