the iron pigs KEEP GETTING IT DONE!!! Weston Wilson & Buddy Kennedy today Cal Stevenson yesterday Kody Clemens has had big hits Aramis Garcia even threw out caballero in the 9th the other day gotta give huge credit to Castellanos for getting in to scoring position to set up the winner JT did brilliant to protect on 0-2 vs Edwin Diaz and put good wood on a decent pitch to hit WHAT a series win after the miserable Friday night!
That was a damn good pitchers pitch. To hit that pitch the other way with authority like that you have to let the ball get “deep” in the zone so the bat coming thru is at the perfect angle to get a meaty part of the bat on the ball. A regular swing and you roll that over to third or dribble it to second. When JT is on he’s one of the best at taking it the other way.
They’ve all had extremely clutch and timely hitting but they have a combined batting average of like 109 or something crazy like that but I’ll take the clutch hits when the game is on the line
I don't know who it is that is working with these young guys coming up. but whoever it is needs to get a very big raise. cause everyone of these guys come up to play for the Phillies. they are playing they are hitting like they have been playing in the show for years. the people who are getting them ready to play for the Phillies. they need to be recognized. for a great job they are doing. can be were the Phillies are right now without those people and the young guys. the day care is getting bigger and better. let's finish what we started in 22 boys.
The clubhouse the Phillies have makes it easier to play without pressure. These guys who come in quickly see that everyone has each others back and that includes them *Should also I say that I agree with you, just adding my thoughts
@Slim_Ch4rles you are right those guys have each other's back. and they make the new guys feel that they are a part of the team big time. good call dude
The only thing is that they are not "young" guys. Weston Wilson is 28. Cal Stevenson is 30. Kody Clemens is 28. Buddy Kennedy is 25. These guys are professionals who always make sure that they are ready to step in and contribute whenever they get the opportunity. At this point, they're self-starters. They'll take whatever coaching or advice they can get, but they are where they're going to be for the rest of their careers. They're still playing a kid's game at this point because they love the game and not with the expectation that they are going to sign $2M contracts. Buddy Kennedy is making $94K. Cal Stevenson, $141K. Weston Wilson, $362K. Kody, $386K. That's good to great money for you and me, but, when the minimum is around $750K, these salaries are not much. They are hoping to get noticed and get a chance to stick with the big club, or get picked up by another club. The are, at best, a 4th or 5th outfield or infielder. MLB games; Wilson-42, Clemens-142, Stevenson-43, Kennedy-52 games. Honestly, they are on the cusp of MLB and MiLB , just a little below being good enough to stick with a big club. Stevenson and Kennedy go back down when Sosa and Hays come back. Aramis Garcia, backup catcher, who has 119 MLB games with 4 clubs, was DFAed yesterday, and Marchan will be backup next year. It's almost for sure that Stubbs will be sent down or gone next year. Remember Andrew Knapp? He's still around with SF, but he's played 3 games this year. Stevenson was DFAed, but came back to LV. But still, you're a professional baseball player!! Which pretty much everyone of us would love to be doing, including an old guy like me!
@user-eb5ni7rm6k you make a dam good point. being that I lived in North Philly born in 59. my father and my brothers would walk to Connie mack stadium. am 65 years old. to me they are young man. ha ha ha ha ha ha 😂 but you are right. its good they are finally getting their shot at playing in the show.
Would be much much better if they beat the Mets in the NLDS. CBP would be even crazier and louder than it was in 2022 & 2023 against the Braves in the NLDS
This team is so clutch! Sanchez looked great and it seems like every game a new young player is stepping up with big hits/plays. And that’s what wins games when it matters. Last year our stud players went cold in the playoffs and no one else stepped up. I don’t see that happening again this year. Let’s just pray we stay healthy and there’s no reason we aren’t in the World Series again.
We can win 10 of the last 13 games to reach 100 wins. Clinching the division and home field is most important but once that's outta the way, I'd love to see them get 100 wins
Agreed. And the Phillies have to stop “jogging” to first base. The Mets batter in the top of the seventh was racing to first. That’s the way the Phills ought to be running.
there's nothing I love more than seeing the Phils beat the Mets but at the same time I kind of want the Braves to miss the playoffs lmao. Phillies have a 4 game series with the Mets after the Brewers series, so considering the Mets are definitely getting swept I guess the Braves won't be missing the playoffs /:
The thing is with these younger players stepping up, it’s isn’t sustainable. In October you can’t rely on these minor leaguers if your starting lineup is going cold. That’s what worries me about the Phillies, just like last year in the NLCS when our bats go cold they ALL go cold.
@@stevengarrison1019 that’ll work. A split in NY does us good, but not the Mets who are 9 back and now slipping against the Braves, Padres, and Diamondbacks

The majority of throws are not perfect. That’s why you attempt steals. Gutsy call from Topper.

Right? I was at the pigs like 3 weeks ago and saw a bunch of these guys!
That throw from JT was a laser!

Phillies are so good right now
Props to Sanchez, pitched a helluva game
Huge series Win! 90-59 let's GO!
Sanchez was dealing! Hell of a game kid!
I was at the game today. Another great win
I want to see the Phillies sweep the NLDS after getting a first round bye. Even better if they can do it against Atlanta.
Wouldn’t mind going 4-0 lifetime vs Atlanta in the postseason.
Atlanta making the playoffs lol
Gonna get a three-peat against the Braves in the NLDS
Would be much much better if they beat the Mets in the NLDS. CBP would be even crazier and louder than it was in 2022 & 2023 against the Braves in the NLDS
Never. Gonna. Happen.
MAJOR vibes from when the Phils swept the Mets at home late in 2007, and capped it with a walk off. I was lucky to be there as a kid :)

Let's go Phillies!! Love beating the Mets!! Red October!!
In Philadelphia it’s the Mutts
At this point the Braves and Mets can just fight it out, the way I see it, this series was a division clincher for the Phils.
At this point I’m more focused on making sure we beat out the Brewers/Dodgers for the first round by
What a time to be a Phillies Phan
Always a good time to be a Phillies Phan winning or losing
GREAT GAME 😊🔥🔥
First team to 90 wins!

Clutch! Gotta love it. Castellanos stealing 2nd!
Let's go Phils
The quest for 💯 wins is still alive! Let's go phils!
Number 90 baby 🔥
Clutch, Clutch, and Clutch..go Phils
Buddy has become my buddy ever since he's come up
Two great ball clubs...GO PHILS ...

Roberto Clemente Day. Never forget the throw he made from the warning track to home plate on the fly. RIP.
expect castellanos homer tomorrow bc of the assassination attempt.
Wait huh?

"Assassination attempt" lol the radical conservatives are pulling out all the stops in a last-minute, last-ditch effort to gather support
Let’s Go Phillies!!! 🙌🥇
I am terrified by a first-round bye. Just look at what happened to them after the All-Star break.
On Saturday around 5:30, the Mets led the Phillies 4-0 and looked prime to sweep the Phils. On Sunday around 5:30, the Phillies had won the series.
Phils win and the cowgirls lose. It's a good day.
Awesome.. Go, Phils!
Another comeback win, late in the game...Good job boyz..Phils on Fire. 👍
Lets Go Phils!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet 😊
Let's clinch guys 💪👍❤

Great video but would prefer more unskippable ads
As a Phillies fan, that 1-2 to Winker was so goddamn high lol. Umpires need a fuckin reality check.

I like this Philadelphia Iron Pigs team,do they have merch?
They do! Awesome hats with an image of Ferrous, the Iron Pig.

Huge series win , but my rule of thumb you never bring in your closer in a tie game on the road. It will always come back to burn you.
Also: Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line
Silly Iglesias, thought he could steal a bag off JT
Nola and Wheeler are going to have to up their game if the Phillies are going to the WS.

Let's go 🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Silly Mets thinking they are going somewhere. Bless their hearts.
Love the Phils but umps like that ruin the game. Dude should not have been tossed out for something so soft.
Agreed. That was too harsh. I don’t see that call being a ball and changing the game, but not the best timing for a bad call
Big road trip upcoming @Brewers x3 + @Mutts x4
take 2 of 3 from the brewers , Id love to take 3 of 4 from the mets but I'll be happy with a split.
