I have hauled 100s of machines over the years. I would be nervous as hell putting that much tongue weight on my 1 ton diesel.
Good to know, thanks boss.
Nightmare for service guy😂
Useful info
Another great video, was watching so guys tram in a umc the other day with a laser measuring system. Could you explain a little more on how the incoders and brakes work?

If you are not familiar ( or machine repair man) and getting started, avoid any old machine it will be just a lot of headache for you at the begining.

I just started getting into machining..I really don't see any value in any of this person's advice. He starts his video's out like a game-show host..and ends with thanking everyone for listening to his advice..WHAT ADVICE?!?
Perfect thank you so much this morning someone left my machine in the home position already so when I started it up and presses the power up it alarmed you save me awesome
Check out “impact screwdriver” for stuck screws. Not same as impact wrench in case you were wondering.
Bro you are an absolute lifesaver. Gonna try this momentarily. I hope you are well my friend.
Man thats great. I worked for 2 cnc dealers but im also a cnc instructor in a one man shop with 3 Haas. Now im looking for a garage machine and your tips are great. I heard you say Kalispell. I visited Flathead Valley college in 2019.
Dam...i cant believe this vids a yr old😢..i hate the algorithm....i love these vids😊❤
@mbox314 Thanks for the feedback! Same thought has been on my mind. Planing to update my intro this year.
Im gonna replace my LCD with a CRT 😎
Opps! thanks
What a great video, let's see if you make a video of the 160 alarm
I plan to!
@cncrepairman Thank you, can you help me remove the alarm from my Haas machine? I got alarm 160 and 123, I changed the voltage on the taps, under the vector drive and it worked, after turning it off and on the alarm came back 😩
thanks for the video and all of your videos
You make look so easy, great video, thank you
What about a 1997 Okuma Cadet V4020?
My boss bought a old fadal and I love run out it the control is great it works good
Not sure how old this machine is but is this effort cost effective? I would be worried that you would spend $100k to rebuild a machine that is ultimately worth $75k. I guess it would make a difference if it is your machine vs a customer project but still seems like a ton of work and parts. Great video nonetheless!
Thank you!
This is a great channel. I have a Hardinge but I feel like 80% is applicable.
One of the important things ya left out, floating it in and then re torquing everything.
And re setting the grid offset... And... And lol Just giving ya crap, man.
Dude AI would absolutely get swept and anyone who disagrees hasn't had in-depth dialogue with Ai about anything machine tool related.
Just did a belt replacement on a 2013 VF4. Copied the haas spindle alignment/lock tool for the umbrella tool holder and made it on the machine before tearing it down. After pulling the outer cosmetic panel and the inner 'air ducting' panel assembly there is tons of room on a conventional direct drive style VF-series mill.
are ngc amplifiers interchangeable? Could a 4th axis amp be used to check the Y axis? DM-2, NGC.
Yes, they can!
@@cncrepairmantrying to order a 45 amp from your website in a few minutes. I ohmed the amp and it was 9ohms between the high voltage dc and similar with one of the motor phases. The cable with motor attached was around 7 ohms on the coils and open circuit with the ground. Feeling confident I swapped an amp from My st-15 lathe. The mill runs fine now on all 4 axis.
😮😮😮
Hello, i have old CNC Lathe built in Yugoslavia (1989y) and recently our machine was on fire! Transformator became super hot and isolation from cables starting burning. We diagnosed now that the transformator is okay, we made simple measurements from transformator and it seems working (transformator comes to one servo drivers amplifier i think from Z Axis). We connected it to the machine, tried to start machine then BOOM, something exploded. Now we are stuck because these servo amplifiers are old and company doesnt exist anymore. If we dont repair this machine we will need to scrap this machine. After some research i suspect now that it might be blowed servo amplifier. I hope this video will help me repair this shit! Thank you! PS. It might be transistor!
What do you think of Fadals? There seems to be a lot for sale and many home users. Plus what phase convertors do you like
I ran and programmed an Hitachi -seki at two different shops I worked at over the years. They were great machines, held tolerances great and we're rigid
FCK,What brands do you recommend. After you named all the ones to stay away from. What's left
Thanks, this has been helpful! I am now trying to find out why my X axis tries to home the wrong way. Y and Z both home ok.
Likely a stuck or bad home switch.
@@cncrepairman@cncrepairman TY! I re-watched and saw what I missed. I will likely need a new switch.
@@PlanetaryIntergalactic Here is a link to our home switch. cncreplacementparts.com/product/roller-switch/
do you know a good gotek expert? i have one of their emulators on my haas at home that works fantastic, but i'm trying to add that to a milltronics at work with zero success
hey show in detailed working of atc spindle
Great videos , thank you
What is the meaning of illegal speed over .. jig Alarm in AKARI
Excellent!
Thank You for the video! I ordered the coupling, pressure switch and pump. Didn't know the pump came with the coupling. Good to have extras on hand for future repairs! I ended up only replacing the pump and coupling. The OEM coupling was totally gone! It literally took longer to remove the spindle covers than it was to install the pump and coupler.
We scraped a 1991 Nicholas correa with a hiedenhiem 415 control. Table had 200in in x and 46 in y and 50 in z. Also the head could index from horizontal to vertical and b + - 90degrees....made us lots of money. But noone could repair it and when it quit it crashed into itself...and that was every time you tried to rapid x axis. It was just to dangerous for anyo ne new to run it. It was soooo jerry rigged with toggle switches and everything 😂😂😂
