Always fun to have the ladies on! 👏🏻 I do have some hot takes about the movie convo. 😉 Saw Oppenheimer & Barbie twice because watched it with my kids at separate times. I enjoyed Oppenheimer much more the second time since I had a better understanding of the characters going into it. Personally, I LOVED Barbie! Having teenage girls, I related so much with the mom character & loved that Barbie very much had her own identity apart from Ken (which I’m wanting to instill in my girls). I thought it was a fun plot to show a man with insecurities & only finding his identity in a relationship (instead of the woman like is so often the Hollywood storyline). Also loved that the storyline was very much “women support women” instead of “women compete against women” or “women must depend on a man to be their hero”. So there is my 2 cents. Lol.
This is by far my favorite shmores topic! Such great convos and learned a lot about these four awesome people!
1000% agree with Brad about wine. And then add the wine snobs that tell you about all the subtle hints of whatever you are supposed to be tasting.

Your boomer vs millennial debate got me thinking about the time when I used to be a cashier at Walgreens when I was 16 and this old guy came in and asked me if we take federal reserve notes and I said we take cash or card and he proceeded to give me a lecture about cash being federal reserve notes and how uneducated the youth of today is and so on and so forth…I’m 29 now and I still think about it sometimes 😅
😂 This cracked me up and I will now be thinking of this every time I pay with cash.😂

As a guy who sweats a lot, I can really relate to Brad on this. People that I work with tell me on a weekly basis that I’m sweating a lot, as if it’s new information to me 😂

I had a professer in college who would say “bolth “ instead of “both” and it drove me nuts. But then she would also say “ahways” instead of “always” and I said the same thing as Brad, she took the l from always and put it in both. Too funny we both had that same thought about someone.

Brad. I had zero interest in watching Lord of the Rings also. However, my oldest 2 kids, who were homeschooled, read the books and loved the movies. My husband was going out of town for a couple of weeks for work, and I decided to watch the movies with them. I loved them. I was shocked. Give it a go.

This episode was such a treasure, always love when the gals are on the pod! I was never a barbie kiddo so I didn’t care to see the movie but I have heard very similar reviews from friends and family who saw it. Truly could not agree more on the fall comment. It’s like Rachel has overheard my annual end of summer sadness rant. Summer lover 4lyfe.

My husband and I went and saw Oppenheimer at 1045 on Saturday night (so we were watching the same time as the Tripletts) and yes very tired 😅 getting out at 2, and then having to wake up early to pick up our children (who stayed at my parents house) to make it to church by 830 😂
Fall is my favorite season, but I live in the South, so I appreciate the cooler weather and lower humidity. :)

I so agree with Fall, leaves are beautiful, but it’s so depressing knowing what’s to come..
So when Jake was talking about the reverse racer back my brain kept thinking he meant the racer back in the front. And I was like 🤔 I don’t think that is going to be ok. Lol until they said reverse stencil I couldn’t figure it out. Lol
Water is definitely different. Dasani actually has sodium in it. And some waters have different minerals. Well water is the best in my opinion but due to the different minerals it tastes different depending where you live. City water for example has chemicals in it sometimes to get rid of the bad stuff. I know I’m totally making your point but this triggered me as someone who drinks nothing but water. Zac Effron had one of his documentary episodes just on water. It was great.
I'm caught up on the pod now and I'm slightly devastated.....I'll figure out how to just watch 2x a week. Looking forward to WINsday 🎉

Yeah Barbie was pretty terrible. But Oppenheimer is worth watching twice because I thought it was OK the first time, but *loved* it the second time when I could actually follow it.

One of the reasons the Marvel movies make so much money is because they are all part of a huge story. Although, after the Infinity Saga, all of the movies have been terrible with a couple exceptions
