the riser pads don't align perfect because u have risers made for ventures! the risers were labeled with a "V". the riser pads made for thunder are labeled as "T".
Someone that skates with Andrew Reynolds told me he was exclusively skating dragon wheels for a while so he must be getting spitfire to copy that formula.
Just saying being your first time you are setting up a real board you over thought the setup. So risers if you try flipping the riser you would see that it fits properly and besides if you skate and do slide on your tail or nose any sticker or any thing like a riser hanging in the slide zone it will bite or slow your slide being a huge poser mistake but just speaking from skating for years and still throwing my tail and Ollie’s over the cooping and far grinds for a old dog I still love to skate and rails yes helps with your slide but truly was for grabs more and used more for reinforcing your deck making it almost bomb proof. And properly installed to the concave of your board and the grip that fit you will dictate the placement. So a board with a lot of concave the rails are useless because the rails will raise the edge the middle will exceed the rail unless you brin it in way to much the last thing you want is the middle draging and your rails are not sliding so that’s why street skates no longer rock rails now days
I’ve actually never owned a set of spitfires. Been digging the x97. x99 seems nice but haven’t ridden them yet, still in packaging. I do like the smoother and quieter ride, less vibration
Hi! nice setup! nice wheels. The risers you bought are for "Venture Trucks" notice they have a "V" (green tag), the ones for "Thunder Trucks" have a "T" (blue tag), and the ones that are "Universal" have a "U" on the tag (yellow tag).
They flatspot .very disappointed. U wont get it if you powerslide on rough ground cus the wheels get chewed easily , more so than the dragons. but I got flatspots on fairly old skatepark ground with these wheels , they feel good with nice rebound . Completely silent on slides at least my set of wheels are Renolds are .regardless of surfaces 😅
Got them in a 56D on a 9" Herion board with AF1 66 Hollows. Fantastic wheel! Got the Dragons and the sapphire spitfire too, I think these new 93's are the best!
Real makes risers for Thunder and Venture. You have the risers made for Ventures. That's why they're not lining up right. I have both, and they line up perfectly with the right truck. Great risers. I'm definitely gonna get some of those 93a Spitfires. I'm glad they're finally making a softer durometer wheel. Thanks for the review.
I love the blue meanie so much i bought 2, I like the fact it’s more of a shovel nose and tail. Very squared. It’s an 8.75 at the front truck and 8.5 at the back truck. I had 149 Indys and 58mm OJ double duros on mine.
For the bones bushings they don't require a bottom washer so that's why they feel tight. I personally use a standard top washer on the bones bushings instead of their included black ring after seeing many pros do that.
I skated a Blue Meanie during COVID lockdown and liked it more than i thought I would. Had it setup with indy 159 titaniums and 52mm conical fulls. Even though it was an absolute tank, it was way more nimble feeling than I thought it would be

Cool setup. Once you are stuck in wide boards, you never go back to smaller decks! 😁👍🍻🛹

overhang is for classic boards and independant trucks, you mounted them right

This is such an old guy setup and I love it
Oh my goodness I love those bushings they don’t even have to break in at all they are perfect

The extra pop could be the extra steepness from the risers and big wheels. The flip tricks looked real nice
Super sweet setup. Also love the Will Marshall Alltimers peeking out in the back.
awesome channel man I have the magneto deck with 51mm 95A wheels. Trouble trucks looks like a good brand
