Born in Tochigi Prefecture in 1933. Moved to Tokyo after graduating high-school. In 1962, moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music after participating in many band sessions as a alto saxophone player. Representing as a top Japanese musician, also know as a talented photographer, publishes six picture books. As an Executive Producer of the Japanese Government Exhibition Project for the 2005 in Japan, advocates the message "World Peace" through music.
1933年、栃木県生まれ。高校卒業後、上京。アルトサックス・プレイヤーとして数多くのバンドのセッションを経て、1962年米国ボストンのバークリー音楽院に留学。
日本を代表するトップミュージシャンとしてジャズの枠に留まらない独自の音楽性で世界を舞台に活躍。写真家としての才能も認められ6冊の写真集を出版。2005年愛知万博では政府出展事業の総合監督を務め、音楽を通して世界平和のメッセージを提唱。

Reminds me of Keith's inviting comparisons with Bill Evans by taking on the same repertory. This tune is so closely associated with Stitt, but Sonny's experience as an itinerant blues man dividing his time equally between tenor and alto assures two unique voices (not to mention the two accompanists, with Monk's plodding chords at polar opposites to the modern-voiced chimerae supporting this altoist.
This is a shining, lustrous, vital sound; nevertheless, I'd recognize Stitt in a heart-beat, just as I do while comparing the alto versions on "Stars Fell on Alabama" (among Cannon, Phil and Stitt) or "Body and Soul" on tenor (among Dexter, Trane and Stitt). Sonny Stitt was the personal voice who simply was always there--at least between Chicago and Boston. Not always first but rarely 2nd. Not always the best but always combative, a noble gladiator primed to do battle whatever the horn or occasion. (But Miles clearly hadn't bothered to listen to Sonny before hiring him in 1960 to replace Coltrane as a modal player. Sonny wouldn't change his stripes, nor did he have to. He merely had to stay dry for his values to prevail.)

きょうの休日、一日中楽器や巡りだったよ。
最後のお店でリペアーマンと話が盛り上がって１時間くらい話したのが、
最高に楽しかった。目の前で安い楽器から高い楽器まで演奏してもらったよ。
スタンダードの最低ラインのヤツと高価なものを聞き比べたら、
高価なヤツの音を聞いた瞬間、リアル鳥肌したものね。あんなにハッキリと音の深み広がりが違うなんて衝撃だった。あの高価な管の音が、本当のＳＡＸの音なんだと思った。

Practical Uses for Permutations.

Many permutation examples use an independent variable with two conditions, and they permute these conditions for each subject for each electrode, and take the maximum t value across electrodes in each permutation, repeating this process 1000 times, and get a tmax distribution, then finding the 95th percentile value as a threshold. This way they control for false discovery rate across electrodes.
