If you don’t vet the cards before you send them in don’t be surprised when they come back 6’s and 7’s. I could see in 3 seconds where some major flaws were on the early cards. Why would you not look over cards you’re paying to have graded?
Who has time for that. I pack pull, penny sleeve and card saver them..off they go...and if you can see the flaws in 3 seconds on video..you must get all 10s im assuming..good for you.
I am just getting back into sports cards and know nothing about grading. What I do know is coins, and with coins, you would expect that anything straight from the mint would grade at least the equivalent of a 9, but mostly 9.5s and 10s. Why would a card straight from the pack end up getting an 8, 7, or even a 6? That seems like a major problem from the manufacturer. I would think there would be a minimum quality expectation much higher than that.
Quality control is a big issue. Corner dings from packaging can happen. Rough edge cuts and print lines. Chromium cards have lots of surface issue potential. Scratching for example. It’s definitely not a guarantee a card is mint out of the pack.
Also, if a card doesn’t come back a 9 or better the value of that card doesn’t increase typically. An 8 will go for about what a nice ungraded copy will go for
What do u pay per card I have a young guns Micheal Bunting that I’m looking at getting graded to hopefully get a 10 just wondering what they cost to get graded
Hey man, just wanted to say i enjoyed the video! I just hit a Fantilli yg sillver outburst, and a red dazzler bedard, ive never sent anything to psa but im highly tempted too
very nice - I recently acquired a 1980 Wayne Gretzky OPC 2nd year - PSA 9 - but the back says printed by Topps. This is the first I ever seen like this. What are your thoughts on this?
I generally send in with the hopes of a high grade, however, I do resell too. However if you are a collector, it basically authenticates the card and the shape its in. As a collector, its never about the asdigned grade.
whatever you do dont be this guy and just send them in look at them and if there are any defects it wont be a 10 but if there is one defect or 2 minor defects you will most likely get a 9
Better search for a specific video playlist. Otherwise, you would be scrolling down all the videos and looking for the closest video on your topic for 15 minutes.@@Canadian_Cards
When you found out that I also make collectible videos, you wrote that you would take a look. But due to the fact that I do many topics, the collection videos are scattered among the others. Better to look at the thematic playlist. And all the videos are together.@@Canadian_Cards
I can see a lot of chipping on the edges and bad corners. A 10 is legitimately a perfect card. Don’t waste your time grading everything. You have to check through them with at least a magnify glass. Just because it’s out of a pack and wasn’t handled by you doesn’t make it a 10. I have a card that looks perfect and it has a woman’s nail imprint in the middle of it right out of a pack.
Some of those cards had clearly visible damage, not sure why you even sent them in. "sucks ass but what are you gonna do?" Well, how about you look over your cards better before sending them in. I can clearly see white corners on a lot of those 8's
@@Canadian_Cards nah, I'm good, but if you need help reviewing cards, reach out! If your goal is to sell, you're probably taking a loss right now with the grading cost.
Lots of plastic. You've wasted your money and in 5 years your gonna be selling these for at least $10 each. How did you do ? Stop contributing to creating more plastic

About 25 per card with PSA

Congrats on the hits!!
@@Canadian_Cards After watching your vid, it makes me a little more skeptical of PSA, seems like they reeealllly hate giving people back 10s
wow that price is so beauty
Thanks, sold that awhile ago...cheers
I must say I don’t know most of those players but there’s some pretty sweet looking cards there! Congrats on those 10s!
Thanks Jim
45 cards in under 9 mins!!! You should train others on how to make these reveal vids the RIGHT way!!
Spectacular, let’s go!!

I am not too sure about it..interesting for sure
I would say you got a Topps card
Congrats on the 10s from my own experience PSA is tough to get gem mint 10s so congrats.
Thank you very much for tuning in, I appreciate it.
Nice results loved the vid!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Mike, tough break on your Robertson's. Did have some nice 10's though. Talk soon buddy, Stephen
Appreciate you tuning in
You have a nice collection and Byfield will only go ⬆️
Cheers
I have an oversized Bedard YG I'm debating on sending in. It has a slight ding on one corner, but otherwise looks great. Is it worth it to send it in?
It's Bedard, he's the hottest commodity in the hobby, I would.
You didn't do too bad, at least you got a few 10's in today's state of grading.
Indeed..appreciate you watching
Some nice ones Mike , but seems like you had a tough grader , I don’t get PSA sometimes
Always a crapshoot
Yeah, PSA isnt controlling pop counts at all!?!🤔
Youre not wrong!!
@@Canadian_Cards Ill let you explain that to @SCVSportsCards
@@Canadian_Cards Mike, what hockey stuff are you looking to move that has a PSA grade of 9 or higher? Fiala interests me as does Byfield. Thanks

Any advice on how you determine if a card is worth sending? I’ve only sent one in my life and it got a 9.

There were some good outcomes and crappy outcomes. I am both happy and bummed out for you.

Some decent returns, but could always be better 😂 Do you buy all these cards as singles, or pull them from packs?
Ususally from box openings
Try and get some microfiber camera lens cloths and wipe your cards down before you send them. Nice hockey cards.
Sandpaper works better, lol
Do they seal them in that plastic rapper?
No, I put them on them after they return

Also...all of these cards were sold, did very well, so not concerned about getting 10s always
how much did it cost to submit all these?
To be honest, I cant even remember..did it through PSA Canada who was running a special I believe...thanks for tuning in!!
cool, ty for sharing!@@Canadian_Cards
I don't understand getting my cards graded because I don't care to sell any of them.
And that is great, however if people are buying higher value cards, they want to know the grade, it helps for reselling as well
Just subscribed. Dude it takes 10 seconds to vet a card, you don’t have time to do that? Your wasting so much $
No I'm not, see I've sold them all for a profit..Dude!!
And by the way..it's Vett..not Vet
You don't look at the cards? You just send them in?
