My favourite unsolved mystery is where life came from. Its mind-boggling complexity (even in 'simple' cells like E. coli) sure didn't come from random interactions of matter, and the Second Law of Thermodynamics says you can't get order from chaos.
About the Mayans, that actually only explains what happened to one of their cities, the bigger and first one, located in Guatemala. Then they moved to to what it is now the south border of México, built some big cities too and kept moving. They never disappeared, you just need to go there, for they still live there, you will find them watching us trying to understand something that has never been a mystery to them, but one we have fabricated, and, of course, selling handcrafted gifts to the tourists who visit the archeological sites, which are gorgeous and amazing, by the way (both the sites and the crafts they make).

It's NOT what SP is (that's pretty much figured out) or why do people tend to hallucinate during the paralysis (there are plenty of hypothesis on that, too). What makes me wonder is WHY do so many people, from all over the world, young and old, man and female, all hallucinate the same (?) With a few minor possible variations, the content of those horrific hallucinations is almost always similar, no matter to whom or when does the paralysis occur. In general, people report visions of a tall dark shadowy figure in the room (frequently with an old woman alongside) that floats towards them and interacts, either by touching them, putting pressure on their chest or simply pulling the bed sheets on them... It's quite scary and strange. After all, hallucinations could and should take on a vast number of possibilities (why not pleasant visions, for a change, or perceptions of different things?) and the fact that everybody all around the world sees and feel similar things defeats all the odds. What the Hell is going on?
I've had SP a few times and it was never an old woman or anything like that. It was always seeing something like little aliens or some kind of small creature. As for why it's almost always something scary, my guess is that waking up 'paralyzed' is terrifying in itself. That would trigger a fear response in your brain which affects what you hallucinate.
Don't be silly. Everyone knows Anastasia Romanov was resurrected by Rasputin, who was Baba Yagas son, and then taken to Golarion by magical adventurers, where she became the new Witch Queen of Irissen. Check your facts, guys!

Just as I was about to turn the corner and enter the software section the thought came into my mind to look for a Bible codes program. As I turned the corner there was about 10ft of empty shelving four shelves high except for a single box of software directly centered and facing me. It was, Unlocking The Bible Codes. It was the only copy in the entire store that I could find. And I had barely enough money to buy it. And when I got home and got it running the codes indeed existed that indicated that I am indeed The Wickerman. My full name was there, wickerman was there, my birth date and place of birth and more. While, "The Wicker Man", is not in the Bible the idea of purification by fire is. Now it gets interesting! The number 57 coincidences started the next day. The number 57 was coming at me from every direction. Instead of raining cats and dogs it was a downpour of 57's. One day I was over my mom's house and I was trying to explain what was happening. She was sitting at the dining room table figuring how much money she saved on gas and I was sitting in a chair watching the news. Just then the news camera panned from the stern of the USS Cole past the hole in the side and stopped, framing its hull number using the whole screen of the TV. The TV displayed a giant 57. Just then my mom announced that she saved 57 cents. It turned out that the hull number of the USS Cole was really 67 but because of the style of the numerals and the TV cutting off the leftmost side and top of the 6 it just looked like a perfect 57. Then however the thought came into my mind, "is there a US ship with the hull number 57 and could it possibly have anything to do with me. I was actually praying not and could not imagine how it possibly could. I just wanted this craziness to end. Well there is a US navy ship with the hull number 57 and it is the USS Mitscher. I saw it immediately and was very upset. Mi__ch and ___s_her is what I saw. The first 4 letters of my first name and the first 4 letters of my last name in the correct order encoded in the name of the ship. Unbelievable! Not only that but the only letter that is not used to encode my name is a 't' and can be thought of to represent the endorsement of the cross. Not only that but at the time it was the only navy ship to be named after a foreigner. They had to break over 150 years of navy tradition for that to happen. Not only that but originally it was a different ship with a different hull number. That ship was scrapped and a new one built with the hull number 57. Just as though it was pointing to the resurrection or something. Then my mom tells me a story about my birth. She had a list of 10 names and my dad had a similar list. Michael was not on either list. No matter how many times they reworked their list they had no names in common. The name Michael kept being suggested by others so much so that they gave in and named me Michael. Then something strange happened. The head nurse of the nursery came to my mom and insisted that she not name me Michael. Any other name will do but not Michael. This nurse tried for three days to get my mom to change my name. I assume God won that battle and the devil lost. But considering the navy ship it can be understood why God wanted me named Michael. There is more. Concerning the song mentioned above there are these two lines. "The ferryman wants his money you ain't going to give it back He can push his own boat as you set up off the track" I am a walkin. It happened when this body was drowning in a mountain lake. So how does this song know that I am not 'pushing my own boat'? Then there is the movie K-Pax that is about a guy whom had drowned and was possessed by a spirit from another world. He was born in Arizona and I was also. His birthday was 7/27/1967 and mine is 7/27/57. There is that 67, 57 connection again. And why is a boat/ship involved again.? In the Omen, a movie about the antichrist, there were 7 ceremonial daggers, the aunt owned 27% of the company and the treaty of Rome signed in 1957 in that order. That's my birthday. Why is it that my last name if A=57, B=60, C=63 etc. adds up to 666. So when I "set up off the track" who do you think that the "ferryman" will turn out to be? Or does everyone think that this is all just some CRAZY coincidence?
You forgot the aspect of cannibalism with the Mayans, as for the other two, there was little to the anastasia mystery, and the rocks was a simple thing to understand people just didn't care enough to research it.
The greatest mystery of all is why do so many people believe in an historic Jesus of Nazareth. Modern theology agrees that there are no surviving first hand accounts, no contemporary witnesses and even the the gospels lack eyewitness testimony. Yet this is the most popular religion in the world. I think Jesus and Christianity are the most profound fictional events ever to be accepted as true. This religion's eastern Mediterranean foundation is rooted in syncretism, an amalgamation of Greek, Egyptian, Pagan and Jewish religions, beginning 2000 years ago and evolving to the present day
+Walter White No, you are incorrect. There are are no surviving first hand accounts, no contemporary witnesses. There are no extant "writings a few decades after said events referencing him...". This is undisputed and uncontested in all but the most fundamental of Christian scholarship. Fundamentalists who deny evolution, archeology, anthropology and most modern scientific theories. The burden of proof is upon you to show otherwise and not to make unsubstantiated, false claims.
OnePointSix12 'Undisputed" yeah, sure we'll go with that... The writings of Tacitus and Joesphus support my claim. So much for "unsubstantiated false claims" huh? It's not from a primary source, but like I said, first hand accounts aren't common in that age to begin with.
+Walter White Josephus??? What decade are you in? Modern theology concedes that the blurb in Josephus is an interpolation. I have read most if not all arguments for and against this misplaced paragraph and when you look at all the scholarship even the right wingers agree that the paragraph contains some interpolation. Your argument using Tacitus is both weak and disputed. According to scholars the original manuscript reading of the name of the group persecuted by Nero is Chrestiani (in the manuscript the word appears in an inflected form, Chrestianos). Christianos is a correction made in the manuscript by a later hand. You said there are "writings a few decades after said events referencing him...". I am waiting for something credible, some evidence for your claims or an admission that you were wrong.
+William Granger Because BCE/CE are the standard in scientific and academic discussion. Wikipedia actually has a really good breakdown of the issue. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Era
+HowStuffWorks I read it and it's clear that it is a useless gesture by secular organizations to try and deny that year 0 clearly corresponds to the birth of Jesus Christ. It is not a standard by any stretch of the imagination. The term "Common Era" doesn't mean anything whereas BC and AD clearly reference the the event that they draw their date from. And frankly, BCE and CE can be confusing when speaking since they are so similar which prompted my original comment.
Claimed to have been solved... I don't believe some of these explanations. There is no way of knowing that's really the reason the Mayans just up and vanished from there. Among various other reasons.
+Lord Hades It's because it's not true. The Maya didn't "vanish," and when I did archaeological work in Belize, they lates data from numerous surveys of the city states indicated there was no consistency in collapse between the Maya polities. They all sort of collapsed within a 60-70 year period for their own reasons.
+Lord Hades The first one, for example, is not real They take thats blood from the Nicholas II shirt and compare it with the one from "Anastasia" Different family... then... She was not the princess. Real more simply (And rather more logical work process) than find a second burial The one from the stones is just the latest theory The one from the MAya is, maybe, one in a lot of reasons. It´s easy understand these. The woman talk about UFO, that is the way how people tray to sale you a not logic explanation:, Present you just the more absurd from the alternatives
Thank you +Lord Hades for bringing that up. NO THANKS HOW STUFF WORKS for epic failing and perpetuating the disapearance of the Mayan culture. The Maya did not just "up and vanish". There are many Maya people still living in Central America (mostly Guatemala) still struggling for their identity today. It is anglocentric education that would have us belive the Mayans fucked up or had some kind of supernatural experience whipe them out of our world. In reality what caused many of the Maya to flea their ancient cities was the European invasion. Which as per usual included the mass murder of the people, and destruction of records and artifacts of the culture. By the time colonization was in full swing the surviving Maya people were treated as slave labor and systemically decreased by destroying as much of their ancient knowledge and culture as possible, denying them means to further educate themselves, and inflicting acts of genocide on them, such as massive amounts of rape and murder of women and children, and entire villages. This is one of the eras where the Mayans speak that there were rivers of blood, the blood of entire Mayan villages. This continued into the modern era, when U.S. intervention perpetuated the devalidation of the indigenous culture, not even aknowledging them as Mayan, and suppirted military efforts to do away with "rebel commies" which were mostly Mayan. People whose philosophy in life is harmony with nature, including protecting land and natural resources for all. Rejecting the notion of from external powers privatizing and expoitating the land and the people at the cost of the people, mostly Mayan (Guatemala's population is over 80% Mayan, i forget the exact #). The struggle to recongize that history and validate their identity, as well as a dignant life today, still continues for the Maya people. Research Guatemala's genocide trails against Efrain Rios Montt and other military officers that served under him, (a genocide that was secretly/illegally backed by U.S. forces). Those acts were commited on Mayan towns, and most of the people testifying in the case are survivors of that genocide...Mayan! The Maya people have been surviving long enough, insulting miseducation of confused "first worlders" doesnt help in reaffirming their struggle, their existance, or their dignity. I hope this has helped clarify, or atleast inspire folks to do their own REsearch. Peace and DIgnity for the Maya people!
Funny ending. "Aspic" when meaning "escape" and "whole civilizotion (or civilizocean) impuded" when meaning to say "whole civilization imploded"? Cute. But, be careful where you are when getting phonetics screwed up. I'm originally of eastern Massachusetts, where Gloucester and Worcester are or were regularly pronounced as Gloster and Worster or even Wooster, f.e. During the 1990s, I went to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for a work contract. One evening, I went to the nearest bar for the first time and it was ok. It was a place with a large room in which a loud country or western music band was playing, while the entrance was just a bar. There were no patrons in the bar and the door to the band side kept the bar quiet, so I sat at the bar and chatted with the friendly bartender. Then three women who I guess in their 40s came in and sat right next to me at the bar, so I spoke to the woman immediately next to me, saying hello, just starting a little friendly chat; and she blew up because of my phonetics being of Massachusetts and wrong. She knew right away that I was from Massachusetts and got so angry about my mis-phonetics that I wondered if she was going to start hitting me, or worse. "Ciivilizotion impuded" for "civilization imploded" isn't just about phonetics and is worse than just being off a little, phonetically. So, be careful; if you don't want to be attacked by a crazily orthodox individual in terms of linguistics, say. Just joking; although, the story about what happened at the bar in Cedar Rapids did really happen. Fortunately, the two women who were with the one who went crazy looked at me in sympathetic, friendly ways. Only the one immediately next to me exploded (not expuded :) ) with a fit of anger.
+mikecorbeil seems too many people believe they're (not there their ) spelling is correct or don't give a shit how it is spelled . Please check your facts - Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna (born 1901) was the youngest Romanov daughter, not the youngest Romanov child (That was Alexei Nikolaevich, the Tsarevich, born 1904).
a few inches per second is (assuming "few" means 3 or so) is about 900 feet per houra Are you saying no one noticed them covering 3 football fields in an hour?
Solved non-mystery: No, the South American Pyramids have nothing at all to do with the Egyptian Pyramids. They are completely different and are separated in history by thousands of years.
I'm not buying the sailing rocks story. I'm not saying it was aliens.....but it was aliens. And while I'm thinking of it, I have a mystery for you to solve; how does Giorgio Tsoukalos make his hair stand up like that?
The notion that the Maya destroyed their own forests on the scale required is absurd, as the forests were essential to Maya agriculture (particularly in the lowlands). The idea of a single reason for so many city states collapsing is so simplistic and childish that it should be beneath any serious inquirer into the issue. As someone who did some archaeology in Belize in the summer of 2014, I can attest to the prevailing ideas that were being supported by the archaeologists I was working with, including Dr. Jaime Awe: Each city state had its own reason for collapse over a period of roughly 60-70 years. Survey data shows no consistency in environmental stress across the numerous topographical regions inhabited by the Maya. Some may have collapsed from drought, some from volcanic boom-and-bust, others from political pressures, etc., etc. The region is too varied for a catch-all, and this parroted "destroyed all the forests" nonsense doesn't fit at all with the facts I was presented with on the ground.
when honey bees chose a hollow tree to live in? (a) is it because of condensation so they can have pure water to drink all year round ? Witch any modern bee hive does not provide for, which means bees have to gather polluted water, hence deacses. (b) because of size. or? (c) For shelter.?
In a book called " Dead Man Secrets" by Jonathan Gray< Narrated on UA-cam by George Gordon> There are over 950 scientifically documented instances of Out of Place Artifacts. All of which state there was very high technology in prehistoric times , even exceeding our technology today. What is your take on this in 2016.???. Say on the network of tunnels through solid stone underneath the Amazon, and huge networks and cities covered with Jungle there?? I mean What do you think the truth is??.....
Hector Cardenas The thumbnail is of the Aztec "Sun Stone" which depicts important dates in Mesoamerican (specifically in the Valley of Mexico) cosmology, which is important to Mesoamerican history and the understanding of their dating system. It is also commonly called the Calendar Stone.
um, rain water freezes? out there? where it never rains? Howcome we don't see more rocks sliding around on their own, making a trail behind them? Why only out there?
Well, if you must know, Anastasia is living with me and we have two princesses together and living happily ever after. Leave us alone already. Mystery solved, get off our backs about it.
I think this video should be called 3 unsolved mysteries with MAY have solved. None of this data is definitive. So it wouldn't really be solved, just furthering data to support specific theories.
If that is the case about the rocks moving then how would it make the drag marks if it were " floating", cos if the weight of the stone is heavy then how would it move, pluss if the ice formed around the rock while the rock is stationary it would look like a floating rubber swiming ring around the rocks waist made of ice, and she did say thin ice i cant see it to be fair.
Spontaneous human combustion. Whilst watching a documentary about burnt Egyptian mummies they explained how it happened. linseed oil , cotton and oxygen. Do a little research on those burnt mummies I haven't seen more heard anyone make the connection yet..Would make a great video! ....Your welcome.
I dont buy the sailing stones explanation. If they are 'floating on ice' then it wouldn't leave a track, or at least a track so minute that there wouldn't be edges to the track, which looks like there has been strong friction and downward force at work...
Search for the whole documentary; they dont actually float on ice, the ice sheets float over water, and as they float, they push the rocks which are always standing on the ground.
+Mike Henderson Empty air! They're old freight docking doors on the 4th floor of our building. If you want some really good vertigo, you can get really close and peer straight down to the ground. /Lauren
A probably outcome does not equal a solution. Thats just the best you have. Educated people are so up themselves. Got answers for everything, when really all the have is an attitude
i would have to go with suicide forest in japan, also known as Aokigahara, at the base of mount fuji. apparent hundreds of people mysteriously commit suicide here... but! not a lot of people know that in japan unsolved murders are chalked up as suicide to lower the crime rate. now, ask yourself this. if u just raped and murdered a teenager and were looking for a place to dump that body wouldn't it be in your best interest that u'd leave it somewhere that it would most likely be misconstrud as suicide. especially, when the forest has a history as it is.
The Mayan hypothesis its BS...Then like now people use wood for fuel to keep warm and cooking, except that now big corporations have modern machinery to cut down many acres worth of jungle everyday.Despite this modern abuse of the rainforest, it is still there serving the local people. How could it be then, that it was all used up back in the day? Also, Guatemala its a tiny area and most of its rain comes from the ocean and nearby land masses. Which makes it a target for tropical storms and hurricanes. Thus it doesn't seem plausible that "deforestation" was the answer why they disappear.
that rock thing is bs. Those looked like heavy rocks to me.... and to leave an imprint in the sand like that would take a good amount of weight upon the rock. So there would have to be a tornado speed of a wind gust to move those rock... Wouldn't there be more evidence of this 'wind swept' phenomenon around the area?
Love it! Thumbs up :)
My favorite unsolved mystery is who my dad is.
we don't want u anymore.. mystery solved.. 😂
***** Who's "we"? Explain.
+Karl Korp What are you talking about? He himself is a troll. LOL.
+Dick Killroy Now that's a mystery that only Jerry Springer can help solve!
+thearchitect27 You are... not the father
that stupid dubstep background music is annoying
It's a dubstep remix of the 'Unsolved Mysteries' show from the 90s. It's supposed to be funny, but sorry for the annoyance!
Chandler HSW Don't apologize to the naive.
Puthearoth Buth k
+chipchipersonmdphd That is correct. It ran all through the 90's too.
+Joseph Dynan i love synths! i have to know what synths/soft synths you used. i do composition. please share :)
I love the Unsolved Mysteries theme, always gave me a chill as a kid.
Me too!
did they ever find out who let the dogs out?
+Deshym Williams Some mysteries will never be solved.
it wasn't Michael Vick... :/
that dubstep music is about 5 years too late.
My favourite unsolved mystery is where life came from. Its mind-boggling complexity (even in 'simple' cells like E. coli) sure didn't come from random interactions of matter, and the Second Law of Thermodynamics says you can't get order from chaos.

Loved the "Unsolved Mysteries" music. Well played, HowStuffWorks, well played.
Moving a few inches per a second. U would think that would be noticeable for looking at a stone.
unsolved mysteries music always gives me chills.
The Mayan 2012 thing... I think they predicted the temporary hiatus of Twinkies

I did not expect this to be a dubstep video...
I literally (not figuratively) wrote a ten page paper talking about drought as the cause of the Maya collapse last night. Serendipity
The worlds biggest cigarette on the right in the first few seconds
The greatest mystery is why does anything even exist to begin with?
I am now more fascinated with the theory that the Maya may have migrated to Florida and that "Mi -ami" is a former Maya settlement. But hey, that's "just a theory".
LOVED THE VIDEO, WELL PUT TOGETHER.
Could the opening music be any creeper? Seriously almost gave me a anxiety attack... just something about the tune... (shudder) Thank gawd the beat dropped. I was about to bail.
The other reason we know Anna Anderson wasn't Anastasia is because her DNA was tested some years ago. She wasn't a Romanov, but the daughter of a Polish farmer.
Sorry Polish factory worker, not farmer.
That latest theory for "what happened to the Mayan civilization" is utterly ridiculous.
world mystieries and dubstep... they go SOO well together.
NO THEY DONT.
I have a mystery that I would like solved! Is it real or coincidence? Here is part of it.
I was at work and headed out the door to go home. A female co worker was standing on the counter wiping down the light fixtures and jiggling in a very interesting way. So jokingly I asked her if she was doing a little dance for me. Her reply was, "you are being wicked man". Not liking that characterization I said back the first thing that came into my mind. Hand of fate is moving and the finger points to you
He knocks you to your feet and so what are you gonna do
Your tongue has frozen now you've got something to say
The piper at the gates of dawn is calling you his way
You watch the world exploding every single night
Dancing in the sun a newborn in the light
Say goodbye to gravity and say goodbye to death
Hello to eternity and live for every breath
Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come
The ferryman wants his money you ain't going to give it back
He can push his own boat as you set up off the track
Nothing you can contemplate will ever be the same
Every second is a new spark, sets the universe aflame
You watch the world exploding every single night
Dancing in the sun a newborn in the light
Brothers and their fathers joining hands and make a chain
The shadow of the Wicker Man is rising up again
Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come

Then something strange happened. The head nurse of the nursery came to my mom and insisted that she not name me Michael. Any other name will do but not Michael. This nurse tried for three days to get my mom to change my name. I assume God won that battle and the devil lost. But considering the navy ship it can be understood why God wanted me named Michael.
There is more. Concerning the song mentioned above there are these two lines.
"The ferryman wants his money you ain't going to give it back
He can push his own boat as you set up off the track"
I am a walkin.
+Michael Sherwin Get a life.
Who was/is D. B. Cooper? That, for me, is one of the greatest mysteries out there.
You forgot the aspect of cannibalism with the Mayans, as for the other two, there was little to the anastasia mystery, and the rocks was a simple thing to understand people just didn't care enough to research it.
absolutely love the bloopers, rock on girl.
I'd be interested in watching your take on Atlantis
The greatest mystery of all is why do so many people believe in an historic Jesus of Nazareth. Modern theology agrees that there are no surviving first hand accounts, no contemporary witnesses and even the the gospels lack eyewitness testimony. Yet this is the most popular religion in the world. I think Jesus and Christianity are the most profound fictional events ever to be accepted as true. This religion's eastern Mediterranean foundation is rooted in syncretism, an amalgamation of Greek, Egyptian, Pagan and Jewish religions, beginning 2000 years ago and evolving to the present day
There is writings a few decades after said events referencing him actually. And you're acting as if documentation is common in that age
+Walter White
No, you are incorrect.
+Walter White
Josephus???
What's pathetic is that he's an old, odd looking man who's life seems to be devoted to this topic. Considering his UA-cam page...
Please solve the mystery of using the Aztec Calendar (Sun Stone) as the thumbnail image when talking about Mayan civilization.
1:00 I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE!
(This is one late comment. I'm just here looking for something fun to watch)
my most favorite mysteries is ARE WE ALONE??
Why can't they just say BC and AD?
+William Granger Yes, scientific terms are often confusing to Christians.
+Eric Rains I'm not a christian but I find the new terms confusing and pointless you're still sticking to the same 'system' what's the point.
+Alex stevensen I'd actually like to see it completely changed.
Ah, I finally got the Avengers reference.
The ancient drawing in Peru! I would love to know how they were done.
Claimed to have been solved... I don't believe some of these explanations. There is no way of knowing that's really the reason the Mayans just up and vanished from there. Among various other reasons.
+Lord Hades
Believe what you want, Reality won't even notice.
+Lord Hades The first one, for example, is not real
They take thats blood from the Nicholas II shirt and compare it with the one from "Anastasia" Different family... then... She was not the princess. Real more simply (And rather more logical work process) than find a second burial
The one from the stones is just the latest theory
The one from the MAya is, maybe, one in a lot of reasons. It´s easy understand these. The woman talk about UFO, that is the way how people tray to sale you a not logic explanation:, Present you just the more absurd from the alternatives
Anna Anderson's DNA didn't match family members. Solved years ago.
They can be intelligent , know how the world works , be gentle , kind ,good family people , but when they spell badly due to LAZINESS, they make themselves look like idiots , IJITS as Yosemite Sam ( Bugs bunny ) spells it. Please folks , use the autocorrect , take your (not youre ) time , google the word . I guaranty only ijits will sound uneducated and lazy . Also check everything before hitting REPLY . PS . THEN and THAN are totally different meanings . If you care , find out for yourselves. PPS . If you are young ,PLEASE stay in school .You wont regret it . Mike , nice story about Iowa , there's all kinds , aren't there ? Stay well .
Please check your facts - Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna (born 1901) was the youngest Romanov daughter, not the youngest Romanov child (That was Alexei Nikolaevich, the Tsarevich, born 1904).
I imagined Robert Stack breakdancing to that dubstep remix
so if those stones are moving a few inches a second how is that too slow for people to notice it?
1:32 Hey, what's Paul McCartney doing there on the right hand side?
a few inches per second is (assuming "few" means 3 or so) is about 900 feet per houra Are you saying no one noticed them covering 3 football fields in an hour?
Thank you for such an insightful video which I enjoyed very much so
Solved non-mystery: No, the South American Pyramids have nothing at all to do with the Egyptian Pyramids. They are completely different and are separated in history by thousands of years.
The "Dakota Double Death" case has always bothered me. Has that ever been solved?
What do you think about Voniyatch script human
Can you do a video about the Cicada 3301 and Mariana web. Both of them would be really interesting topics to do a video about.
How did Elisa Lam end up inside the rooftop water tank?
+Nume Moon Wow, yes. That's a terrific, tragic one.
I really liked the music in the background... nice change
^_______^ You might be the only person who's commented who thinks so. So thank you! Glad you dug it!
😎
the clock is alive...isn´t it, it´s keeping a perfect watch on you mentally.
Right, I'm still a skeptic of the whole explanation for the stones moving.
Love the bloopers.
I want to know wtf is going on in the Bermuda Triangle. I suspect it's got something to do with magnets.
That's possible
methane sinks the ships and brings down the planes as for the electronic devices you would be correct assuming magnetics are involved 👍
Is it really true that, " he who smelt it dealt it"?
no it's the train tracks in your shorts..
when honey bees chose a hollow tree to live in? (a) is it because of condensation so they can have pure water to drink all year round ? Witch any modern bee hive does not provide for, which means bees have to gather polluted water, hence deacses. (b) because of size. or? (c) For shelter.?
Unsolved but solved = ununsolved
brian dunning covered thr moving rocks some years ago in one of his skeptiod podcast.
triangle clearly visible behind Lauren's head....illuminati confirmed
Link to thumbnail? Pls
Who was Jack the Ripper? I hear once that could have been the city's undertaker.
Minor complaint, but the Mayan calendar that you used in the thumbnail isn't Mayan, it's Aztec.
It is not even a calendar...
Giant chunks of ice fall from a clear blue sky =Concave earth truth the reason for the beautiful Chem trails
Thin sheets of ice catching enough wind to push 700 pound rocks that dig troughs as they move? Yeah Right... that's it
Well, if you must know, Anastasia is living with me and we have two princesses together and living happily ever after. Leave us alone already. Mystery solved, get off our backs about it.
my ex believed that the Mayan were so pure that they just were obsorbed into the earth's energy.... I'm glad we wernt together in 2012..... 0_o
I think this video should be called 3 unsolved mysteries with MAY have solved. None of this data is definitive. So it wouldn't really be solved, just furthering data to support specific theories.
Anastasia was the youngest daughter, not the youngest child: Alexei was the youngest.
+Aoderic Oof, you're right. That was a silly mistake to make. Thanks for the correction! /Lauren
No problem Lauren. And keep up the good work : )
I read on Wikipedia that the japan was populated around 30,0000 years ago. how did they get there? how did the aborigiones end up in Australia. ?
What form does the destroyer of worlds take?
If that is the case about the rocks moving then how would it make the drag marks if it were " floating", cos if the weight of the stone is heavy then how would it move, pluss if the ice formed around the rock while the rock is stationary it would look like a floating rubber swiming ring around the rocks waist made of ice, and she did say thin ice i cant see it to be fair.
The mystery of my dad
+chipchipersonmdphd hahaha 😂😂😂
***** nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The rocks move a few inches per sec that's actually pretty fast for a moving rock.
Mystery of Elisa Lam on Cecil Hotel for now....??
*listening**listening* "Oh! Rad Kate Beaton shirt!"
Kate Beaton is the bessssssst /Lauren
The music was cool!
CICADA 330I is a mystery too complicated and yet to be solved...
Here's a mystery. Why are you stranded in a creepy abandoned warehouse?
+Qermaq That's no creepy warehouse, that's our office building. www.poncecitymarket.com
+HowStuffWorks Ok, but looking there, this seems like the part they'd rather I not see, agreed?
dubstep. what is this 2011? Adorable host.
Question: what's behind those doors?
+Mike Henderson Empty air! They're old freight docking doors on the 4th floor of our building. If you want some really good vertigo, you can get really close and peer straight down to the ground. /Lauren
What happened to Roanoke?
My favorite mystery is the murder of Elizabeth Short.
A probably outcome does not equal a solution. Thats just the best you have. Educated people are so up themselves. Got answers for everything, when really all the have is an attitude
what happened to the collony at Rhonanok? Did a group of indians attack them or just adopted them into there tribe?
I knew the answer to all of these already except 1, 2 & 3.
i would have to go with suicide forest in japan, also known as Aokigahara, at the base of mount fuji. apparent hundreds of people mysteriously commit suicide here... but! not a lot of people know that in japan unsolved murders are chalked up as suicide to lower the crime rate. now, ask yourself this. if u just raped and murdered a teenager and were looking for a place to dump that body wouldn't it be in your best interest that u'd leave it somewhere that it would most likely be misconstrud as suicide. especially, when the forest has a history as it is.
The mayan empire was surrounded by trees!! that's highly impossible
The John Titor (urban legend) Mystery
The Mayan hypothesis its BS...Then like now people use wood for fuel to keep warm and cooking, except that now big corporations have modern machinery to cut down many acres worth of jungle everyday.Despite this modern abuse of the rainforest, it is still there serving the local people. How could it be then, that it was all used up back in the day? Also, Guatemala its a tiny area and most of its rain comes from the ocean and nearby land masses. Which makes it a target for tropical storms and hurricanes. Thus it doesn't seem plausible that "deforestation" was the answer why they disappear.
Headline revision. "Three things that happened."
that rock thing is bs. Those looked like heavy rocks to me.... and to leave an imprint in the sand like that would take a good amount of weight upon the rock. So there would have to be a tornado speed of a wind gust to move those rock... Wouldn't there be more evidence of this 'wind swept' phenomenon around the area?
Narrator is cute! Love your bangs.
so he'll have the same fate as the Mayans...
