Thanks for sharing these videos. I wanted to go but had to cancel due to work. And Germany is brilliant for trade shows! Well organised, well signposted, really good infrastrucrure. You do npt even need to stay in expensive hotels nearby. Just look in the outskirts or even cities nearby for much cheaper. And the train joirney will be quicker than it takes to check the emails after the show. One RANT about FANUC though. I recently bough a used robodrill, because cnc techs like yourself spoke really high of fanuc. Unfortunately i am unable to get any sparws for the robodrill here in UK. And it is pretty much maintenance items: waycover wiper seals - not available, never sold, buy a whole ser of new covers, but those are not available too and never sold them. Thats FANUC UK rep answer. No luck with independent fanuc maintenance tech either. I need some other bits and bobs too. Where is that "legendary" fanic support?! In greek legends?! P.s. If you are able to point me to the difection for waycover wiper seals, i would.much appreciate!
In the first of second EMO video you asked about the future of big trade shows. I was taught that the average cost to get a new customer contact from a trade show was $100, but that was years ago. Some trade shows used to pay for customers to come to the shows so they could wine and dine them to get them to buy something. I do not believe the modern technically difficult process of machine tool selection and accessory selection can function in that old environment. What's more, the total costs of these shows can be redirected into many other more effective forms. Maybe IMTS 2024 will be better next year, maybe not.
