I'm determined to like this game, but every game ends in less than two minutes. It doesn't seem difficult to get a fish through. Either people run out of kill cards, or they don't add up to higher than the Fish. According to the rules, you win the whole game if your fish survives? Or is it the round? Do you add up the Fish that survived at the end? So confused.
Yeah i think the best way would be to mod it a little so you have to get so many fish through before winning. Also, we play that if the kill cards are equal, that's also a kill. Not much of a difference, but it is some.
Good video as always. Not many gamers will like this game since it seems to have the worse part of Munchkin front and center. I like the open, no turns, nature of it though. A full review would have to address whether its too simplistic or not
I still don't understand how to play. Does everyone gang up on one player? How does a player track all this when there are no turns? Not sure when to draw cards. Rules seem a bit too loose and non-concrete on what is and is not possible.
Wish I would have read these comments before buying the game. Not well thought out game play and lose interest very quickly. Tried playing a two person game and each time it ended with the first fish played. Have only played it that one time. Others in my family have had the same result. So now it just sits in the game closet collecting dust.
The rules in the game are confusing and kind of contradict themselves, says once your fish dies you put your hand down on the table, but then in the example play player A's fish is killed then immediately plays a kill card on player C, so do they keep playing when you lose a fish or not? Because if you can't play again then there is no point to try to be the first one to play a fish because as soon as you lose you are out and then everyone just sits at a stalemate not wanting to play fish just to be the first one out of the game.
Sydney Pettit if you don't have any kill cards what do you do? Especially if you are just playing with 2 people in total. And if 1 fish survived does that person won?? I not get it. I bought the game it sounded cool. But I don't understand how everything goes
@@superprincessx5 If you don't have kill cards, but you have fish cards, you keep playing that hand. With only two people, you want to win the race of getting your fish out first until you run out and can pick up new cards (7 normally, 10 for 2 player games). If they beat you to playing a fish, they win, because the first person to have a fish swim to freedom (not die) wins, and you don't have anything to kill them. Remember that there aren't really any turns.
@@superprincessx5 because of the way a two player game works, with more luck and speed than strategy, I would recommend doing a first one to x amount of points thing, and just find some way to assign points. Maybe even just best 2 out of 3? That's not part of the rules, just an adaptation I'd recommend for two player games. I hope I cleared that up, let me know if you're still confused on anything. I know I'm not always the best with words. I hope I helped!
There is a small, Canadian company called Family Pastimes. They offer a multitude of Co-operative games. Very reasonable pricepoint. We have a bunch of them. Eyes of the jungle is quite good.
So.. Do I have to play a protection card if I have one or can I choose not to play protection cards and save them for later? Also, can the same player play multiple fish in a row? For example, if my fish just went belly up, can I throw down another fish?
Whats with the draw pile? Its like the hand written rules were done by 5yr olds lol. Not a bad game. Very short tho
I'd buy it. Sounds like a game I can introduce to a party that only want to play CAH and slowly ween them away from another round of CAH : /
CAH?

I have a question how does drawing work?
im trying to figure out the same thing
@@angry_demonn5919 me too, did you figure it out?
I typically draw until I get something I can use
What do you do if you run out of cards?

That is nice!! Great job

I keep forgetting you're a part of the Dice Tower now.... this is gonna take some getting used to.

i bought this game w/o knowing how to play. help.
That sounds fishing awful.
Fish sure!
I don't know, I was hooked by it!
The Rules Girl I like these new rules explanation videos, don't get me wrong. But this game looks plain simple.
Yeah, some of them will be simpler family games. We'll try to alternate between the family games and the meatier ones.
The Rules Girl I'm on board.
How do you draw cards?
When do I get the chance to buy new cards from the pile?
When you run out of fish cards you say flint flush or something like that and discard your entire hand then draw 7 new ones.

Sydney Pettit yes thank you very much. You did help me understand.
I don’t understand this game my son got it as a present
im waiting for a game that the goal of it is not to win

Check out a game called Get it Wrong to win. 👍
I do not understand how to play. My game didn't come with rules

nope you can save them for when you need them and yes you can play another fish after one of yours dies
Amazing video rules girl👍
Can one person play multiple kill cards?
Yes
yeah this game kind of sucks, get a normal deck of cards and just play fish lol
Do you mix all the cards together to deal to each player?
Standard shuffling is needed before each game play and if you run out of draw cards
Wtf not helpful at all!
I still have no idea how to play lmao
Me too lmfao
Wow, this game looks bad.
Yeah looks like something you'd get for free in a happy meal
WTF ;D
This is a terrible game! Great video though. 😜
